• Inventory Split Incoming

    MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

    Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

    Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

Baffled by the affairs that had taken place, and the madness of those that had given her a seat of power, N'omiel would decree:

At this point the poor critter would lose interest and focus and would wander off to find entertainment elsewhere. Meanwhile, her announcement would be properly penned and translated for the citizens of Regalia.

By order of her Highness the Empress of Regalia, N'omiel M'triche, no meats or fish are welcome in the Imperial Palace nor are they allowed to be sold or consumed on the streets directly below it. All manner of Q'urebo and Ersin will be provided homes and sanctuaries about the Regalian parks, and are furthermore protected by our most holy Regalian Law from being harmed. Any Q'urebo which may identify themselves as a M'triche are to report for an audience with the Empress. Furthermore, all Crelin are henceforth no longer welcome; if discovered, these vermin are to be promptly slain or shipped away from our most Holy city. In finale, the Empress declares that citizens must partake in more celebrations to honor our most beautiful Goddess, Estel. The "F'est E'ma Estel" is hereby declared a holiday of worship and occurs upon the second day of Spring.

While the first move of moving the nobility closer to the court works in terms of controlling their freedom while creating an atmosphere of competition for the favor of the Empress. The increased military power and state controlled taxation however results in increase of poverty across the realm as the nobility were often suit to spend money in their own realm as opposed to the state wide level. Decrees spanning all realms are paid for by the state now, and unfortunately this means the richest regions bear the heaviest burdens for the poorer regions, causing the income gap to be disrupted. Rich regions see their wealth flow away in favor of lands far away, eventually causing civil disobedience and severe rioting in the northwest of the Empire. Disruptions in the food productions from the Angle merchants eventually causes famine in the Empire, and people die, but the state's power does become more solid. Eventually the country transitions to an absolute monarchy structure from its old feudal system, though not without the cost of tens of thousands of lives.

Thus was the rule of Empress Ellenore the tyrant who wished to control all.



The heavy relianceon fire and lightning mages and the forced occupation of court mages in all noble families creates an uneasy situation of magical presence in every layer of society. This eventually boils over to the point where the mages rebel, having been positions to kill nearly every noble family within arm's lenght and destroying the state's aristocracy overnight. Even the Emperor falls and as such, the Empire is disbanded to be replaced by a Manocratic state ruled by mages. The mundane population suffers severely at the hand of magic abuses as decades of magical repression are reversed and mages suddenly become privileged citizens. The state while militarily strong, simply becomes a defunct corrupt and stagnant state, much like the Elven Empire of old. The Void invasion starts anew eventually due to the increase in magic tearing open the veil once more. At this point the militaries of Aloria are no longer able to cope with the void invasion and the world's civilizations are destroyed and all life on the planet ends, for another cycle to begin in a thousand years.

Thus was the rule of Emperor Faechon Oldor, the emperor who literally destroyed civilization.



Without the logging in Daendroc, the Regalian military and merchant fleets stagnate and no progress is made with progressive payments in the military anymore as the state believes offensive strategies will no longer apply. The state's military eventually simply becomes a shadow of its former self and succumbs to foreign invasion of militarists who do have freshly built warships and maintained military supplies, not even to speak of rampant crime and unemployment in Daendroc itself

Thus ends the rule of the somewhat Holy Emperor, who urned Daendroc into a cesspool of prostitution and piracy and stagnated the Regalian navy.

All lesser races, mixed-bloods and heretics are hereby banned from the City of Regalia. They are ordered to establish residence in temporary camps and settlements throughout the eastern coasts of Daendroc until they are processed by Regalian law, converted to Unionism, and distributed evenly throughout the archipel or empire and its dependencies.

Her Imperial Holiness also calls upon the Regalian clergy, ordering the congregation of a holy diet to edit and add upon the Creeds of Unionism. Changes include the canonization of the Imperial Spirit passing to females, the legitimization of Her Imperial Holiness' rightful ascension and inheritance of the Imperial Spirit, and laws and codes enforcing these new additions along with the more trivial (enforcement of female modesty, daily prayer, etc.).

The last act of Her Imperial Holiness is to evaluate the function and state of the Imperial State Council and its members. A small Imperial Cabinet is formed to function thus (its seats given to close friends and allies to Her Imperial Holiness). Nobility in their governmental offices shall keep their positions unless deemed inefficient or resistant to imperial dictation or mindset. Loss of office would also result in the stripping of landed titles aand courtesies, though personal familial/business wealh and assets are untouched.

By the Decree of the Holy Nelfin Emperor, Shayane Carassena of Regalia,

Regalia will no longer welcome mages, collared or not, other than those of Light, Beast, Spirit and of course Evergrowth. The lower class citizenry will be submitted to academies dedicated to teaching the legal magics, especially Evergrowth. It is then ordered that the Holy City of Regalia will be covered with flowers, trees, and special little nature areas. Citizens will be required to wear a flower over their left heart that indicates social class and rank by color. In Daendroc, as the loggers from Daenshore and Lusits cut the trees away, Regalian Evergrowth Mages shall regrow, generating more income. As a final act, all Evergrowth Mages without any rank of law enforcement or nobility will be subjected to slave service in creating the biggest flower in all the land, a symbol of post- Nenyarina power and prestige.

We donnae want teh world ta think we're liars, and teh Light would be disgraced by such actions.

(First, my inner circle spreads propagana about an impending void invasion and such, everythign a lie of course, but to scare the people. ANy scholars who would actually know that it isnt coming would be convinced otherwise or "conveniantly" dies accidentally or goes on a "vacation".)

By Decree of the lovely Seria, military forces will be expanded exponentially to protect our dear subjects from the impending void invasion. There will be a slight tax increase, but it all goes to your safety. Nobles, please donate as many reserves as you can spare. All men who enlist themselves into the military will be paid handsomely after the invasion is dealt with.

Assuming that works, I then grow my military forces and use constant fear (and construe new ones) as to create a very large military foirce. Secretly in my military force I make a very harsh system and hierarchal. Loyalty to me is stressed, adn I come out every now and then and help the lower soldiers to make them trust me, even if they hate their superiors. Superiors now hate me, so I execute them as void-conspirators or something an common soldiers love me more. I also show them I am to be feared by murdering dissenters. At this time, I make surre plenty of propagandsa for me is posted out, while I oppress dissenters. I use my big army to force myself into dictatorial powers. I also lavish the nobility with gifts and more power to keep them in check, as long as they obey me. At the first sign of rebellion from them, I offer plenty of money to the other nobility to help me vanquish them. I also establish a secret police force to liquidate opponents. Where is the money coming form?

By royal decree for the safety of all people against the void invaders, more taxes must be charged. But don't worry, we all are sacrificing [painting of me in simpleton clothes in a modest setting] and the soldiers are winning the war!

What war? Oh, propaganda books are being posted about the front, since now I have told everyone that the void is attacking and their tax dollars are being put to use fighting an (imaginary of course) void army. Schools will be closed because "the gov't can't support it", but the academic are given jobs as advisers in my palace. This allows me to watch closely over the while utilizing their intellect and also ensure they aren't trying to cause uproar. More armies and secret police. Propaganda goes out of my valiant war efforts and helping the sick. A cult forms aroun me. The church officials are bribed into spreading Pro-Seria messages, and are probrably pleased with me since the now dumb-downed masses are more interested in CHurch(a proven fact over time). If a priest or someone doesn't agree with me, then unfortunate accidents happen to them accidentally(wink). More and more, Seria is shown through paintings and books to be a god-like figure, and the church is either to slowly raise my status as so in their teachings or be totally destroyed and replaced. The intellectuals and education is removed from society, so the masses of people are totally ensared in my culture dedicated to me which teaches of their purpose and importance. Of course, to "protect them against the void" taxes are raised more. Strict order is in my army and secret police. And I have a secret-secret police for dissenters in my secret police. ANy opposition is liquidated. I remain friendly with other nations via trade and bribe and my large army. I also institute ideas of nationalism, forgiving race differnces and making emphasis on "a united people, strong and dedicated, under the Serian flag" Eventually, through repeated process, I have a huge army, little crime(all crime, no mater how trivial, is to be executed for), nobles are given everything they request(eventually they become mere puppet heas, and the adventurous ones "accidentally die in a far-off battle"), severely repressed sumb citizens,and a culture dedicated to me.

Plan-B: Should I fail somewhere along the way, and the nobles/people rise up against me, I will secretly get a strong, virtuous, noble-looking man. I will then make myself look very erroneous and do bad policies. He will then be "conveniantly" in a position to fix and uprise against my bad policies. He will gain support from the masses against my order. Eventually, he will purportedly coup and kill me. In actuallity, I go into hiding in a nearby palace and he takes charge and acts as my puppet head. Of course I have super-loyal-to-me guards hovering over him every second. My dynasty will be a hidden one then.

And since I knd of broke the rules here by detailing my plan and story, you may stop and retort on any point of my rise in power. I based the story off of Communist Russia and French Louis XIV, btw. When people are in fear and have an enemy, they will fall to tyrannical rule. And when people are REALLY oppressed and are rather dumb, they fall believe what they are told. Ask Stalin: he killed millions of his own people and sent them to slaughter, but they were so oppressed, they glorified him. He was a cult figure. Russia only fell from Communism after post-Stalinist leaders tried to liberalize a bit. Anyways... would it work?

By the decree of Emperor Jason Glenwood, Elves become first-class citizens. Ailor have moved down a notch to be second-class. A few additions have been made, as seen below:
  • First Class - All Elven races, though demon-possessed Shendar are strictly forbidden. The Chi'en-ji are also now first-class.
  • Second Class - New addition: Ailor, Tigran, Thylan, Urs, and Ersin are now second-class.
  • Everything else stays the same.
Vampires, undead, and Crelin must be down in the sewers at all times. There will be a guard at all sewer entrances, 24 hours a day. The guard rotates every 3 hours. The Faith of Estel is now the primary religion, though all other religions are tolerated. If one acts on a "Religious Influence/Command/Calling/Vision" resulting in the harm of another/any form of crime committed, they will be punished accordingly, no matter what faith they are. If one comes into Regalia a vampire, or becomes one in the City, they will be escorted to the guard at once. They will have 3 options: Death, curing, or life in the sewers. If a vampire comes up from the sewers in a nonviolent way, they will be given 2 options: Death, or curing. As for nobility: The Glenwood Elves become the royal family, and any first-class citizens may become nobility. Second-class can also become nobility, but only when given permission by me. All slaves are freed, and given enough money to start a new life. Regarding magic: Healing Light is allowed with no penalty. Some forms, such as both types of Sight magic, are allowed. They can be recruited into the guard to spot crimes from farther distances. Both types of Wind magic are legal, but may not be used in a criminal way. Storm Bringers are primarily used in the army. Gusting Wind is used on ships. Evergrowth is legal as well. Any other magic is illegal, or requires a special license. If any form of magic is abused, depending on the level of the crime, the caster will be punished accordingly. All studies and labs are asked to begin the advancements of Regalian technology. Dwarves are asked to start work on massive steamships and airships, to potentially create a floating city. They are also asked to begin work on a set of wings that can be used by a man. As an experiment, Enviromental Manipulation stone mages are asked to loosen the smallest island in the archipelago. Once construction of the massive airships are complete, they will try to lift the island. That will, if it works, become a special form of combat if we ever need it. Evergrowth mages are asked to create giants such as the did during the war of Elven Subjugation. String mages, by the way, Marionette mages are also allowed due to their harmlessness, are asked to use these "Titans" as they will be known, as a form of land defence/offense. The "Dredge Fleet" as it was called, will become a permanent subgroup of the navy.
I know I'm missing something, and this must be very hard to read, but I must leave now. Emperor stuff, y'know.

All races except for Talar elves have been demoted to third class citizens.
All current Ailor nobility are to be taken in and executed by the Violet Order.
All races except for Talar elves have to live in the poor district. You may apply for a common home.
Instead of jail punishments, all criminals will be dismembered, one limb at a time, before execution.
Regalia's gates will be closed, so no citizen can escape the city without a permit. People trying to escape the city will instantly be killed by guards.
Golden Willow will be shut down.
Streets will be filled with propaganda praising the emperor.
Vampirism is legal.
All humans except for Ailor are kill on sight.
Allar are kill on sight.
Kleinfolk are kill on sight.

Last but not least; A new, fancier bath house will be opened for the people of Regalia.

Very necroed. Though on that note, I am realizing that many people's first actions as Emperor went completely unanswered when this thread was new...

By decree of his holiness Gisle Magnus ,A Large scale raid will take place in the sewers by Military of the state, all found in the sewers will be arrested. Anyone who fights back will be killed without hesitation as treason to the crown.
 
By Decree of Emperor Darius Silevon, these following laws will be ut into action within the year:

1) The Azure Order's power has been heavily diminished. All forms of Celestial, Spiritual, Soul and nature magic has been legalized, if the user has the nessecary papers, signed personally by the Emperor, and his court of advisors. All ofther forms of magic can still be persecuted, and if the mage of the legalized forms of magic is found ton be using their magic for violence of illegal activities, will be collared, and dealt with just as any illegal mages would. The Breon Accord.

2) All Nelfin besides Shendar and Saivalthar have been risen to be of equal right to that of Ailor. The Silevon accord.

3) All former members of the Lo Usurper's court, guard-force and or close family will be brought forth to the new emperor, and suffer a fate chosen by him. This will be named the Momoiroba Accord.
 
By the Highest Decree of Emperor Alak'aer Iethos, a new law would be put into effect. Town criers and pamphlets would be everywhere, proclaiming His words:

"I, the Sanctioned and Presiding Emperor of Regalia, do proclaim this new law as the prerogative and priority of all states, land, and lives owned by the Regalian Empire: All mages, all soldiers, and all chapters within Regalia and it's Navy are hereby pressed into immediate and imperative service to combat and destroy the Isldar and their kingdoms for their crimes against Unionism, their tyranny, and their unacceptable heresy. Furthermore, all people of all races within reach of The Holy Empire are encouraged to join this crusade. If they agree, they are to report to the Regalian Landmass on March 27, 306 to assemble and prepare to sail. This army will be closely watched by a cartel so named the Nenyarina: All Evergrowth Mages, all Yanar, all Cielothar, and all willing to join. Their job will be to keep the peace and keep the order. Each ship that sails to Ellador will have a small Evergrowth garden present in it. If any member of this army commits treason, they will be dragged to a garden, detained, and executed. Every member of this army is granted protection, citizenship, and promise of reward whatever the result of this war. On April 27, 306, this army sails to Ellador with a strategy that will be explained and practiced in the month prior. We will eradicate the Isldar, and take Ellador and all riches in the name of the Holy Spirit of Unionism!"

All would hear of this, and the night of its passing the Nenyarina would burst forth and start their watch. They themselves were watched by Alak, and his personal contingent that included the original Nenyarina established by Niantha Heiwynn. The new Nenyarina itself was 5,000 strong, as Aloria has been searched and picked at in the year preceeding this announcement. The time to fight was now, and all who disagreed were held captive and taught to agree through... unsavory methods. So began the Holy Crusade of Regalia.

Jjeu'crrëitauo Ünnöá: The class system will be reformed with the Nelfin species as first class, with the exception of Shendar and Saivalthar. The Ailor, Qadir, and Che'ji Will remain first class. The yanar, Dwarves, Tarchlann will make up the second class. All remaining species will be considered outsiders unless applying for citizenship. Marked races that cannot reach first class are as follows. Orcs, Wulong, Rashaq, Lampar, Tigrans, and Saivalthar.

Jjeu'crrëitauo Ll'ossüí: nobility families already established will remain in the possession of their titles, but now nobility titles are open for holding of the nelfin species.

Jjeu'crrëitauo Tll'ësaou: The government will be reformed into a Jjaëcinúb'llicńajja with the crowned emperor at the head of the Ssëll'nnácöjj'o. The system will consist of 3 Representatives from each sovereign state within the empire's borders.

Jjeu'crrëitauo Cuëuu'aöttjjo: The dominant religion will remain as unionism, however the practice of the faith of Estel will be legalized throughout the empire, but all other beliefs are outlawed in the empire's borders and are considered heretical faiths.

Jjeu'crrëitauo Ccíall'nnácöu: Military power is to be exemplified and expanded in the foreign world, as the empire must hold a tighter grip on its claims, by decree the empire shall have a greater presence militarily and politically in foreign states outside the crown isles, and by decree, land regulations and claims will be put in order and regulated by the crown isles by circumstance.

The Ten Decrees of The Holy Empress Nlaea I,

1) Violent discrimination of heretics is now illegall.
2) Rations of bread and meat will be passed out to the Regalian poor.
3) Anyone may join the Regalian Military; they will be provided a cot and daily rations.
4) A form of Hamarabi's Code will be installed into Regalia's legal system.
5) The Treaty of Aequalitatem was signed on June 7th, 305 A.C. which controls and regulates nobles' power.
6) Noble families are allowed up to four titles depending on weather they are high or low nobility.
7) If a man is named "Solus" by the empress he or she will be banished from Regalia.
8) All ducal areas and counties must be granted by Empress Nlaea I.
9) The Senate of Twelve is a council made of appointed nobles that are tasked with regulating Regalian law and promoting government officials.
10) Women and men have equal rights.
 
By decree of his holiness Noel Hathaway the First, all of bastard blood or disownment shall be casted out of Regalia or face execution - no matter blood, age, or race. All and any of such birth are the cause of an illegal act against the True Regalian Law and such causes should be eliminated as soon as I've concluded. The only exceptions to such laws are the children of slaves - such as the Tigran, Slizzars, and Allar who are legally allowed to be owned as of today.
 
By decree of her holiness Fjola Tjostolf the first, the following rules shall be put into fruition in the span of one one month.​

1) All women of Common or poor birth shall bare three MALE children who will be placed within the Regalian Archipelago's defense at the earliest age possible if not sent abroad for special boarding or education of martial and or defense arts. Any women who have not birthed at the least a single child by the first quarter of their life shall be executed or put to work in place of where there son would work in the future.

2) Men of noble birth shall dye their hair the same colors of their house crest. If not able or willing they will be promptly stripped on any titles and legally removed from their current housing situation if said housing situation was within a noble estate or palace.

3) The law of life shall be exempt from third class citizens but they shall not be mass jailed. Instead every week they are to be rounded into a closed off section of the archipelago in order for nobles or wealthy common folk to watch the slaughter of the lesser beings. No food or water is to be given to them at the least a week in advance in order to bribe the winner with a single loaf of bread and half a keg of water. Bodies are not to be buried by love ones and the main mass brawl ends after exactly five hours.

4) Smoking opium and or opioids during a pregnancy will result in the mother (even of privileged birth) being stripped of child after birth unless sex of the child is female. In case of the child being male it will be placed within an orphanage the size of the Imperial palace in order for raising and education as to war and the history of Regalian politics. In case of child being female they will remain with the mother, but on repeated offense by mother every child of both gender is to be stripped of the mother and she is to be fined multiple thousands of regals. If the mother fails to pay the fine she will be promptly executed by burning at the stake.

5) Intercourse before marriage is strictly forbidden for female nobility, but male nobility are not allowed to purchase any concubines, or prostitutes. The first time this act is put in place by a woman they have the choice of a fine of one thousand regals, or a brand on the back of their neck. The second time they face minor jail time and possible stripping of lesser than county titles. Third time they have a high chance of becoming a woman of the Unionist church. If the third time is reached then they lose any and all political/social/given titles as well as lose any wills to land given to them by right of birth, and have their heads shaved and they will be forced to wear blood red cloaks and dresses.

  • All noble armies are declared disbanded, and in its place the central government will expand the Regalian Navy and Army to include these troops. Furthermore, all members of the nobility, be it baron or viceroy, shall withing the next month pledge fealty at the Imperial palace. For their right to rule stems from the Crown, and ony in the service of the Crown shall their rule be prosperous.
  • The Kleine Rechnung will not be abolished. However, a "heresy tax" will be imposed on those of the lesser faiths, which together calls for 1% of all annual earnings. Furthermore, the White Order shall establish various Inquisitions inside the Empire, to take note of those who have signed the Professons of Mellenar, as to prevent a false proclamation of the true faith to avoid said tax. The Crown believes that the Kleine Rechnung is not the end, but simply the beginning of a conversion. Those that don't continue to turn towards the true path are heretics, and thus they must submit to Unionism.
  • Criminals who have been convicted multiple times for severe state offenses will be forcefully conscripted into the armed services, where they will spend 5 years defending the Empire from any aggressors. Failure to comply will be met with execution and a seizing of any assests of the family. In the case of marriage, the amount seized shall be one half all assets, with an extra 5 percent for each child conceived in wedlock. The Crown does not aim to punish the families of those who have lost their way, but instead to use this punishment to turn them back to the righteous path.

That last one seems a tad hypocritical, Fjola.
 
By supreme order of His Highness, Emperor Gideon the First, the following rights and privledges are hereby suspended until further notice:

-Immunity from arrest, indefinitely suspended

-Trial by jury, indefinitely suspended

-Right to legal council, indefinitely suspended



In addition, the following laws and punisuments are amended for the convenience of the modern Regalian.


-The Unionist Church is hereby banned from any and all government control or positions, and the church shall be annually taxed 25% of their income

-The Regalian guard is to be hereby disbanded and marshal law declared over Regalia as the Regalian Army assumes full control over the city. All standing soldiers have permission to quarter themselves in the houses of the Regalian people, including noble estates. They will have the ability to conduct random searches of all homes on the crown isle and detain any citizen for questioning

-the folly concept of dividing citizendship among races is to be amended, hereby granting all citizens currently living on Regalian soil equal rights to all Ailor citizens

-Any man, woman, or sentient found to have harmed their fellow citizens upon grounds of race, religion, or gender is to have all their earthly possessions seized and thejr own rights as humanum indefinately suspended

-The current death sentence of beheading does not seem to be sufficient enough to deter lawbreakers, and the sentence of beheading is far to painless to make a proper example. As such, all criminals sentenced to death will be publically hung by the neck until dead, and their bodies gibeted from the tavern tree.

-Any Noble found of committing any form of crime, corruption, or treasonous action will be stripped of all titles, lands, currency, and possessions and shall be promptly deposited within the sewer entrance

-Anyone found associating with the line of Kade, attemping to resotore the line of Kade, sympathizing with the line of Kade, or belonging to the false line of Kade will be publically hung by the neck until dead

-Any guard or soldier found to be mistreating a member of the populace on any grounds, abusing their position, acting outside the law, or refusing to act in the interest of the law will be punished with 500 lashes and a dishonorable discharge

By word of the holy Rebecca Celyreos, who's word is now law, the following laws are to take action immediately.

1. (Homosexual Equality act.) All homosexual relationships are now allowed, but only for those granted the status of Human. Homosexual love in public is now allowed, and any homophobic speech against a couple or in public, is to be arrested for public disturbance. Homosexual marriage is not allowed without a legal offspring, or decree by the Empress. On a probably unrelated note, Darcie Vauclain, will be risen to High Lady, on the conditions she seperates from the Vauclain family. (@WalnutNinja )

2. (Faithfulness act.) Every unfaithful affairs in the noble realm, will face said noble being disowned from the family and publicly shamed, if said family wishes to keep their land and by extention, titles. If the affair is of a noble with a title, it will be given to a family member the Empress sees fit, and the former title bearer will be publicly shamed. If between two nobles, the rules apply only to the man. If between two of the same sexes, punishments fall on both parties.

3. (The Proper act.) A courting law for nobility is to be followed. In presence of family, two people to be courting eachother will sit three meters apart on the same side of the table. If the seat would fail to meet this, they are to sit on opposite ends of said table. Courting is now legal between two nobled between the same sex, following the Homosexual equality act. The two courting must also not even hold hands until a proper marriage day is in place.


Grants:
Matron Fjola is hereby granted the right of cannibalism, and murder, as long as the Empress sees it fit. She is to be moved in the palace to be under a proper watchful eye, and will sleep in the Empress' room, within as comfortable as possible restraints for the Empress' safety. (@VanCeryneia )

The Kraus family is now allowed a county for the new patriarch, Niko Kraus. This county is to be seized at Niko Kraus' death, regardless of any claims given. This is to insure no corruption comes to the family, and spoils the name.
