• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

Please update the plugin. I don't know much about coding, but I feel that all the words are already programmed since you can see them with /magic word list. Please just release the words. There does not have to be some grand event... maybe make spell tomes obtainable through voting? Make more signs? Do something is all I am asking. The plugin has been stale for quite a while now.

There are plans for the Magic plugin to be more fully released but at the moment there are other projects that have taken priority.

I would like to see MassiveMagic play a bigger role in Massive, but there are far bigger problems that must be solved. Massive is at one of it's most important stages of it's life, the rejuvenation of factions. As Enkiduu said, there are countless other projects that have taken priority over MassiveMagic. We need a working and lively community. Without a community, there will be no MassiveMagic.

I can assure you that the plugin will be updated in the future, I have faith in the developers but for now, there is far more important stuff on the staff team's plate.

Still doesn't change that the plugin is shit
MassiveMagic just needs work. It might be mostly useless now but it can be improved, and probably will be over time.

My biggest wants would be more utility spells like "Sky Bridge" that makes a glass bridge that will stay in place for five minutes with an 8 min cool down, to help people build. Random useful tidbits. And more expansion on the Crafting system to make it more useful for people. Custom tools with little effects, like a pick that mines out a few blocks at a time at once etc.

The foundation is in place, it just needs to be smoothed out and built on.

I agree, massive magic might need some work but I loved it before it was taken down, if you have a problem with it than don't use it. I didn't think it was OP or anything.

Use your imagination. Wave sticks and chuck snowballs. Legit no point of adding it when you rp. Regalia is already laggy enough. Dont need no grand wizard of the weeb lands to breathe down my neck and scream some hocus pocus.

I wish magic had some applicability but tbh i can't think of an implementation of magic where it wouldn't be dummy op

It had some great uses if you got creative, even with just a fraction of the words released you could do useful shit like use the push spell for elytra take off or building, and just shit like snowball ignite was fun to mess around with friends with. Massivemagic had a lot of potential as utility/entertainment other than just pure op gamer strats.

II just realized this thread is a year old, and while the necro had merit, at the end of the day the plugin is gone and probably won't come back.

It was a powerful plugin with lots of potential, but the server needs made it more of a gimmick that what it could be. Doubtful anything has changed regarding such.

It was a huge waste of time and did little to proactively help the server
