MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.
Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.
Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.
I think he means all of the above, using Raised roads, gravel paths, trade routes (beefed up gravel paths hahaha), Airships, sailing ship, the more realistic the connections look, all the better... I forgot the most Dwarven of paths ... the underground Trade routes. When you say link our cities, do you mean with giant trade ships or air ships or gravel or dirt paths?
could work well with our underground ruin theme
I have that already
Well, we would have to seal a faction contract if we were to invite factions to this mega-settlement or empire or whatever.
While it is a good idea, someone could turn there back on the idea and start attacking friends for the point of "fun" or maybe there could be a fall out in non fac relations so we would have to find a way to stop any of the places who live next to each other from killing each other unless there is a responded request for a war (PvP/RP/etc). We would also need a way to punish faction members who break these rules, maybe enforced tax, town occupation, lose of resources.
It would be best to think a lot of things through if this becomes a real plan
Hmm, if each settlement was walled that could help, we could even set up a sort of neutral zone in the middle or something between our protected facs.But having a serial murderer could be fun, as long as they dont try to kill me hahaha, but to be serious, the war thing isn't uncommon, it's just normal, to at least try to prevent it, you'd have to have people specialized in diplomacy (both good at it OOC and ICly and they would have to enjoy it) and punishments could be handled by their home factions rules, of course some things would have to be rules universally, like;
1: Murdering those who do not wish to participate in PvP is an offence punishable by barring passage to the faction you committed your crime in, and if done in your home city it is up to how that faction deems it.
2: Stealing can result in full ban from all factions in the alliance, to as little as "a slap on the wrist, and give the stuff back" depending on what is stolen, if its things like your average materials, who cares. I'd say a common one would be Taxation on thiefs.
3: If you have permission to build, Greifing is based on the level of greif, if it's a block or two, thats not a big deal (I occasionaly have to break stuff to escape when trapped, so that's understandable, just put it back how you found it), but defacing, TNT, and lava greifing is very serious, especialy the TNT and lava. These last two are definatley immediate removal, with just the stuff in your inventory, unless your stealing too, then you may be "Executed" to reclaim these items ... and left with absolutely nothing.
something like that?
Starting to sound like my Friend on the first Server I was an admin on, he was kind, but kept his Faction in line, no murder, thieft or greifing XD
Walls can be a little bit... ugly first and now they don't work, pvpers and raids can use rocket elytra to climb them now so.Hmm, if each settlement was walled that could help, we could even set up a sort of neutral zone in the middle or something between our protected facs.
Well, G G me!Walls can be a little bit... ugly first and now they don't work, pvpers and raids can use rocket elytra to climb them now so.
that is what I saidI like this idea. But when things go south and you're stuck with an ex ally turned enemy, probably won't be the best.
Sounds like fun to me!
Tbh I think that'd make it more interesting.I like this idea. But when things go south and you're stuck with an ex ally turned enemy, probably won't be the best.
Just like real life!
Contracts are not a bad idea, but need people to enforce it of course, and people to try and keep good relations, and remind others, the actions of a single individual are not always the will of the whole factionWe would probably have to sign contracts to ally (so we just don't end up with war/unallying once we feel like it or get upset. Within allying each other we would have to set our perms so we could use claim near.
Yeah I agree, maybe (also like in real life) we can all work together to enforce each other. Form some sort of council, an organization to keep us all in place with one representative from each faction.
Dont worry, we have @Devoruku here and his mastery in aerial combat to aid usI forgot this was a thing. Now I've lost all desire to do anything.
