  • Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

Inquisitions have always existed within our city. Such is life. Heretics and Jacobins must be punished. Incompetence must be punished as well.

On The Topic Of The Inquisition

I write this with a heavy heart, for this inquisition had been promising, at first. Fine individuals such as Wilheim of Koln were present, and he still remains one of the few men who I actively trust in the Order. However, if this current path keeps up, I do not believe this Inquisition will last for long, or will end up one of the worst remembered, to date, for their incompetence and malicious acts.

Such Acts Include:
  • Not only actively sowing unrest, but the failure to put down the resulting riot, and beating a hasty retreat to the Stronghold, and making the Arcanum Order clean up the mess.
  • Waterboarding and torturing a Unionist, Ailor, Pavise who had been involuntarily dread bound, before removing the curse.
  • Active misuse of Puretek, such as firing the holy weapons at random civilians at the Nook and Cranny during a drunken fit.
  • Actively attempting to force false confessions out of prisoners, in an attempt to slander other Guard Commanders and remove them from their office.
  • Beating, torturing, and chaining a first civil status citizen for accidentally dropping a candle, and starting a small fire, which caused minimal damage after being put out.
  • Hiring a 'Grand Arcanist' who has ruined samples from the rift, and actively seeks to cure Url of their beastly state, stating their disregard for the tensions that will ensue between the State and the Gemina Order.
  • Performing an act condemned by close to half the churches of The Conclave as heresy, which was the recital of a sacrament of rejection by someone who was neither a Reverend or other man of Holy Cloth.
  • Degrading the legal definition of 'heretic' by calling anybody who opposes them legally, rather than morally, such.
  • Intentionally escalating conflicts and tensions between Guard Charters.
  • Attempting to move aberrant prisoners to the Stronghold, which holds no purestone to contain their abilities, rather than Greygate.
  • Actively threatening first civil status citizens for minor infractions.
  • Willingly entering a place of business and destroying property without due reason.
  • General disrespect of the Public.
  • General disrespect of the Men of Holy Cloth.
  • Telling a Reverend to be 'silent.'

However, the Inquisition is salvageable, if they cease these current activities and make an immediate change to their plotted course of action to achieve their goals. In addition, they have not been aided by the men and women of Oldtown, who have committed their own infractions which will lead to higher scrutiny from other Guard Charters.

On the Topic Of Oldtown
Oldtown has, traditionally, been a hotbed of crime and degeneracy, due to the inherent nature of their living conditions and a lack of Guard Charters acting, or being able to act in the past. However, Oldtown has increasingly been growing rowdy, with a rise of less than favorable actions.

Such Acts Include:
  • Actively criticizing and purposefully undermining the activities of Guard Charters, and transversely, the state.
  • Active calls to rebellion against the Inquisition.
  • Active calls to rebellion in general.
  • Support of Kathar and their Void Tainted Allies.
  • Heresy of large magnitudes, such as Void Worship and sympathizing with vampires and werebeasts.
  • Regularly hosting nuisances, and encouraging their behavior.
  • Generally being degenerates.
  • Regularly giving hard times to Guards, which is not so much an infraction, but more so being rude and generally not smiled upon.

Any who perform these acts, will be sought out, and punished accordingly, for the laws they break. Squabbling children will be disciplined until they either stop acting up, or cannot act up due to the restraints and punishments applied. This is a warning. To both parties. Heed it.

"During a time of unrest and an ongoing crisis within the city, we have to put up with the actions of zealots that stand behind chaining women to sinks and threaten to 'normalize' the ears of first civil status citizen." A particular Altalar idly commented to an Admiral that sat before her as he'd read the parchment out for her to hear.

William Alexander had begun to look at the notice as he was walking around the streets in thought, in which he'd snarl. "This /Admiral/ dares say such about the Holy Divine Inquisition? Disgusting. His words mean little at this point, only the words of a snake that clearly doesn't understand anything." The Curate decided to take a copy of the notice and move it to the Stronghold, for all the other Inquisitors to see.

After reading the notice, the Grand Commander William Howlester left Greygate prison to call a rally outside of the Golden Willow. All those present would hear the following speech:

"May I be the first to say that anyone who foolishly backs this Inquisition purely on the merits that it is an Inquisition is deluding themselves. Since the first inception of the Crimson Inquisition almost nine years ago, each iteration has fallen under corruption charges or some form of misuse of power. The word "Inquisition" has lost all meaning at this point. They are a Guard Charter enforcing State Law. Anything more than that and outside the scope of their /Government/ issued authority is an abuse of power. I remain, stalwartly, a Unionist in service to the Great Way, but my time in the Regalian Capital has shown me clearly that even those who proclaim themselves Holy are prone to falling victim to the grips of power and authority. I pray that will not be the case with this Charter. I have faith that they will do their duty despite recent accusations."

He paused, inhaling before blurting the following:

"However! I must stress the importance of unity of Unionists in this trying time. We as followers of the faith must guide our brothers and sisters back on the right path when it is believed they have erred. The Old Guard stands ready to hear accusations of corruption against /any/ charter within the Regalian Crown Isle, including itself with the Guard Invigilator or Investigator, I cannot recall the title, present in the moment. This was a task we intend and have intended to perform since the inception of this charter. The successful, fluid and untainted functioning of the Regalian Government, Nobility and bureaucracy is of paramount importance. My office and that of Rodrigo Peirgarten is open to such complaints any time. Reiterating however, allow this newly established charter to prove the accusations against it wrong and on flimsy footing. Time will tell if they will broker a new path for this dying breed of law enforcement or if it will fall like all other instances before it. Rest assured that if such allegations ring true, the Old Guard and Regalian Government will act.

Oratario Ode. Be safe and vigilant."

With that, he made his departure with his Old Guard retinue.

Fen'nan's lips curled upwards, sitting on the edge of her bed, copy in hand. Her smug smirk lingered despite the tired features, as if she hadn't slept a wink at all the night before. "Look how big the Inquisition's list is compared to mine," she drawled aloud before tossing it aside and falling back into the bed.

A Kathar lady, Solluether, after reading the seventh bullet of actions of the Inquistion took the paper and showed it to a dear friend, Shalia, "<K-E> This seventh bullet seems all too familiar, almost as if it happened to me."

Shadow
The Shadow read the announcement in silence. Before commenting.
"So, will they finally be doing something about the Inquisition and shut them down? This is a relief...but, the second part. Still bothers me..."

Altalar
The Altalar read over the announcement as she drank a bit of her tea.
"Well, I guess im breaking the law. Oh, well."
She gave no further comment. Just enjoying her tea in peace.

Varren
The Varren read over the announcement
"What's the worst they can do? Just cure me and throw me back out?"

Yanar
Alexa looked over the words, nodding slowly.
"Things have fallen apart so quickly..Its a shame. I thought Theopold would be better than this. And what of Keen, Alexander, Oakenforge? What of the others? Are they all guilty of this?"
The Yanar looked off into space. Many questions rested on her mind. Letting out a low sigh before walking away.

Shalia took the paper And looked it over while seated on her nice comfortable throne. A light smirk formed across her face while inclining her head back. <K-E>"soon it will be time for the show to start my dear friend... do not worry about it...for all shall pay the price" crumbled up the paper after, handing it back.

Wulf would look over the poster, stroking his beard "Plot is thickening. Either other guard chapters will step in to take down inquisition, inquisition will calm down or this will end with riots. I hope for riots. Atleast it will be fun"

The Hochmeister reads the paper with a squint, getting to the first few sentences before stopping; putting down the report and walking off.
"Ave, I'm a righteous man! I'm the finest 'Wilheim of Koln' around!"

A snow elf sat solemn in one of Greygate's noble cells, plucking specific cards from the Tarot spread in front of her. She perked up, however, to stare at a slip of paper slid under the door by her fellow frostling. One of the many copies of the parchment which were scattered around the city.

Tiray snatched it from the ground, lurching over her tarot spread to read it with the minimal light the cell-door offered. Gradually, a smug, amused smile spread across her features.

"Abel makes a point," she chimed, folding the parchment. "I'm entirely certain that every- competent- man, Commander and Government official that reads this will agree, and I'm even more confident that the Inquisition will fail to correct their actions. Holy men, when corrupted, are stubborn and unwise. They'll be disbanded in no time, and a new one will take it's place- so the cycle goes."

A Url grins at the notice "So the Scholar has a name hopefully they shall see her stupidity as we do. Mocking perfection and disregarding the thoughts of other counsels is both blasphemy against Julla and a slight to Basthur. May she receive what she is owed"

An old Dwarf pondered the report. Whilst the Inquisition's list may have been longer, he could not forgive the more troubling mentions of Void Worship and Kathar-enabling.

"It appears, I must say, that the Unionists are the lesser of two evils in this case." he would remark to himself.
