• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

I agree with Boogjangels opinion, there is no longer a combined community. There is role players and survivalist and a player who attempts to do both often has a hard time joining the other due to players "keeping to their own" or thats just how I've seen it. As a player who was around even for a small amount of time during massive's golden days I saw a united community, factions were very different than they are now and only a small percentage of the player base hung out in regalia 24/7. Factions back then had backstories, rp reasons for wars, lore for their faction, and they had active members who cared about the faction. people used to strive to create their own space and small kingdom so they could do what they wished. I remember when you could walk through wilderness and find random players enjoying their time, I once met a player named privateaj11 who had a small house and shop off a fendarfell road xD (we had many many adventures before he disapeared out of no where) but the point is everyone moved away from the factions universe and now we are left with maybe 14 players at a time AT MOST in a world that took months to create by the staff. while collectively there may be 50ish (pushing it) players in factions there will be 150+ in regalia and its as if both communities shun eachother. It makes me sick to see how each side treats each other, and how different THEY make themselves From one another.

My idea for a solution
Ive have a few ideas for a solution to this problem for quite awhile. I think since everyone actively refers to the factions world as "The factions universe" you should treat as you call it and allow faction players to gather and write a record of all that has transpired in the past 5ish years up till now, reaccounting things like algaron and the wars between alamut and Invictus, the undead war by mag, chronikatr and valyria, mithril okyno, ninthlegion, and so many other factions have been so great and now their forgotten. I believe if you let "Survivalists" as you call them, to create their own world it would attract many other players to the factions worlds and promote a united massive once more.

Why I think It'll work

I know from experience that it will work, as a player I may appear to be solely a pvper due to my previous factions I've led such as Wrath. there was a period when I had Gloomsreach, that I promoted inter faction role play and it attracted many players and we had successful role play sessions. Most of the players in these sessions normally only stayed in regalia and I witnessed a glimmer of the old ways of massive.

Don't really now how to end this and didn't have time to edit it, so here it is raw :)

Why did you make an entire new thread instead of just commenting on his post?

Yeah honestly it wouldn't even have to affect the current lore, personally I think it would be cool to even just have a section on the forums just to write about wars, and factions that have risen to power and fallen, just some way that the factions won't be forgotten

I've tried this multiple times before and failed but that's probably because I'm lazy. But I'd LOVE to help with this! @Herecy

Wish I saw more PvPers come to the public Q&A yesterday you would have heard about the possibility of faction lore canonization as well as several other huge changes. I find this thread rather unhelpful or contributing to the current topic. This conversation should be held in the current location of discussion.

Well I would've attended if I wasn't banned so xD and I really do intend to push for a change on the server to revive factions

I check the forms just about everyday, and maybe it slipped past me, but was the Q&A announced anywhere in advance beyond in game or in a random comment on another thread? I wouldn't had been able to attend, due to my job, but had I been available at the time and made aware that this was ongoing, I would have attended.

Can a forum post be made summarizing what was discussed at the Q&A and future ones? Can the audio possibly be recorded at the next one and uploaded for people that can't make it?

I could give a synopsis but it was over 2 and a half hours.
