❮CURAE I - Writ of Sin❯

It is with great sorrow and disappointment that a mere few days ago we the Synod heard word of shameful acts committed by a titled nobleman of our Holy City. One trusted to uphold the duty and privilege of nobility by the Spirit and he spits upon this gift with his unlawful acts of heresy. Therefore, the Synod has found it fit to issue a Writ of Sin upon this man for his crimes which are as follows:

  • Sending letters to both Lady Noëlle Peirgarten and Lady Dagna von Rahm, in which attempting to lure these two noble women into the sinful act of fornication with him.
  • Entering both the Teahaus and the Azure Premise armed with an Anglian Longbow, being accused of attempted manslaughter against any member of House Peirgarten, then travelling to the Azure Premise to find Lady Dagna von Rahm.

These acts especially from a titled nobleman shall not be tolerated. We there in hereby excommunicate Baron Longsae as one punishment for his grave actions. Baron Longsae shall also report to the Inquisition for re-education and a date for his Walk of Atonement shall be decided. Let it be known that such acts of heresy will not be ignored and that the Synod shall punish such with the full extent of our power. However, there is room for forgiveness, though before such can be offered there is a long trail ahead for Baron Longsae and any others who have committed heresy.

Remain faithful. Spirit bless, protect, and guide you all upon the Great Way. Neben Mir.

Rodrigo Peirgarten slowly raises a goblet of wine to his lips in salutation and utmost respect for the blessed Synod.

The young Anglian peered over the written announcement with an expression that could only be described as utter disgust, her brows crinkling into a frown, her upper lip curling into a sneer. She exhaled a tense breath before discarding it to the side, the parchment crumpling into the mess of her desk. She thought aloud to herself, as she often did, tracing along the outline of her lower lip.

"Shameful.. truly shameful. Spirit guide that man, he truly needs to reflect on his actions. I pray that no other woman should have to suffer his.. 'advances'. "

The Longsae who was accused would scoff and sigh at the accusations. "That's a /surprise/ is it not..." going to show the writ to a few others and say. "Did I not tell you they made shit up? Ill clear my name eventually... How the Void do they expect me to walk? They broke my legs in their 'education'."

Franco's gaze traveled to the pitcher of ale across the room after this all had been finalized, he glanced to the other Men of Cloth that sat in the conclave, finishing up their work for the evening before moving to stand and walk over to the idle pitcher that might've sat there for centuries, and had been there since the Dressolini's introduction into the Regalian Synod. He took the pitcher in his hand, pouring himself a dusty cup of ale as his eyes traversed around the room briefly before mumbling out "Whoreson of a Baron." and then raising the glass cup to his lips, and set the cup back to the table before walking back to his seat.

A certain Anglian read over the announcement, scowling as she finished.

"Cocky man with no leash on his hormones."

Slaps his hands on his dinner table, ordering his scribes to go and send the letters he's been waiting to send to his men. He goes to seek out his little daughter, Esther, who had been rummaging around in his drawers, picking her up he bellows, 'Praise be the Spirit, you will be safe on the streets!'

Later that night he would begin drafting the announcement for the Walks of Atonement that would be going on in the near future.

The elder Drache blinked, reflecting on the notice in disbelief and distasteful reflection. "Excommunication for being a pervert and trying to kill someone, I walk these bloody streets every day and see worse. I pray this isn't a complete representation of the Synod."

Sophia rested on the boroque chaise longue, gently leaning her head back as she looked out on the streets below. A pile of letters and important information sat on a small table next to her. Just as she reached out for them, a servant entered and added one on top.

Reluctantly she let out a small moan, yet took the letter that was just placed down, scanning the document.

It only took a few moments before she tossed the letter aside and sighed.
'And with every writ they produce, they write something further from the truth.'

She dragged herself out of her comfortable seat and moved over to the fireplace, to pour herself a nice glass of wine, her eyes turning back to the papers on the side table.

'Oh mon dieu- J'ai trop de boulot cet après-midi.'

She spoke to herself in the empty room, before seating herself and beginning to catch up on the work that had piled up during the time she had been gone, her eyes casually glancing to the portrait of the former Ithanian Sovreign, still proudly displayed in her working chambers.
