• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

So I'm working on this castle i plan on to be the centerpiece of my faction. It's meant to be a Gothic castle for a vampire coven and I was having trouble figuring out how to add color to it and make a better pallet while keeping a Gothic feel. What would you guys recommend? 2018-07-27_23.57.06.png 2018-07-27_23.57.12.png

Hmn... A few things for color could probably be banners or stained glass? Maybe even adding a few odd ball planter boxes on some windows with dark flowers/dead bushes?

Teach me how to build blz

I really love how you did those curved corners, those have always been a weakness for me. I can see why you want color, though. While it is a good build, it needs zest! I always liked using fountains, and since this is vampire-focused, try maybe using some dragon busts/statues made from netherbricks and add some custom trees as well. Here's some screenshots of a vampire/dragon castle I was working on:

I admit I used some youtube videos and pictures for inspiration of the dragon busts, but I can link those if you want! If you are considering doing some roofs for hallways, I would recommend netherbrick or spruce/dark oak. But definitely add some greenery (or some dead trees with cobwebs or even mushrooms if that's possible). Banners would look nice, along with fire brazers (these would be awesome to include). Here's a lantern I built and used to hang around my place:

So by adding some lanterns lighting up a path rounding around the structure with some hedges along with some fountains (water or lava), you could potentially make it all really pop!

P.S. If this is going in Essalonia, I highly recommend a dungeon/sewage access point into the sewers somewhere in or around the build. The Essalonia Collective thread on the forums are organizing roads between factions, with maybe sewers being added underneath all across the map for vampires/slum roleplay.

Very nice castle. I'll suggest the same as Ailethi did. Build some banners or add stained glass. You could also texture the castle with different blocks, for example use moss blocks somewhere and then cracked bricks etc. Give it a shot and good luck!

Try to incorporate a color palette of stone and not just an accessory color. Mix it up with some andesite or polish that shhit up and throw it in the bottom of the build to act as a supporting layer.
