• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

Read the title of this thread to see what it is about.
I got mine from RP face to face with my friends and I would make up "NPC"s and now I use those "NPC"s as my RP characters
Where did you get the idea for yours?

my flaws
not kidding.

Alyona ==> Irresponcibility
Daniel ==> Forgetfulness
Dior ==> Loud internal rage noises.
And Asriyah's an Asriyah.

Edit: *Waits for Goth rate noises*

Rose Tueur: I don't know really where the idea came from to make a sociopath who deals opium around in the poor district. Probably after I went on a binge of Breaking Bad to catch up to everyone else when it was still on. I also vaguely remembered that I wanted a character to counteract my other shy elven char (Dakota for those of you who met her while she was alive), and so I took it a bit extreme when making that choice.
Eyrnel Dumont: I felt like my roleplaying experience didn't have a purpose if I didn't have another female blonde haired elf after I killed off my other one do to lore incompliancy. I made Eyrnel with the intent of her being a richer character than my other characters past, as I had only experience with roleplaying characters that were literally poor as dirt. In an effort to make my character pool more diverse, I also made Eyrnel a tattoo artist as well just like @Eliza_Nightly's Naushe Kearney at the time. Eyrnel was my biggest attempt at trying something new at the time, and I wouldn't be coming up to random people at first if I hadn't made that effort to be more noticeable with her.
Malik Al-Hasan: With him being my newest character, I actually remember why I made him. Eyrnel was supposed to be the noble-esque character while Rose would be the street ram hoodlum running around and dealing out the opium. Unfortunately for Eyrnel, I created her just days before the qadir invasion, and now needed a new character who could actually be a noble if I tried. I took inspiration off of @Duskembyr's character Yasamine Al-Raya, and made a male version of it who traded slaves. Malik was also a last ditch attempt to break out of my shyness while roleplaying, and has worked so far with the random people I come up to in the tavern.

Tim: the inner pits of my soul, my alter ego.

Chip: I wanted a character to continue the legacy of the Wenshees, and this bore the child named Chip.

Aethris: An old character I wanted to bring back, nearly got into the guard once.

Nathan: I originally made him Bill Cipher-y but that was stupid so he's a scholar with a sorta identic memory.

Ta'bitha Ariu: I wanted to make a petty thief character, so I decided to give her a tiny bit of a tragic past. Then I went COMPLETELY overboard with the tragic part and it somehow worked out very well. I really do enjoy playing lower-class characters, actually. Ta'bitha's personality really did benefit from @templar112 helping to make it less one-sided. Character development FTW.

Yasamine Al-Raya: I made Yazzy before the Qadir invasion. Her outward personality was based loosely off of Rosalia from SAO Abridged. Her backstory and "true" personality was basically meant to be an upper-class version of Ta'bitha's, but it ended up being very different. Yasamine is my first wealthy sort of character, but I still adore Ta'bitha.

Lanaskan Shadowaika- I made him from basically the first day on the server, naming him after just randomly tapping on the keys and then editing it into a better sounding last and first name. His character and personality is based off of me and the normal Slizar traits.

Yung-Li Galasta- I made her cause I was an idiot and wanted an assassin character. She's being shelved for a bit but her name was randomly chosen and her personality became more based on Fish Mooney from the Gotham TV show (love that show).

John Sasindota- While he is now permenantly shelved, I wanted at the time a slightly more normal character and I used him to run a bakery. His name was a combo of a common name and DOTA with a random surname beginning, which my brother was playing downstairs while I was making the app and such.

Leugel Viduggla- Translated "wonder owl" into Swedish to make the last name and I believe his first name is a shortened version of something else but I'm not exactly sure what.

Philip Black- Joined a noble family, name already existed.

Ludwig Fuchs: One day, I felt like basing a character off myself. His personality, culture (because Regalian=German), his choice of decisions, his fighting style, even his appearance. Ludwig's character application is to 80-90% or so actually a character application of my IRL self. He's also my oldest character (created him during February of 2014 to have a secondary character. He was supposed to be temporary and only to test what it'd be like roleplaying as myself. Never thought he'd turn into what he is today).
"Chalden" Orvirr: Shortly before I came to Massive, I played SWTOR for a long while, my main character being a Cathar smuggler/rogue healer. Chalden was created by the IG character name creator. I decided to pull him into Massive as a Tigran (because Cathar are basically the Tigrans of Star Wars). Chalden from Massive is now very different from the Chalden I had in SWTOR, but ohwell.
Shin Sanjuro: I wanted to have a character that has attributes none of my previous characters had: Intelligent, horribly corrupt and egoistic, perverted, a mage. And because I'm totally a weeaboo, I made him a Ch'ien-Ji.

Kreen: Idk I wanted to make something cute, Then it hit me that man eating sewer maiar are cute.
Rup: I actually don't know.
Beth: Back in early 2013 I was going through a stage where I was really depressed and angry with my family for personal reasons, but I had no where to vent this pent up depression and rage. I decided that Fire meant rage and that purple was depression, Hence why her fire magic is purple. I intended her to be a violent character, but after about a week she lost the violence and turned rude. her hate of children comes from my hate of children.
Spish: After a while people were starting to complain to me ooc about how all my characters are either too serious or rude. It was then I decided to make a Childish healer. And as you all know I keep changing her looks lol.
Ech: I wanted to be a slave, so I made Ech (Ech means spine in Elvish apparently). It was not even five minutes after I started playing him that he got enslaved.
Ai': Some people know why I made Ai', and I'm sure all the others don't want to. :}

Well my original MC username was otakugirl1279, and I haven't actually played Minecraft since version 1.5.2. My biggest two discoveries thus far have been the addition of the blessed sprint key and the name change which I promptly used to rename to what is probably the last not taken variation of my favorite anime charrie, Nanami Momozono, from the series Kamisama Hajimemashita (though as far as anime crushes go, Tomoe is a favorite too because he's just too hot <3 ).

I found this server today when I was curious to see if there was a roleplaying server that DIDN'T focus on the PVP/raiding element of factions or most Minecraft servers today (not an easy task on the main Minecraft servers list as all that show up are the "same old same olds." Anywho, I'm RPing a heavily modified Nanami with a different last name that reflects my own personality and brand of compassion. Well, the appearance is the same for simplicity's sake, but the backstory, surname and charrie goals are different and that's good enough for me. I hope you people think so too in my peer review. :)

((Really the only reason I even registered on this server/forum is because of your policies on raiding which are the lightest I can find. I hate Minecraft PVP with a passion. I've tried it, I'm terrible at it, end of story. :/ ))

Duval Paloin:
I needed a character to run my bank and so created Duval Paloin (Mr. Paloin originally). He's based on Mr. Krabs from Spongebob, but with the "old man & hero of his own story" up to 11 (in his 80s, has had quite the adventure not dying sooner).
In case you hadn't realized, he was a banker. He's currently an angry drunk who gets nothing done, which is roughly accurate with the amount of stuff I do on Massive these days.
Sarro Auber:
I needed a character to explain how I was able to be so active across worlds, since Duval ain't exactly getting around. So thusly came Sarro, a cowardly cat-lover and fish eater based off of my own personality combined with Happy from Fairy Tail.
He's a nomadic coward who likes fish and can be anywhere, anywhen. Great for being a mailman.
Alibaha Malikamel:
Based off of Alibaba from "Magi: A Labyrinth of Magic", Alibaha was created because I like Qadir. Also to be my Docktown character.
He's a pirate (lord) who worships the Gods of Ramel (Docktown specific gods) and has an unexplained dislike of slavery, which is weird since he's a pirate AND a Qadir.
Magnus & Makoto Hirijimi:
Idea'd from Sweden & Sister Sweden (Scandinavia & the World) in that they are twins who are almost opposites but still have a number of key similarities (besides appearance). Magnus is also loosely based on Styl from A Certain Magical Index, while Makoto is based on Mikoto from the same series - power & personality, respectively.
Magnus = Bookworm Fire Mage & Sometimes Assassin, Makoto = Bruiser, Bravo, Brawler, Drunkard & Skilled Swordswoman - may or may not be a mage.

None of these guys have approved character pages (because obnoxiously complex demands) so yeah, no links for you!

Kalti:

The Thylan race had just been created, what, a year ago? Almost a year ago. I decided I would be the very first Thylan character, so I made one, and here I am. Based slightly off myself (egotistical).

And, sadly, this along with... hmm, maybe 3 other Thylans, are approved. I'm disappointed. The rest are just people who think Thylans are literally dogs.

Elitha/Brenna: Oooooh boy. She was my real first roleplay character and I literally made her up on the spot. I heard people talking about maiars (this was a while ago, before lore was really, really fleshed out) and thought being a mermaid-lady would be wicked awesome. Realised a few days later it wasn't gonna work and made her an elf instead.

Jaheeeeem: During the start of the year with the Qadir all around I thought a Qadir war character would be pretty dang wicked too. I made sooo many ideas for one and eventually set on this really cool contortionist guy.

Well, Bone, you know what all of my characters are like already, but here's how they came to be-

Kagrenak Thenuius- He was just my first character that I randomly made the week I joined Massive. Later, I realized that, hey, he was a lot like me. He is kind, but easy to hold grudges. He's sensitive, but tries to hide it around people he doesn't know. He's masculine and strong, but in a way, not so much. He's a mishmash of my personal traits and very paladin like aspects. So, most first characters for you.

Karkinos Phagoth- Originally, he was an idea for some sort of alter ego for Kagrenak. But, ended up being a Yanar instead of a Naylar. He is the more quiet side of me. The side that only comes out when I've been isolating myself for long periods, or just had something bland or boring to talk about. But, with this, he's very smart, so, again, I tried to add in some more of my traits. He began to love plants, and knows Evergrowth, tries to get high up in the ranks, but falls a bit short every time he does.

J'iuso Frin'jel- A recently made Qadir character. To be honest, I made him so that I could perform magic in Regalia legally. He is the side of me that I want to act like most of the time. Since I try my best to appear really calm and in control in real life, I sometimes want to just go out of control. That out of control is him. He's really hyper and acrobatic, insane, nosy, and really annoying for some people. But he's really handsome, with long curly silver hair and a perfectly white toothy smile. He's the rogue of my characters.

In summary, Karkinos and J'iuso are the two different sides of me, and Kagrenak is the side that keeps balance in a way. He's also a mishmash, an ambrovert. (If you don't know what that is, it's the mix of an introvert and extrovert) Really mixed up and weird, but I like the colorful pallet that I created with my characters. There's a fourth one, but he's shelved for a bit. He's just Kagrenak's brother.

Weelll, I'll just pick a few, ehe.

Raendir Solcphen-
[And no I didn't realise at the time his name sounded like Reindeer and his last name is root. Reindeer Root.]
The new lore came out for Yanar so I readopted one as my main character as they were finally set in stone. He was originally just an antlered side character which was a male identifying Seedling that looked female as I thought that sounded kinda funny and cute. Though, soon I decided to shamelessly make him an Evergrowth and open his family to further RP with him. [Also because Evergrowth is pretty awesome fyi] >.<

Llewellyn Aeglossiil- @Theboomyfly
When I was contemplating joining Valor', Boomy sorta suggested that I make an Isldar for the place. Instead she ended up as my main char in Regalia, fully fleshed out with a character application. She /was/ kinda 124 and a mage too, until the Qadir drove her back home to Ellador for shelving. Dang Qadir.

Xiiltharra Elaeydar-
I needed a normal-ish character and so I made Xi. She came from the fact that I wanted to project some of my own personality into a character too, rude and slightly emotionally detached. Along with this, I also wanted a martial art for her, adopting a similar thing to krav maga.

The first char I ever had ...
[I can't actually remember their name, kay. Probably nooby.]
So, when I first came I thought Dakkar/Agni sounded neat and played one so I could hang about by that really random rift opening and swim in lava, that I still don't get, to look cool. Yeah. She basically was made just as Agni were being changed, and ended up as some horridly skinned woman with hair that looked like lava. Don't judge kay. Inspiration mostly came from me mashing lots of fire-related stuff together with lore incompliancey, all waaaay back in 2013.

N'omiel M'triche: Originally made as a joke, N'omiel's name is based off of joke lore that @Feyona wrote about a "Nommian Matriarch". I took the name and Q'urebo-fied it, then wound up actually fleshing out the character because I fell in love with her personality. To add to the joke, I based all of her family members' names off of types of cookies such as Biscotti (B'scotte) and Apas (A'pas).
Mortimer Faye: Mortimer started off as "Morty". He was originally made to be Aria Tezari's twin brother and was played by a friend. My friend developed the character's initial personality. When he left the server, I asked permission to take over the character and began playing him again shortly after Aria's death. I made Morty his nickname and expanded his full name to Mortimer. Though the last name isn't suiting, it's a little bit of past history so I decided to not change it.

And for any who wonder, I play N'omiel strictly on my main and Mortimer strictly on my alt.

I recall a thing with lava hair once shifted at me and I followed it for a while with my OP 16 year old half-Dakkar human looking fire mage that existed in my noob days and could sit in lava.
We've met before, it seems.
Wow.

Role-play name: Neil Cargoton
Created for the use of black market roleplay to rebel against
Qadir. He owns a Dock/Storage house in Regalia2 so I created the last name
Cargoton = Cargo = Storage
I asked OldmanJ for some names that started with Ne and he gave
me Neil. I though Dude I know a sick guy named Neil thats totally
going to be my characters name. Now I'm here living in as Cargoton
soon to be joining in any upcoming Rebellions agains the Qadir

Cayd is an exagerated versions on myself, he is smarter, weaker, more shy, older, more powerful, more socially awkward. And above all, he is more spanish. Also he is a mage becuase I like magic.

Alea is based off of the opposite of me, basically.

When I originally made Alea, most of her traits were done like they are as to compensate for what I don't have. While I'm a fragile, small little thing, Alea remains rather strong and well in her fighting. I can't fight at all, but I always reaally liked the thought of being stronger, and being able to defend myself without being looked down upon as a small little-.. Squeak. Her personality slowly formed into something fun for me to play, as I enjoy myself playing mean characters whether that sounds odd or not. Generally Alea would be angry, when I'm angry. And because Alea is a generally more violent and harsh character, I can let out the anger I'd usually hold in through her.

Her name on the other hand, was simply me wanting "Ash" in my name, and my sister looking through female elven names til I heard one I liked. As I said, she was created a year ago so I just went with it as I didn't know much at the time, and I didn't really think she'd last long.

Adrian - Basically my personality, mixed with barbaric viking elements. I also wanted a character who can cast some form of magic.

Searlas -A likeable sociopath who kills the rude? Think I've been watching too much Hannibal.

Erik - I created this character as the chief of my faction, meant for roleplaying negotiations with allies and so on. Also, swedish accent because swedish accent.

As for character names, I use this website called behindthename.com. It basically has a database of all real names there are, and their meanings and popularity.

Um, what race is you character Elite? And I'm pretty sure that Elite isn't a compliant name for any race. Dyriotic is a good Dwarf of Elf name, but otherwise it just sounds like Dyrium.

Back when I RPd, my character Feanor Rythen is based largely off of me. He's arrogant, moody, obsessed with knowledge, and just a bit bipolar.
