The Weather in Regalia

This is a perpetually updated weekly weather report for Regalia. Every Sunday, this thread will be updated with a weather report per week. You can choose to ignore this if you want for purpose of dramatics in a roleplay scene, but it is recommended to follow it for sake of consistency with everyone else. Sometimes, weather will affect the Ability system because of how severe it gets, or it will lead in to in-game events. In this case, they will be announced tertiarily, and sometimes mentioned on this page.

In Tallham Gall and the far countryside, Covenant worshippers praise the raising of the moon. Marken feel themselves grow in rage and power. This week is a Marken Moon.

If you are a Marken, transforming into Full-Marken form for the first time in Combat heals you for 2HP and raises your max HP to 12HP.

EXTRA NOTES:
- Wolves, Bears & Dire Wolves in the Badlands have started growing more aggressive.
- Halfvel's worshippers, Broken Gods worshippers and Regalian Knights are put into overtime handling an increase in Marken aggression.
- The rain is expected to worsen in the coming week.
- Pollen is kicked up further by the wind. This has sort of taken a backfoot to the Marken issue, but people with pollen allergies have their own sickness to fight.
- The Cobbler's Guild is offering half off repairs for rainboots.
- Hostesse announces a special for Summer vacation stays.
- There is an uptick of stray cats in Floralcourt.

This week has a HAZARD.
Due to the sowing rush for spring, the von Treppewitz factories in Crookback are being pushed into full gear, coating Crookback and the Sewers in a thick, awful smog. The populations in both areas begin to feel weaker, and ill.
Everyone in CROOKBACK or THE SEWERS has their maximum HP reduced by two, until they leave that area. Hazard Presence Pack, Vampirism, and other similar mechanics render a character immune to this effect (or to breathing) makes them exempt. If confused, feel free to make a ticket!​

EXTRA NOTES:
- Bee populations have started clearing up, though pollen has not, meaning that Crookback & The Sewers deal with smog while the rest of the city struggles with allergies.
- The overcast and smog-coated nights make this a particularly tough week for Veilwalkers.
- Draconist-ran businesses start to slash prices on gift items in preparation for the Cycles of Creation.
- The Basilisk population in the Badlands has started thawing from hibernation especially late, and they are especially hungry. People are advised, as always, to stay away from the Badlands.

The rain and winds have blown away some of the smog, as production goes back to usual levels. Crookback is still smoggy, and some people are still sick, but it has since returned to manageable levels.​

EXTRA NOTES:
- It's horse-racing season. Nobles and wealthy commoners alike prepare to bet on their favorite racehorse. Delinquents and distasteful sorts prepare to engage in goat-thieving.
- It's expected next week will have heavy, heavy rains. Prices are raised for raincoats, anoraks and wetware across the city.
- Flowers are in bloom across the city despite that. Flower sales go up in expectation for various fertility & community festivals across each faith.
- The clear skies are great for Veilwalking. It will be especially easy to Veilwalk into the Eidolon this week.
