• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

My very first attempt at a monster/creature type thing, here is my interpretation of the Sea Serpent that Empress Mikuni summoned during the Battle of Feng Huang, at the end of the Chrysant Wars. You can read more about it on the human lore page.

So, this picture was way outside my comfort zone, but I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised with how it turned out. There were suppose to be a few ships as well, but after working on this for a few days, I decided to stop it here. I might go back and try painting some ships, but, gah. They're so intricate.

But overall, a-yup. You can see, in the enlarged version, that it is actually still rather messy and unrefined. But at my stage of art skill, my goal was to at least get the impression of the vision in my head using colors and shading, which I did. So I'm happy with the result~

I think that this is fantastic, I like how you got the image of what goes on in my mind when I hear the word Serpent, but the thing that I like the most is how you made the background/landscape of the creatures location. Keep up all of the good work!

That's really neat- what medium do you use to make these?

This was entirely done in Photoshop. I started with a basic, faint sketch for the serpent, and then basically shaded it away as I started putting in details and more colors. It's one of the few instances where I didn't use any true lineart to make the drawing, which is what I'm trying to work towards.
