• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

On the night of the 21st 303 AC, a group covered in common rags, with bandages wrapped around their heads to disguise themselves, a group of six walks into the Clinic in the central district of Regalia. Quentin Sinclair, Fell Ragnarren, Llewellyn Aeglossiil, Rei Kanter, Amber de Blouscheur and Casper Durant enter with the intent to make their organization known to the city. Their accomplice Alora stayed outside, watching the entry of the clinic.

The planning of the heist was well thought through, but the assumptions made by the group were completely incorrect. The clinic was overfilled since the riots a couple of days back, the entire floor was packed with people making it hard to move. Nurses were also constantly moving around, as many patients could not sleep, suffering from severe burn wounds and other ailments. The group was inevitably discovered by one of the nurses who, judging them from closeby with the limited light of her candle, could at least make out that they were able to stand up straight and walk, and probably had no place in the clinic which was only accepting the most severely wounded these days. She kindly asked them to leave to make place for new, more needy patients. The group did not take kindly to this nurse telling them to leave, so as silently as possible, they knocked her out cold.

Unfortunately, the clinic was so tightly packed that some of the patients and nurses noticed as the nurse yelped and fell to the floor. Initially there was a short silence, but as the other patients poked others awake, hundreds of eyes pointed themselves at the group. Llewellyn, who had an issue with being in crowded areas with a lot of people, felt a sudden nausea overcome her. She squatted to the floor with her hands in her hair; all the people were looking at her, the air was heavy and damp, and it smelled of rotten breath and dead people. Llewellyn refused to go further, yet the others pressed on.

Quentin Sinclair managed to find a key to the vault upstairs, but when entering it, he found absolutely nothing. The clinic once stored toxins and rare potions there for curing a number of ailments. These were all out of stock; only empty bottles were left behind as the clinic had used up its entire stocks on the recent patient influx. Hurrying downstairs, they were informed the second floor search party (or what was left of it with Llewellyn sitting on the floor below) found nothing either. Returning downstairs, the large crowd of people had already realized a heist was going on and rushed to leave the building. Alora killed one of the nurses trying to get out, but eventually was overwhelmed by the crowd, unable to stop the tide. Casper Durant found a single barrel unopened marked as Lampero opium. The other barrel next to it was already empty, presumably used up the day before.

The doorwatch Alora eventually spotted the guards who had noticed the rush of people running down the stairs and came closer, yet slowly because of the traffic holding them up. The clinic was in fact right next to a guard tower where patrols slept, and next to that tower was the central barracks of the harbor guard, the gatehouse, only two streets away from the Imperial guard tower. When it became clear what was happening, more and more guards came closer trying to make their way to the clinic. Alora knew this, and she ran off, though not before alerting her companions of the approaching guards.

The group sped out of the building, Rei Kanter casting some wayward fireballs at the building to set it ablaze while also tossing a flag down the staircase, there being no time to attach it to a pole at the base of the hill which was swarming with guards. The fireballs set the upper floors of the clinic ablaze as they ran on, the sound of alarm bells suddenly filling the night sky. Lights were turning on in every street and guards rushed to the avenues in search of the heist group. Eventually a patrol of guards caught up, the relatively frail members of the group were not able to run as fast as they should. Casper Durant saved the group from having to go into combat by hurling the barrel of Lampero opium at the guards, knocking them down and spilling the poppy seed all over the street and onto them. Immediately a crowd of beggars descended upon it and they used their opportunity to flee into the sewer maintenance runnels, disappearing down in the tunnels below.

The top floor of the clinic burned down completely, though luckily the fast arrival of the many guards and the relative vicinity of the clinic to the spa baths allowed the guards to quickly subdue the fire before it reached the ground floor. While the clinic had it's capacity halved, it continued to function, albeit more desperately requesting aid from the citizens of regalia to take in the wounded and care for the sick, as well as share any supplies they had. The heist of the Lichtblick clinic exposed a larger problem. The city guards became too few to properly patrol the streets anymore, and unsavory elements of Regalian society had started to prey on the poor during this troublesome time. The next morning, droves of faithful flocked to the temple which was still closed, praying on the steps to the entrance for salvation from their Emperor who was off in some distant land fighting a war.

====STAGE ONE: Entry====

Does Group Floor 3 get discovered moving up?

-10 look like regular patients

+10 Clinic is overcrowded and the floor is packed even at night

= 50 = Roll result = 29

YES THEY GET DISCOVERED

Does Group Floor 2 get discovered moving up?

Base Discovery Chance = 50

-10 look like regular patients

+10 Clinic is overcrowded and the floor is packed even at night

+10 Casper is claustrophobic and probably gets anxiety from all the people around him moaning and breathing.

= 60 = Roll result = 48

YES THEY GET DISCOVERED

Does Group Floor 1 get discovered moving up?

Base Discovery Chance = 50

-10 look like regular patients

+10 Clinic is overcrowded and the floor is packed even at night

+10 Lle suffers from anxiety at large groups of people. The clinic is overpacked with sick people

= 60 = Roll result = 34

YES THEY GET DISCOVERED

Alore remains at the door.

When all three groups get discovered by a nurse, does the nurse send them away or lets them pass?

Base Chance = 50

-10 They look like patients

+10 They can walk so what are they still doing in the clinic?

= 50 = Roll Result = 15

Nurse tells them to GTFO

Does Alora jump in and pretend being injured to distract the nurse who tells them to GTFO?

Base Chance = 50

-10 Qan Ata really don't care about other people

= 40 = Roll result = 53

NO she does not.

Does one of the group subdue the nurse? Quick sucker punch to the face or something.

Base Chance = 50

+20 Large Group

+20 Don't care to hurt anyone

+10 Durant Brute

+10 Ice mage

= 110 =

Insta success

The nurse was probably carrying a lantern, did it smash into any furniture?

Base Chance 20 = Roll Result = 49

NO

Do the other patients and nurses notice?

Base Chance 50

+10 large group

+10 clinic is overpacked and the floors are full

= 70 = Roll result = 6

Yes they notice

Do the nurses or patients suspect something is foul or just a patient having some sort of seizure?

Base Chance 50

-30 Lle probably has an actual anxiety attack with hundreds of eyes on him in a tight location

-10 look like patients

= 10 = Rolll result = 10

sucks2suck the other patients and nurses see it

Does Alora kill a nurse running for the guards?

Base Chance 50

+10 Qan Ata I guess

= 60 = Roll Result = 58

YES

Yup the nurse drops dead. Everyone in the clinic is probably starting to panic at this point and starting rushing about. While Lle is laying on the floor having an anxiety attack, the others go ahead with the plan.

Floor 3 tries to bust into the cell. I'm not an asshole so to replace Quentin's acid waterbending shit, they find the key. The key unlocks a completely empty storage unit that was used to store valuable potions and tonics before. Obviously the clinic ran out of these ages ago and whatever gold may have hypothetically be there was probably not lore compliant because clinics are funded by the government and healthcare is free for citizens.

Floor 2 is one man short, and finds nothing, because there is, absolutely nothing. The clinic ran out of food bandages and medical supplies ages ago and is mostly surviving on scraps that come in daily, which are clearly already used up at night.

Floor 1 finds one unopened Lampero opium barrel and take it with them. At this point everyone in the clinic knows a heist is going on and a veritable rush of people crashing through the front door, far too many for Alora to kill.

Alora probably isn't dumb and would run because she knows the clinic is kind of right next to a guard tower and the guard barracks in the gatehouse, also just around the corner to the Imperial Guard tower, the dudes who sort of took control of the city.

Does Alora run?
Base Chance 50

+20 Is Qan Ata and probably just cares for herself

= 70 = Roll Result = 79

No lol she stays. Silly girl.

With the crowd rushing out and probably moaning and groaning for help, do the guards in the relative area notice?

Base Chance = 50 = Roll Result = 4

YES THEY DO

Alora sees the guards coming and probably wants to run after telling the others

Base Chance 50

+20 Qan ata

+20 guard are coming

= 90 = Roll Result = 74

Bai Alora!

Lle probably managed to restrain herself at this point as most of the people are limping out of the building.

Floor 3 and 2 come back empty handed, Floor 1 has the barrel. Proceeding to Escape phase.

====STAGE TWO ESCAPE====

Does the group escape before the guards arrive?

Base Chance 50

+10 small group

+10 loads of people pressing out, guards probably can't reach them

+10 they know the guards are coming because Alora told them

= 80 = Roll Result = 28

Escape is made. Rei shoots some fire into the clinic but she's obviously a student so won't be very direct with his spells, especially running from the guards. Fire starts. They sort of toss the flag down the hill I guess? There is no real time to attach it to anything.

====STAGE THREE ESCAPE STREETS====
The guards will have started ringing the bells as they do when some shit is going down given the fire and the veritable crowd and the dead nurse in front of the clinic.

Do they get discovered running to the sewer entrance behind the tavern?

Base Chance 50

+10 kinda look suspicious now with that disguise

+5 some of them are kinda weak physically and probably couldn't outrun a fit guard

65 = Roll result = 59

YES

Do the guards engage them in combat or does Durant just toss the barrel at them and escape with the group?

Base Chance 50

+10 they kinda wanna run

+10 Durant has a good throwing arm because Dralonais

= 70 = Roll result = 47

Escape secured. loot lost.

Casper Durant found a single barrel unopened marked as Lampero opium. The other barrel next to it was already empty, presumably used up the day before.

Nice heist, guys.

Yes we did it!
IC:

In the sewers once more, Amber looked to her comrades with a grin "Well, wasnt this pleasant, Monsieurs?" getting no reply she glared off, before waving the group along, Where would they go now?

Woot woot!
IC:
Once in the sewers with her companions, Alora would grin to herself thinking of the chaos the group had caused "Well done kin, well done..", she would pay no attention to Amber, who had spoken to them, but would go to make sure the news was spread to the rest of the Kindred members

I'd say they needed practice, maybe rob some general stores first before robbing a big pretty much full clinic full of moaning people which actually is the only real clinic and/or the biggest in Regalia

Given recent events, the sight of smoke was not something to be overlooked. Upon seeing the plumes of blackness and the faint glow of orange from the hill, Leah felt her heart sink and her stomach begin turning in knots. For a few seconds she froze, before a shout was heard from one of the nearby guards. "Fire! The clinic has been attacked!" The Kade took off in a dead sprint, pushing past the rush of citizens who were running away from the scene, without caring to stop the looters.

"Joscelin?! Joscelin!!" her voice was one among many, heart racing and true panic in her eyes. She took off her helmet to better see the faces of passing civilians, scanning them in the darkness. War was one thing; you went in expecting to lose friends and prepared to experience the pain. This was different; it was senseless. And she was very, very afraid of what she would find of her dear younger brother.

Groux heard the news after approaching the clinic to seak treatment from some rather nasty rash he got from Regalia's more destitute women. "Fockin' amateurs." He slowly ran his tongue of his lower lip as he scratched his upper thigh. Time to assert some domincance over these magic wielding ninnys.

Mainly Melee Vampire Ninnys*

Llewellyn growled through her heavy breaths, bringing her fingers to claw through her hair. Luckily her horns had not been exposed in the body crush. However she couldn't help but grow angered at her own ridiculous break-down, the first real one that'd really occurred for her. A final sigh escaped her lips as the Isldar cast a thought back, she'd have to be careful next time. Isldars are easy to recognise, especially one like her.
...

Eh Its too late to English.

Quentin
sat atop one of the worn and weathered mossy stone steps amongst the darkness of the sewers. He couldn't help but shake his head with disbelief-- the safe was empty. He hadn't expected that. Given the circumstances, he believed he should have done so. After all, if he didn't expect it, who would? He was the mind of the operation, after all. Newly appointed to his current holding within the bastardised Kindred, he led a fair number of them. An approximate half. He was a genius-- clearly. He had accomplished so much in his life.. it would have been a waste to dwell in his misfortune. The fresh memories of the burning Healing House churned in his mind, feeding him the strength to continue on. He couldn't help but smirk to himself-- intent on twisting his comrades' perspective on the matter., utilising his well exercised silver-tongue. Pushing himself to his feet, he beckoned them close, addressing them..

"I'm not to sugar-coat it, the heist was a failure." He began, eyeing them all closely. He met their sombre disappointment with a newly curling smile, "That is not to say.. we did not succeed entirely. Regalia's beacon of hope-- the Lichtblick Clinic; it was always assumed to be untouchable. A place where the wounded could rest, free of harm. This day we have proven to Regalia.. for this to be far, far beyond the case." He aimed to stroke their malicious hearts, giving them intent. Giving them a corrupted hope within the idea of the chaos they had just caused. He had paused, allowing the statement-- no, fact to sink, before continuing.

"The carriage ride does not end here. For countless decades now the Sanguine inflicted and demon-touched of Regalia have been oppressed, cut down.. and even /cured/. We.. do not seek a cure. We seek to fulfil our desires, do we not? To each our own, yes! But together.. we will see ourselves sated." Finding bewilderment and awe in their eyes now-- if not that, at least the faintest trails of curiosity. It was enough. The tone of passion in his voice escalated, it was a helpful gift to hold. Manipulating the meek minded.

"What say you, my kinsmen in misdeed? My Kindred de Nocturne? Shall we walk hand in hand, and plunge this city into an age of blood? The guard is weak. Regalia is weak. Their citizens have been dealt injuries of both the flesh and the heart. The time is NOW!~" He finished, dipping his head softly, slinking away a few steps back-- allowing the silence to occupy the group once more, leaving them with their thoughts. He had them in his gloved palm-- he knew he did. They each craved what they could not legally obtain, and it would be that bond of crime that Quentin Sinclair would utilise to bind them together, to not only survive-- but thrive in Regalia's no doubt short lasting moment of weakness.

And whilst the rest of them danced in falling flesh hail and bloodied rain, Quentin would be bathing in Gold. This Kindred de Nocturne would be his own personal Philosopher's Stone~

Some men just want to watch Aloria burn...

Oooh. Rei was pissed that they lost the opium. She ran her hand through her hair before breathing heavily after running into the sewers to get away from the guards. Rei gazed over her companions before turning around to look at the entrance they had entered to get into the sewers. Mm. It could've been worse but they hadn't really succeeded but caused a lot of chaos. She wondered how much damage she did to the clinic. Did the entire thing burn down or was it just a bit burnt? Rei would have to find out for herself, wondering if any of the patients were injured or suffering in the fire that she had started. Hah. Rei hoped that the patients were suffering in the fire. Except, there was none since it was put out. She crossed her arms and listened in to what everyone had said to her or to everyone, staying quiet as she was awfully pissed off that they had lost the loot. They had gotten nothing out of this but did get to cause a large amount of fear and panic. At least, Rei had gotten some entertainment and a bit of amusement.

As Móz slept in the sewers that night, he could hear the distant clatterings of the great commotion, but thought nothing of it. As a small group quietly dashed past him, he did not realise the heist that they had just pulled off.

Am I the only person who sees this as being absolutely pointless... Unless the point was to burn more of Regalia... If thats the case then I 108% #PutinAproves

It was a terror attack, mostly. 'No place is safe' kind of deal. Because, you know, everyone kind of assumes you can fight recklessly, heal up safely at the clinic, and fight again. Yeaaaah no~

p.s. It didn't go according to plan at all, but heck, we got to burn down a Regalian landmark, to a degree. Which is more than most people can say they've done. c:{

Fell Ragnarren tilted his head upwards some as his eyes opened, his thoughts interrupted by the words of his leader. What was said sank into his mind on a base level: Kill for the Sanguine. Maim for the Sanguine. Fight for the Sanguine. Spread fear to those who would oppose us.

The thoughts were fleeting.

Within those dark catacombs two crimson eyes blazed with a malicious glee upon an otherwise unnaturally calm face, staring out over the crowd that was the assorted members of his Kindred. Pulling the furs from his head he caught the eyes of a number of them, faces showing not only hunger and lust for blood or coin, but pride for what feat they had accomplished. They were eager. Too eager if one were to ask Fell. Naught but a black banner upon the charred wreckage of the clinic could be seen as a reward of their deeds.

How willing they all were to throw their lives away for such a cause.

He couldn't help but smirk at that.

Lithiel worked silently for a day after the burning. Her arms and feet were bound in strips of cloth, her eyes distant and tired.

On the day of the heist she was busy healing some fatal burned victims, children- and they cried as she peeled damped cloth from thier chard flesh when the screams started. All things went to chaos when the nurse cried out and fell dead-
Wrapped in black and rags they came in like a bad dream and murdered one of the nurses right in front of her!
'…how could you…' the healer thought in utter horror. She was gone before Lithiel could do anything.
The thieves went upstairs to steal whatever they could and rightfully found nothing- well no kidding!! What did they think they had? a treasure horde!!?
They were spent enough as it was- hardly any opium left, but they were just scraping by thanks to Cedric's kind donation, and those heartless bastards came to take whatever they had left! But even with Cedrics kindness the clinic had hardly anything to steal! NOTHING! which made the brutality more than just a low blow, it was downright reprehensible! The clinic was helpless, and those low life heartless bastards had the audacity to attack it, filled with people! Kind, thoughtless, selfless people were being killed- and for WHAT?!
The Lothar cursed in elvish, wishing more than ever she had her bow back so she could riddle them with as many arrows as physically possible! When the victims who could run tried to leave, one of the nurses was murdered by an attacker who was guarding the exit- but soon the panic rose and those who could run fled right through the enemy.

And then it was set it ablaze by a fire mage who threw balls left and right. Chasing after her with with the trusty broom Lithiel was a pitiful protector. She was down right powerless, what was a light mage who healed, against a fire mage??
All she could do as try and put out the blaze with whatever she could find as the guards arrived to help. Thanks to them the clinic survived, but something had died that day along with the victims, a feeling of safety.

In their wake was an instilled fear that saturated the entire building.

Lithiel walked through the throngs of weeping, moaning, helpless victims, her own arms and feet bound from burns, with a heavy heart, distant sorrow filled eyed and a tired weakened stature. Thanks ot this she was pushed to use her magic to compensate. She was careful, sparing with her craft but exessive use still took it's toll in the end.
Joscelin was watchful, making sure she did not over exert herself.
Combined with her duties extended tenfold thanks to this attack, the lothar was like the dead walking herself.

She'd not seen friends or family for days, those missing weighed havily on her heart.
Where was Gabriel- ..
...was Amber alright?
...Sekhe, Flynn,…
she'd not seen Naushe in so long. How was Belle, and Telvos?
what happened to the whole lot of them?

Countless faces were in her head she prayed they were all fine. She was unable to make sure for now.
Standing by the window as the rain began to fall, it brought the lothar no comfort this time like it usually did. She'd have to go home when she could and take what home grown supplies that were ready… and prayed no one tried breaking into her own home this time.

And then it was set it ablaze by a fire mage who threw balls left and right. Chasing after with with her trusty broom Lithiel was a pitiful protector.

She was careful, sparing with her craft but exessive use still took it's toll. Joscelin was watchful, making sure she did not over exert herself.
Combined with her duties extended tenfold thanks to this attack the lothar was like the dead walking herself.

I'm so sorry like omg jbnauodbayifbf

And to think your other character delivered bread and medicine to the prison cell of man who masterminded it all~

Not only that but Lithiel had let Rei stay in her home.~

@MonMarty

I certainly hopes this doesn't interrupt, so answer when you may.
I noticed that this barely has to do with warring events, at least not directly. Are people with approved characters allowed to send you a world-progression idea for it to be rolled on?
If so, how would one go about doing this?

Thank you!

Oh, look. Opium.
