• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

Our First Step

We've noticed a trend over the years, one that concerns how faction relations are currently handled on the server. Want an ally, just send a request. Want to enemy a faction, just /f enemy them. The simplicity of how faction relations are handled currently, lacks the player interaction that we yearn to see and know is possible of the server.

So, what have we been doing and what will we be doing going forward to assist in remedying this?

We've been setting many of our relations to neutral, and we'll continue to do so to those who we are currently enemied, truced, and allied with. It's a different approach than that of which we've normally taken which has consisted of enemying everyone. We want to cut down on meaningless conflicts that have been plaguing the server for years now. This more organized and immersive approach will cue the start of the implementation of our ideas in regards to how we'll be approaching our attempt to incorporate RP back into factions through a multitude of methods.

The first of these methods is how we will approach our own diplomatic affairs. We will no longer accept relation requests through the traditional system in place. In essence what we're saying is that if you send us a faction relation request(ally/truce/neutral) by simply typing the command and sending a message such as "I wanna be friends!" your request will be ignored. In order to help incorporate RP back into factions we'll be conducting all of our diplomacy through a system revolving around character to character interactions. Diplomats, messengers, and harbingers will be trained and utilized for creating our faction relations. Diplomats and messengers will be used in establishing and maintaining relations, whilst harbingers will be used to announce declarations of war. As expected we will likewise be prepared to receive other factions' representatives.

In regards to the Insidian Supremacy, everything established up until this point is dissolved. Due to our inactivity and recent return, we have decided that it is best to start anew. Before, the supremacy was loose, unorganized, and being a member faction did not actually have the implications that our plans intended to include. This being said, whether joining willingly or as a conquered faction, there will be systems in place to organize and maintain functionality, as well as promote unity throughout and RP interactions between member factions.

To wrap things up, we're hoping by doing this we can create some changes throughout the factions community. We're hoping other faction leaders will take more of an interest in properly developing their factions, both in lore and structure. The immersion is lacking and there is serious potential to create some change the server has been missing. There's only so much we can rely on staff for, and the community and environment is on us to improve.
