• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

~Imperial Proclamation~

On a chilly February afternoon, the city of light's inhabitants seemed relatively at peace, apart from a small selection of nobility that happened to be cooped up in the Imperial Palace. After several days of interrogating, accusations, and general chaos, it all came to an end. As the odd gaggle of nobility and servants left the Imperial Palace, couriers raced ahead of them, spreading news to any who would listen. While news rang out concerning the fates of several nobles, perhaps most influential on the common people was this proclamation.

"Hear the news, from the Imperial Palace! The Violet Order is to soon be disbanded!"

The city guard would soon disband. What would become of the city, without its centralized guard? Would the new charters keep the peace, or succumb to the very favoritism that doomed the old guard? Whatever the end result, a time of change, and possibly manipulation of the very law, may be on it's way to the city of light.

OOC Summary of Lore happenings:

  • The Violet Order is disbanding. There will be a short transition period while things are sorted out, so until explicitly stated, the Violet Order will continue to function. All roleplay rules and regulations related to them will continue to function, until they close for good.

  • The law will soon be carried out by charters, which you can apply to form here. The exact rights and abilities of each charter is on the linked thread, but in general, all etiquette from the old guard will be transferred to the appropriate charter, with the exception of death permission protection.

  • Greygate will likely be taken over by the most successful and powerful charter. The Violet Order Captain's continue to control the guard for the final month of transition.

Well at least I still I have a month of being a captain. It has been a great, albeit short run.
and corruption runs rampant in the next month.

Well, guess the Jacobists will finally have their last laugh, then.
So why exactly is it being disbanded?

Scandle! Deception! Will Streako ever find enough time to log back on and discover what's happened to his beloved city?!?!?! Only time will tell!

Soon... Purge with no forseable end? Now whenever I finish getting back, Rchkchk isn't going to be able to run to the guards if he gets in trouble...

There's still a hospital-type thing in the park, right?

Everyone who is celebrating the end of the violet guards as heaven for their criminal characters is probably forgetting one thing.

Private Contractors. Expect the Guard force to triple fold and compete with another over arrests.

Guard amount may tripple
but efficiency will hopefully not.
and
if they barg into my house weapons drawn ready to arrest me i now theoreticaly could kill them because they don't have teh death protection the violets had. that alone is for me a reason to cheer as i realy think crime RP wil benefit from this.

Build a spike trap in your main room. Ploop, fall, dead official vigilantes.

This takes place after the "Post-Daenshore Uncertainty" roleplay.

How he got the news wasn't important. Lorenzo Martinez looked down on the parchment, and had to bury his face in his inner-elbow to initially conceal the smile. Maybe his arrest records from after the usurpation will be gone, gone along with the letters that doomed him in the first place?

From the harbor, he started walking towards his office of El Beneficio. His brother had already beat him to it, but as he walked, his smile started to fade.

"You messed with the wrong people."

Lorenzo would recall the words, the voice, the situation. The smell of oil. His gagged mouth. What if these people, the charter holders, wanted to get back at him? Favoritism, corruption... no. Before, it was only one order that he had to look over his shoulder for. Now, it'll be many. Serious reform had to be done to El Beneficio and La Ganga itself. They needed to keep up with the charters being made.

A business to hide behind wasn't going to be enough anymore.

They needed a charter. Their own charter.

The doorknob turns, and he walks in.
"Santiago. The good news, or the bad news? Which do you want first?"
