• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

I was wondering about the new map and wished to request that being in a light source like fire, lava ore torch light would keep you character warm. Also I wished to know if you needed to be completely covered in leather to be warm ore just need 1 piece of clothing that is leather.

My friend also wants to know if Dwarfs will be more resistant to it due to being more hardy?

I think that in the snow world (forgot the name) you have to wear leather armour or be a frostmorn so you don't freeze to death

Yup, it was the same one that mentioned the dark world they're going to make for my Leoids :D

The world you are talking about is Jorrhildr

Anyway to add a heating source like this would require a heating plugin. It would be possible I suppose but I'm not sure if it would be worth the effort.

On another note I am really looking forward to this world as it should drive up the price of leather (great for all the factions with cows)

It would be good if the cold thing only effected you when you were outside (or possibly in the snow and it could be set so it is always snowing, not so good for Agni but they shouldn't be in the world anyway). So if dwarf lived under ground they would not be effected. But the leather Armour system seems like it will be a lots simpler and work better.

I wonder how they will integrate the damage because of cold thing, will it be a poison effect, a hunger loss feature or something else?

Well, the sun will still be there so I assume so. The giant mountains will probably block the sun in various locations. It's possible vamps will all the same effects except for burning.
Also, vampires would be immune to cold still, right? It doesn't make sense that they freeze to death when they... don't need their vital organs.

They still need their brain and heart I believe (how else would they get all the blood they drink round their body). And if it was really cold their blood (well, other peoples blood they are using) could freeze or their fangs could become brittle and break.

If you've ever been through the disease sequence, it says 'It feels like your body is dead, but your soul is trapped'. We aren't talking about the real world.

I have never been a vampire (I'm an elf) I may try it for a couple of days. Back on topic, I would say vampires still have some parts of there body that work (their arms for example) and these could freeze if it was cold enough.

But they wouldn't die. THey would get slowness. (With the sun irradiation, they will go into that and get out of the cold irradiation)

Yeah, but the Maiars and Agnis should have advantage in certain places. Like, Maiar freezes slower due to getting used to cold water and so on, and Agni would be able to wander further without dying.

So, the elemental being of water which freezes will DEFINITELY be better off in a super cold world. As well as a being that is used to extreme heat! I love logic! If anyone survives longer it should be humans, as in the lore it says that they are the most adaptable race and hence the best at colonization.

I think that it wouldn't really matter much, standing in fire regardless of your race is a bad idea, particularly considering if you survive longer, all it means is that your armour will take more damage.

I myself think that we should stop making suggestions on races lasting longer, and let frostmorn have their time to shine. Or just wear leather armor. This is really going to help that market..

lol I meant Agnis would be in the hot world, and the Maiars being used to such cold waters would be able to travel lighter with less armour, them being more used to the cold of water and of the surface. Sorry it didn't make much sense before, I lack the ability to explain things well that first time, but do much better the second...

Well I just created this post to get some information about how things will be in the new map in regards to ways to keep warm and not just have to wear leather.
Getting cold when in the blizzard is a nice idea. I would imagine it would not be as cold inside the cave.
you think it be possible to speed up the snow fall animation to make it feel more like a blizzard and possibly put some sound effects of harsh winds wile inside?

Also I was wondering if anyone knew when the map would be released?

On the topic of snowfall speed-
I am pretty sure that is clientside, so it cannot be changed by the server.
And for a release date, I do not think there is one yet (or a public one at least)
