It was a bitter cold start to an autumnal day, the rain clouds were closing in on the bustling city of chatter and foot steps. The wind howled and the tree's yearned and groaned against the elements, a flurry of red and orange leaves fell to the feet of a familiar ginger altalar, stepping out into her small enclosed yard, a sole withered tree grew in the centre and a mere stone bird bath sat beneath it, shimmering as the water rippled against the wind.

Approaching the bath her fingertips travelled against the circumference of the edge, peering down upon her wavy reflection "Oh Val, what would he say?" She mumbled under her breath, her nose wrinkling slightly, wafting away her reflecting with a little flicker of her fingers, the splashed water leaving a wet mark upon the untouched stone.

A crackle of thunder rumbled in the distance, causing the redhead to raise her attention to the sky, staring up at the greying clouds, inhaling a deep breath taking in the fresh air. Unknown to most who knew her, she actually enjoyed this weather, chasing storms and seeing lightning always thrilled her, the crazy weather filled her with adrenaline and excitement, and most often then not, it soothed her.

Gnawing on the inside of her cheek, the woman seemed to be conflicted. Exhaling softly "One more time, then I'll stop." She spoke to herself firmly, as if those words would actually make a difference, not like she had said that to herself the last five times. This weather spurred on a particular memory anyway.

Raising her hand, slender fingertips pressed lightly against her temple. Shutting her eyes as her hand gently began to move away from their aforementioned position, drawing a shining metallic liquid, what one would presume starlight looked like in their imagination. Manoeuvring the glimmering liquid with ease through the air, the woman's eyes slowly opened as the arcane substance dripped gently into the bird bath beneath her.

Momentarily composing herself, she dropped her gaze to the pool of water, as the shining liquid began to take form. A memory of the past, one she held dear, began to dance across the water in silence, though the woman could remember the conversation clearly. Grasping the basin either side with her palms, she leaned her head down staring, taking in every detail. Her lips parting as she re-lived her cherished moments.

"-Honestly I don't see why you're afraid of the storm mi corazon, it's wonderful." The brunette daen uttered soothingly albeit confused, draping an arm around the quivering nelfin beside him. Tugging a blanket around the two of them like a small cocoon.

"I think it's because it's uncontrollable. It does what it wants and doesn't have a care in the world. Destroys things for no reason." Val mumbled, nuzzling her face into the woollen blanket, leaning into the warmth of her betrothed beside her.

The man stiffened momentarily and hitched his breath "I have an idea!" he declared quickly, rising to his feet, the blanket going flying behind them upon the wooden floor they were sat upon. Staring into the roaring in front of them. "Can I show you something? Do you trust me?" He questioned, reaching out his hand, the soft yet coarse hand, one of a hard worker.

She thought for a moment, what on aloria was he planning? Grasping his hand, swiftly being tugged to her feet and dragged out of the room, steadily being led up the stairs. Although her gaze changed to a more questionable look as her lover stopped at the door leading to the roof. "Are you ready?" He questioned and the door swung open as soon as she nodded her head.

Bewildered, her jaw dropped. A sharp cold gust of wind smacked into them causing hair to fly behind them in a hasty dance, thunder drumming in the horizon. "W-What are we doing? Are you mad? Marcello?" She blurted out, squeezing his hand tightly. Leaves swept into the stairway amongst other outside debris.

"Oh hush mi corazon, look." he uttered softly despite the howling winds blowing at the two stood at the doorway. Pointing outwards to the horizon, with a confused look the ginger peered over at the gesture and immediately her jaw dropped.

Lightning danced across the dark blanketed sky, skittering and flickering in awe like a scene of magic. The betrothed pair stared in awe at the show before them, eyes sparkling in pure adoration of the miraculous spectacle.

"Are you still afraid of storms?" He asked softly, the arm around the lady's face tightened, pulling her into his side.

A soft laugh escaped her.

"Oh spirits no." She declared, grinning as a gust blew at their hair.

She reached out her hand, fully immersed in the replay of her memory, reaching out to touch the shimmering silver replica of his hair within the pool, though the whole image distorted as the water flickered and warped the scene. Exhaling a sigh, a small smile formed upon her lips

"Thank you, mi amor." She uttered, peering up at the sky as the first droplets of rain fell gracefully upon her cheeks, a grin replacing her expression. Inhaling the rain scented air as she slowly made way for her backdoor, returning indoors to eagerly watch the travelling storm from her window.

OOC:

Ever since the Altalar rework I've been wanting to write a lore story with the new memorymancy in mind. Conjuring up this lore story over the past few days!
