• Inventory Split Incoming

    MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

    Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

    Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

I was looking around for servers, and found this one, which really interested me. So I joined it and realized it's 1.12–but I can download that version. My name's Crystal, but you could probably see that.
I dunno if I'll actually ever play, because looking through the character template is.. daunting. Especially the personality. I have trouble coming up with five words for personalities.
But anyway, hi, I'm here now

The personality section is often the more challenging part of the Character Application. At least I know it is for me. It'll vary between reviewer on how detailed you're meant to go, but it shouldn't scare you away. I'd suggest taking a look at approved character applications and using those as guides for your own.
 
Looking through those just scared me even more, so I'll just look around on the faction server and maybe the creative one too, no matter how much I wanna roleplay now-

Pick key words to describe yours or someone's you know personality. Then write around it. It will come more easily as you do that.

For example:

Crystal is friendly, outgoing and a bit of a perfectionist which makes her want to get things right the first time before she jumps in. When faced with a new or unusual situation she can feel scared and unsure of her abilities yet others see her as well spoken, calm and capable of accomplishing whatever she sets her mind to.

It takes a bit of creativeness but a lot of it comes from the lore! I do agree that it seems so so daunting because it's a lot to take in, but the people here are really friendly and if you just jump right in a pick a race to play and grab a skin people will slowly start guiding you along, I know you don't feel right not making an app at first but it's actually a lot easier to play a character first before making an app. That way you can kinda figure out how you want the character to act around other people so you know how to write about them when looking at their personality!
 
Not at all, Qadir are quite cool and have a decent sized community with people like @WaterDruppel that can help you out with questions about them.
 
Iv been on Massive roughly 6 years. Role playing for a little less but... I don't have an application. Not sure if that's a bad thing but... doesn't bother me at least

The only problem is that I can't use the Discord app, and using Apple News for it works really badly!
 
A lot of people have MPM so your good! And yep! Just jump right in and maybe go say hi to people in the tavern and get the ropes going! And I suggest you hit up WaterDrupple for that Discord Link because joining communities really helps with learning the ropes and getting into rp. I suggest you join the big RP community discord -> https://www.massivecraft.com/discord-roleplay as well. (I think that's it at least..)

Aaaaand I just remembered it might be helpful for my character to have a name, is it bad to just use an Arabic name generator for it?
 
Have you tried getting Discord on your computer? It's free as well
 
I would recommend at least keeping discord in mind seeing as it's a key way of communication on massivecraft, no one uses Skype anymore due to its glitches- If you don't want to download it, then I'd recommend going to the discord website and logging in with an account there so you don't have to download it and you don't have to use it all the time. Though, I will warn you! Discord gets to be incredibly addictive -w- As for the character application, I could gladly help you make one once you are comfortable with your character and their personality! Welcome to massivecraft!
