• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

To what time should Massivecraft progress to over time?

So, I've been wondering, the world of Massivecraft has remained pretty technologically stagnant. However, with the recent world progression hinting at the addition of...
guns.

I was wondering, would/ should Massivecraft enter new eras? I'm not talking about becoming sci-fi overnight, or at all even. I was simply wondering what if Massivecraft entered new time periods? We've been in the renaissance for quite a while now. I want to know what kind of revolutions you want Massivecraft to expirience? Colonial times? Industrial revolution? Victorian era? 1920's? Or should we just stay put for now? Anywho, just a thought. Let me know how far you want to see Massivecraft progress overtime!

People often say that massive's "era theme" is medieval, but if you take a look at some of the lore and even the style of regalia itself (esspecially regalia v5), calling it medieval isn't exactly accurate. I know that our lore is mixed with fantasy elements so it's not super easy to pinpoint what our historical time period is, but I would consider massive's time period to be more around the age of exploration or even the early colonial period rather than medieval. Maybe late renaissance at the earliest.

Aloria is sort of the 1100's to the 1600's but without muskets or hand guns. I doubt guns will come into play in the future at all but seeing things progress towards the 1800's more would be kind of cool. Still without guns.

Remember to, the New Ceardian colonies which are essentially the newest Ailor settlements are in a colonial era setting. So there is that

Mesolithic to Iron Age, duh. I wanna see Dwarves have the iron fist they used to

Nope, part of the mystic of massive is it revolving around the medieval era, what other server do you see roman city's in one area and medieval castles and city's in another???

eh massives all over the place in terms of time and setting, but i would like to see the opportunity for charters/players etc to make technological advancements, or create inventions or tools that could be used by the everyday player

I'll agree yes at times it can seem massive is all over the place, but generally it depended on biome, the Roman Empire lasted give or take until the 1400's so their style of build was prevelant during the medieval era, when I think back at old massive maps, desert regions had either Arabian towns or roman builds, savanah had an odd Greek/ venetian architecture example Helvetica, snow biome had either dwarfen or vikingish/ medieval hybrid, plains had your stereotypical European medieval town or city, all in all an excellent mix in my opinion

It's time for the French revolution
We got the famine
We got the poverty
We got the collapsing empire
We got the growth of newer ideas
It's the time, wake up sheeple

Regalia's time period isn't all that off, I found out recently! I was talking about it with some friends a while ago.

Carriages, in real life, were created in the 15th century. Well, carriages just became reality on massive about a year or two ago. Guns, on the other hand, took from the mid 13th century to the late 18th century. This is correct, yes, as we're now beginning to progress in public knowledge / we're in the middle of the creation of guns, on Massivecraft. And, glass / stained glass was first used in windows between the 14th century to the 17th century.

So I'd like to assume massivecraft takes place, as of now, somewhere around the 15th and 16th century!

That said, if I can see/would like to see Massivecraft progress to any time in history, I'd have to say I'd like to see it gradually ascend to be at the late Industrial Era, to the early Victorian Era!

I'm gonna vote for none of the above.
A seperate roleplay as like a private pasttime project set in like, early 1900's era Aloria might be cool. Where planes and cars are just beginning to become things.
