What is in this thread?
All 'active' characters, grouped by race and affliction (aberrant condition).
What makes a character 'active'?
They must have an approved application.
They must have been played within the last week, with 1-2 weeks leeway granted to known cases.
Total population sample size, rawdata 644. Alt removal brought it to 502.
What makes an 'alt'?
People are limited to 2 characters per person, with few exceptions, such as AlphaInsomnia and Bunemma.
The first among these is guaranteed to be the one they last logged on as. The other is their most recent application, if abstractly 'deemed prominent' or 'seen in conversation' in RPcom and their forum posts.
How did you gather this information?
I used the subforum filter to reduce Character Applications to Approved Applications.
From there, I manually cross-verified each username with /seen to cross out inactives.
Some slight margin of error is to be expected, but nothing excessive.
Trends Since Last Time?
Most races are down due to better polltaking and alt consideration.
Ailor populations have declined with the departure of the initial Marienritter brigade.
Orc populations have increased but remain rather small.
Less Vampires, more Werebeasts, more Sorcerers. I didn't count Ritualists last time so IDK about those.
Lots more Isldar with their racial update. Excellent work to Lore Team.
Cielothar are generally up, as are Yanar, after the community strife they suffered.
Kathar have cemented their lead over Altalar with a clean percentage break. The Tordoves are to blame.

Frequently Asked Questions:
The Draconic subgrouping is Dragon Warriors, Archbloods, Primal Mages, and Primal Lineage.
The Pact subgrouping is Arken Pacters, but also fringe Possession cases, such as Soul Braids.
If your culture/race/etc is not on here, that's because it's too small to get a title on the chart.
Of course there are inaccuracies. I'm one person. But it should be in the end below 5-10% inaccuracy.
Why do I care about this?
Because it's interesting, and it shows the trajectory of rise and fall.
Any trivia for me?
Nope. I think the intricacies of this one are trivia enough. But if you ask me trivia-esque questions, and I get five or so, I'll set aside the time to answer all of them.
