• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

For those of you who don't know, Mojang is planning on changing the horse model in the upcoming 1.13 update. While this isn't set in stone yet, many people are upset by the new model, with them saying they prefer the old model. The new model is shown below on the right:

As you can see, the new model has bulkier legs, and in general looks less realistic. By keeping the old model in the Massivecraft Resource Pack, not only would the horses look better, but the staff wouldn't need to update the horse textures. There are already some 3D models in the resource pack, already, so it wouldn't be an entirely new addition.

Like I said, keep in mind that the horse model isn't 100% set in stone, and with enough community feedback, may be reverted back to its original design. However, I'm just getting this suggestion out there in case the change is made officially.

Thanks for reading! Post your feedback below, and have a Massive day!

I prefer the new model over the old one. While yes, the old model is less detailed, any texture pack can use pixel magic to make the model look more realistic, even though the shape is the same.

Plus riding the newer model actually puts your butt on the horse, instead of hovering around the neck region like a jockey. I've always found that odd to look at, and glad the new model remedies that visual eyesore.

The one to the left looks a lot better. (wait, whose left? MINE? YOURS? :O)

Considering its possible to give mobs models now, it might be interesting to do some major overhauls to the looks of mobs in general. IE: You can give pigs and cows little snouts now, etc, to make them look more realistic. Would be a nice little bit of work, but a cool addition.

Mojang wants to change it because the original models were made by the creator of the Mo'Creatures mod, DrZhark, whom Notch worked with to create the Horse Update, imo. The new models are awful.

EDIT: The Mo'Creatures mod has essentially the same model but more x32 textures compared to the vanilla horse mob, which would prompt some to try to make a different model. They clearly didn't succeed here as the possible new model is as mentioned god awful.

I don't see much difference tbf, Minecraft has changed soooooo much over the years, that this change will soon be forgotten

I kinda want these new animals just to laugh at their disturbance.
