The coalition army from the Dragenthal Lordship, colloquially called the Red Army, arrived in Perfwenn at the early dawn on the 12th of June, 302. The Red Army, contrary to the First Army (The Kade Host) was a very diverse and wildly opposing force. The Red host, supplying 3 baronies, consisted mostly of men at arms. The White family contributes 3 baronies equally, mostly mercenaries from the private armies of the White family. Countess Luthien Duchamp joined herself as well with 4 baronies, the regiments referred to as the "Witch Hunters", favoring crossbows and leather armor over conventional soldier armor. Further, The Nava 3 baronies under Johnathan Nava and 2 baronies under Lengar Paloin joined the host with regulars. Finally 1 barony worth of Cavalry from the Pileran lands joined under Olivia Pileran. In total, the Regalian force counted 1,800 soldiers versus the 1,000 Elven warriors.

The deployment started very orderly, troops deploying on all flanks and lining up in a colorful rainbow of barony troops. The Red army also distinguishes itself from the other Regalian armies in that it had the largest host of Nobility with it, mostly civilians. The Red family supplied a large battle tent on a hill overlooking the battle, a large red cloth structure with all the comforts of nobility. Offered tea and petit Ithanian pies, Yvette Red sat at the head, with other nobility like Olivia Pileran next to her on a large table. As the barony leaders approached the planning table, Alistair Red planned to speak up, if somewhat shakingly from the weight of his set of armor and the impending battle. As Alistair opened his mouth to start giving directions, Countess Luthein Duchamp raised her claymore and smacked Alistair on the side of his hip with the flat end of the blade, causing him to cry out in pain and fall onto the floor. She scoffed at him, before dragging her claymore onto the table stating "Any objections?" As the other war leaders shook their heads in silence, Luthien started moving the pawns around and directing the troops in an envelop formation.

The battle soon proceeded, Luthien brilliantly making use of the Pileran Lancers to break the fray, followed up with a pincer movement from the infantry. Using her own witch hunters on the center fold, Luthien broke through the central line without any effort, causing the entire Elven line to collapse in on itself. With the screams of the soldiers behind her, Luthien raised her claymore, yelling to press victory. The charge was ear deafening, even the nobility at the Red family tent saw their tea cups shaking, the soft rattling of the porcelain and silver spoons ringing around them. As Luthien charged over the last hill, she was met with a small barricade holding several Elves stringing bows in her direction. Letting go of their arrows, they flunk one by one in Luthien's direction. Charging forward, she was first hit in her left shoulder, then hit in her right shoulder, then hit in her left leg just as she reached the barricade. With one fell swoop, she brought her claymore up and smashed it down on the barricade, the wood splintering and crushing the Elves underneath. She sat down, supporting herself on her claymore next to the barricade as the other soldiers rushed past her attacking the routing Elves. Further down the line, Vurguk Ul'Avak was wounded from a sword slash to the shoulder, a minor would that would not deter him from participating in following battles.

Despite the agitated expression of the Reds over Luthien taking over command forcibly, forcing Alistair to the rear guard, Luthien was carried back in on a stretcher, the arrows still lodged into her, and the claymore being dragged by one arm hanging over the edge, she was met with a loud cheering. After the battle was over, the nobility prepared a cordial letter to the crown prince, informing them Perfwenn had been captured with the loss of less than 67 soldiers, meanwhile eradicating nearly the entire Elven army defending the location. Jonathan Nava and Lengar Paloin strongly held the left flank, following orders perfectly and executing them with grace. The left flank was less successful, Maxim White fought averagely, and Vurguk Ul'Avak was wounded, but the flank still succeeded in it's goals. Alistair on the rear flank meanwhile was nearly hit by an arrow that flew inches away from his face. He did not participate further in the battle after that.

May I ask why Wyll Paloin was not mentioned at all? Are we only counting family heads as Nobles for the purposes of the rolls and the write-up?

Roll results for those interested are as follows.

Luthien incapacitated Alistair Red at the start of the battle and seized command, the 50-50+10 roll for that passed with 72.

The battle is a glorious victory for the Red army, rolling 9 out of 50-50 +8 +5 +5 -10

Luthien sustains an average wound in battle and is incapacitated for the next following battle with 50-50 -25 -5 +10 rolling 12

Jonathan Nava and Lengar Paloin roll 83 and 85 and thus have a heroic effort, Maxim White has an average effort with 58, Vurguk Ul'Avak receives a minor wound but can still participate in a future battle and Alistair White barely avoids getting wounded with a 32 roll.

Ah, the glorious Red Army.

As Elizabeth sits at her desk in the city of Beaumesnil, she looks at the letters of the victory.
Elizabeth moves to open the letter, brightly smiling, knowing it was Alister and Yvette their army, although
her joy didn't last long. Within a minute or two, she found out that Duchamp had taken over the command of the battle.

'Well..'

Elizabeth stood up, and walked towards her wardrobe.

'Jonathen, Get in here! Arrange my carriage and make the ship ready to leave, at once!' She scoffed.

As there was no responce, she yelled again. Now knowing that something was rather out of the picture. As Elizabeth
made her way to the door, she could hear some moaning, as she rushed out of her room, finding Jonathen on the floor,
having slipped on the marble stairs.

'Oh Lord.. Darling, Are you alright?!'

It seemed like her trip to the Duchamp had to wait.

Eh, Vurgruk would say, "How was I suppose ta know dat Captians ain't suppose ta fight first line? 'n Da best meat is in da front!"

OOC:

A frustrated, irritated, and disappointed sigh could be heard as you read this. Not belonging to you, such sound courses as a poison through the atmosphere, reaching the ears of those who feel responsible towards it, and triggering negative thoughts.

Of course! let us thank Vurgruk, Maxin, Lengar, and Jonathan for not getting arrows riddled through them! Oh, and Luthien...
