• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

The topic I'd like to talk about deals with Qadir Construct mages. More specifically, their very odd learning curve. To put it simply: Qadirs level up by multiples of ten, and not the skewed method for other magics.

The benefit to this level up system was that A Qadir could learn the Expert and Archmage levels. This makes sense, as the Qadir invented this magic school. But when it comes to actually making a Techmage, the level system does the exact opposite unless you specifically make a Qadir that is over the age of 90.

Let's take a 40 year old Qadir. they are a Techmage, and have learned 5 Engram Spells, with the next one beign learned in 10 years. A Dwarf Techmage is also 40, but they have learned 6 spells in this time, with the next one coming in 5 years. the Wadir will always be lagging behind from ages 30 to 90, which limits the amount of spells able to be learned during these middle aged years.

I think the simply solution is to redo the level up system for Qadir to make it more balanced for Qadir Techmages. I will link a quick chart with my proposed levels:

Qadir represents the proposed levels, Alorian is every other race, and Current Qadir is obvious. While some rounding could be done to make the numbers cleaner, this leveling system would make Qadir construct mages less crippled.

Thoughts?

Bumping this as I believe it's important, it seems to be an innate flaw of the current system and the alternative @FireFan96 offers fixes this.
