• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

Yeah I see to much sence in only having pure race factions (some exeptions ofcourse) and that the server would be much better that way.
Why are their so many mixed race factions?
Is it because factions want the most members and don't care about roleplay?
Are mixed factions just that? non roleplayers on a roleplay server?

Pleas post your feedback below?
like if you are a mixed faction I would like reasons for why you are one.

Being race exclusive would be very stupid in most cases. All races have weaknesses, and in a pure race faction this would be very easy to exploit.
In a mixed race faction each race provides something different, covering the weaknesses of other races, as well as providing their own strengths. Like Yanar being able to heal allies while holding a poppy, or the Maiar being able to breathe underwater as well as being much faster while submerged, the Dakkar are unaffected by lava, etc.

I run a first- stop faction, which basically means the Noobs of the server come to live in my towns and get a feel for the server. Thus, I don't limit the races much, because of the variety in towns. I send them where they would fit in the most.
I normally say that Elves, Humans, Yanars and Tigrans are preferred. I tell all Maiars and Dakkars to change ASAP because finding a good facility for them is rare. Vampirism is outlawed. Orcs are only accepted if my character, Shayin can understand their speech. (xD)

People choose to recruit all races is because they want an active community opposed to a role play one. Many ask the question, why focus on role play when we could have a active community? If you only recruit a certain race then you're limiting a lot of players out of your faction purely based on that race thing you choose. I don't really see the point in excluding vampires since they also have things to offer your faction (My right hand man was a vampire once). If you recruit multiple races I suggest you just give everyone the same type of houses and let them make it race friendly to them. My faction once had race specific locations in the past (Prior to me joining) and that didn't turn out so well since each needed so much room and most wouldn't house many members at all.

@Alj23,
This actually belongs in General, as it really isn't a personal player announcement and is more of a discussion. Moving it there now.

N'lisse is perfectly fine being race specific. I mean, yeah, there's like no nagas. But I like small factions, and it doesn't seem to hinder us at all. The pro of the naga is poison resistance. All of us having poison resistance isn't really a weakness. It's a pretty big buff. I dunno bout you guys, but I like race specific factions.

I have a mixed race faction because my faction is based around a religion of which accepts all races in order to manipulate each races unique skills and use them for our gods benefit. Saying that all factions should be one race is very restricting in an rp aspect. There are plenty of opportunities to have a one race faction but at the same time Regalia itself is a multiracial community ruled by one race, so saying one race factions are better for rp is kinda of hypocritical if you rp in Regalia were you mix with plenty of different races who may not be citizens, but they do indeed live there.
Also many villages are multiracial factions as well seeing as they usually aren't restricted by racism. Of course a peaceful village probably wouldn't accept an Avaar or an Orc, but a human based village accepting elves, dwarves, Chi'i, ect would be perfectly natural seeing as they are all generally humanoid races. An orc clan accepting a tigran, or Thylan for slaves would be natural as well. Over all there are plenty of perfectly fine RP explanations for factions full of a vast selection of races, just many people who own multiracial factions aren't in it for the rp.

We are a mixed faction because we do not feel the need to outcast any races Except most vampires and we are actually a rolplay faction, Regalia is mixed race, just main human, also most pvp factions are undead dwarf and orc :P

Like most have said.. I have played in mixed factions and I prefer them over restricted ones.. Even had vampires in the faction too.. Each race has their own unique bonus.. maiar are good for water exploration and attacks from water.. drakkar can go into lava filled places and be fine.. humans to have better crop harvest.. Etc.

From what Ive seen, a great deal of facs that do this (not all of them mind you) stem from having no true RP theme, short of having 5 members and one is calling himself "king"

Wait, the race specific or non race specific? I mean, N'lisse has more than five members. It has a strong RP theme too.

The Aranea Hive is a faction for traders, builders and adventurers. Everyone is welcome as long as he contributes his part to the faction. We aren't a human built faction and live with the rules of nature: "The strongest will survive!"
If Thylans and Ur want to fight each other, no one will intefere, because it's their problem.

Besides this, it can't be wrong to recruit multiple races, so you can always choose from a wide variety for your dinner. ;3

Okyno is a mixed race faction mostly because we don't have any scruples on who joins because we accept all people equally and have towns in which most different races can exist on their own. Terra Venite has, at it's core, an elven district. Citta Prota is a mostly human district, but accepts all other races. Docktown was a human/Qadir town that also accepted everyone. Moonlight Shores is elven with some human homes. Astapor is dwarven with human and elven housing, but accepts all races.

Having many races allows people you adapt to situations. Dakkar can mine with less fear, Maiar can work underwater, humans are great for general use, dwarves are miners, elves are archers, orcs are swordsmen, and so and so forth. Having only 1 race limits in an extreme manner your roleplay, activity, and population (case in point: Theradin - the most inactive faction ever, all elven). I don't think it's worth it.

Diffrent races? Oh yes! I have an tigran rug in my bedroom and some dakkars down in the basement providing warmt.
