Just thought that since everybody is starting from square one, this topic is worthy of a civil discussion.
MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.
Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.
Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.
Explain what this was for me?Just thought that since everybody is starting from square one, this topic is worthy of a civil discussion.
If you didn't damage a player in the past 30 seconds I believe it was, you'd keep your items on death.
I feel like this might have unintended consequences for the basic survival experience, like dying at the hands of monsters. I think losing items on death is a good reason to avoid death and not frivolously insert ourselves into dangerous predicaments.
If it would only apply to those killed by players or have recently taken damage from players before dying, that wouldn't necessarily be an issue.I feel like this might have unintended consequences for the basic survival experience, like dying at the hands of monsters. If you Can't accept that you'll die to players then why do you even play factions or any mmo to begin with? Adding pacifist back in is a terrible ideaIf it would only apply to those killed by players or have recently taken damage from players before dying, that wouldn't necessarily be an issue.
There's a difference between dying while you're trying to upgrade from a dirt hut and dying while defending an established base.If you Can't accept that you'll die to players then why do you even play factions or any mmo to begin with? Adding pacifist back in is a terrible idea

I'm with Openpit here - someone peacefully building shouldn't lose all their stuff because a raider in full god showed up and decided to take a shit on their day.
Better? You mean easier? Again why do you play factions if you don't expect raiders? Maybe a towny would suit you better for what you're wanting your gameplay to be like. Being raided is part of the gamemode you play just as mobs and weather are. When you purchase a game do you complain about a big part of the mechanics of it? No you don't because that was advertised as being a part of the game as pvp with factions is.I agree with this personally. In the past I've had issue with trying to build then just being killed by Raptum specifically. Thankfully it was much easier to get items on the old server seeing as everything was placed in shops and the sort! But now on the reboot it's only much harder to be given the items and supplies back unless you're already set up in a faction with everything you need.
It's better to simply be able to die and loose power rather than all of your items at once. Especially when you have aomsometh of personal value you to you. Maybe an item someone bought for you and gave to you or a sword you spend ages farming for.
Although I am not a pvper myself, I can appreciate the fact that others are.Better? You mean easier? Again why do you play factions if you don't expect raiders?
