• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

Long time ago (like over a year and a half ago) I used to build what I thought were these really awesome futuristic looking, self contained, self sustaining towers to live in. It was great... that is until zero day happened... least that's what I call it. That was the day my massivecraft world came tumbling down. I was totally unaware of the whole "only build medieval style stuff" rule so everything I built was in the style of something like bladerunner, massive futurey looking buildings. They're what I love. Like the kind of building that a stranger might stumble upon in game and be so taken aback by it's sheer size that they automatically hear that horn sound from inception. Anyway, that didn't end well. Zero day came one day and I logged on to find my creations reduced to piles of stone. I was a little upset, destroyed and burned everything that I owned and rage quit for about a year.

Okay but that's beside the point. That's just some background. Obviously I came back and I've been back for a while now. I'm only saying all this cause I have a question. See i love the server and I'm having fun but all my futuristic creations have been forced underground and that's frustrating cause when I have an itch I can't scratch it.

All this to ask, would it be possible for me to build a mega tower somewhere on the farthest edges of a map where no one would ever even think about venturing? I've seen some pretty cool stuff out in those parts and to my knowledge they never got moderated. I mean I could try and build a medieval style mega tower but... I don't really think that's possible. Idk, I was bored and figured I'd ask.

I would suggest doing this in the Creative world. While it isn't exactly what you are asking this is the best option for you, then you could always link coordinates in an art showcase so people can come look at it IG. That is what I would advise for you, because attempting to do it again would lead to the same results. The rules are set up that way for consistency.

Can you post examples of the building style you're interested in? There are many talented builders here and some may be able to translate a futuristic style into a more appropriate medieval style while still keeping a semblance of the aesthetics you're interested in.

I would suggest a medieval exterior and then just having a future interior. Overall though, having medieval styled builds is really what makes massive what it is. You can have equally amazing things in the medieval style, especially if they are more fantasy-ish.

alternatively, you can also build futuristic buildings underwater. So long as it isn't visible by the dynmap, it can be built. I remember swimming around only to find a submarine out in the ocean, which was an interesting find.
