• Inventory Split Incoming

    MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

    Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

    Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

Today I decided to log on, make a faction with what little regals I have left, and my goal is to at least bring some spark back when it comes to factions and pvp.

Why am I typing this out? For you to do the same, inactive players who still visit this forum, try and give it a chance, massive was fun for what it was and it saddens me that most of my friends are inactive now and don't play, but I want to finally come back and rebuild whatever my name held to players.

It's a long shot to ask others to do the same, but hey, give it a try.
 
I like your attitude Shane. If I have anything to recommend, it's try to teach your new members about the game and the server and how to survive and exist in the faction world, so even if you decide to stop playing again, they might still keep playing and go on to create their own faction or become part of one and do good stuff there.

Only way the factions side of things will bounce back in my opinion. People creating an environment that fosters positive and self sustaining factions gameplay.

If you still check the forums, that means you haven't given up hope. If all the people that wrote fucking ten page narrative essays on the forums about their opinions on factions actually started to play factions, then it wouldn't be boring.

That's not really within my capabilities you know? I've tried to make multiple comebacks but every time I do I find out more of the people that made this so fun for me are gone and the Faction worlds are even more baron.

I'm a Factions player... don't even really care about the PVP aspect honestly but if there's nobody in Factions I have nothing to do and no reason to log in.

Perhaps when some of the worlds are deleted and Factions are forced to be in close quarters this will improve... I honestly don't think it will because it doesn't matter how few worlds there are if nobody is in them anyway but as always I will give it another shot. What can I say I'm a glutton for disappointment. :/

almost all of the people I used to play with are gone, I don't even have contact with them. all the way back to the first player who made my first faction with me, and this kid named Dragonstuffs. The point is that you will miss all of the people you were friends with who moved on. I honestly miss swift and snakeeeer the most and I did manage to get them back for a brief moment, but the point is making new friends. I made wrath with two people 2 years ago thinking I would get bored and just quit again, but I became friends with those two and we gained more and more friends as we moved on until we became a big pvp faction and those times were enjoyable. I say come back with your experience, don't search for the old (I still have issues finding perks with the now) but search for the pros in the new and help change the server to the best version it was to you.
 
I've recently started playing again aswell, It is stale currently so I'm all for this revival.

I know your pain mate. Literally everyone I used to play with - from ThomasOverMany (got me started here) to more recent friends like Epicsause and ShayH3X are all either gone, inactive, or ghosting away. That's why you've gotta be willing to find new people to make it fun. And much like yourself, I am a factions player and not really PvP, so the dead survival worlds are killing my will to play.

Glad that you're gonna give it another shot. I'll be online fairly often I hope, so maybe we'll be able to chat in-game.
 
Most I started with or ran with are gone and there are really no "big names" around as often anymore, but hopefully with the amount of worlds decreasing the atmosphere will get more exciting!
 
Factions, roleplay, creative, PvP... we should all have a positive outlook on what the server could be with our efforts. The biggest thing is to simply NOT TURN AWAY NEW PLAYERS! We were all noobs once. Take some time, just 10 minutes, even, and show someone the ropes! Turn them to the massivecraft wiki! Teach them /bp and /wb! Explain some roleplay basics and point them to the new player tavern! It's our job to show new people what the server is in all its glory! This is all you need to do to prevent us seeming like a big ball of toxic people and confusing, unspoken rules.

True, but all I ask is to not be toxic towards them right away just because they did something they didn't know wasn't supposed to happen, like interrupting a 1v1. Speaking of which, if you're gonna have one of those, you can find a more private place in spawn to do it, or use a related nick, or something that alerts other players so you don't end up yelling at each other. In my opinion.
 
Welcome back Shaneski101 and all the gang from "the good old days" I have returned as well. I have soon many memories here it is hard to stay away. Good luck and if I can help in any way give me a shout in game.
