• Inventory Split Incoming

    MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

    Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

    Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

We all talk about our good and insane moments on this wonderful server, but in this thread we are going to look at the worse side of things. Embarrassing memories. We've all been on Massive long enough where we have to have at least one, so I thought we could compile our worst moments together in a cringe fest of hilarity.

After all, this server has been around for so long that many of us have grown with it, and with growth comes a little bit of regret at times. We all have something we are ashamed of, but why not get it off our chests? I want to see all those crazy moments that you cringe at the thought of, or recognize as silly even if you did enjoy them. It's always fun to see people share stories over the server.

I'm not talking in general terms either. We all had a rough start where our characters and roleplay weren't fleshed out or consisting of any logical sense. That's a part of growth. Here I'm talking about specific moments of shame which can be related to your first stories on the server.

For me, I've had a lot of crazy moments over the years. You see I was into exploration and finding various plots based off of that. While I did a lot of stupid things, I look back on them fondly. After all, fighting werewolves when you're 11 years old is a pretty big adventure no matter how dumb it truly was back then. However, I did like interacting with staff, who about four years ago where definitely a lot older than me. My worst memory was when I interacted with MonMarty in the original tavern, coming up with an idea on how the Seraph Codex could lead to the greatest discovery of Regalian history. He realized I had no idea what I was talking about. He may not remember this, but I certainly do. It sticks out a lot, and that is one of my biggest regrets. Trying to find sense in something I was coming up with on the fly.

So that's mine, but I'm curious to see what you guys have to say. After all, our rp community is so diverse we should have a variety of stories chronicling cringe over the years.
 
The Great Vodka Incident.

It was Great. And it had Vodka. And it was an incident never to be repeated. Even I do not recall the full scale of this epic tale of drunken debauchery. Something about my Tigran char getting really drunk/high with some homosexual character and some other guy, and then we eventually wound up passing out in the middle of some castle in Ithania.

And we got the Vodka in the Golden Willow.

Good times.
 
Embarrassing... hrm... tbh, I don't have many things that are actually embarrassing. Some stupid things (like that time Hisoka joined the Solaris Insurrection, basically declaring war on Magnanimous when they were the big bad PvP faction of Massive) but not many embarrassing things... If I had to pick, it would be when MonMarty[Staff], Imboring[NotStaff], and myself[NeverStaff] were in a skype call (or was it TS? idk, it was years ago) to discuss my then-anti-staff attitude. Basically I was an idiot and realized it while talking to Mon. Hence supporting staff since in most things xD

But yeah, I don't really embarrass myself much in games. I save that for real life :P
 
I emoted something, that was actually super harmless in roleplay, over on the server event broadcast, in which out of context, it looked like ERP.
 
One time, I was talking to a high noble and they said something like "Tomen or Blahblahablh" After offering me tea, so I said tonem and it turned out to be some heretical house and I died inside when I realised it.
 
Running out of the Magnanimus castle, killing Buzhly in like less than ten seconds, then realizing I was /vanished because I was game staff and forgot to turn it off. 10/10 would recommend for entertainment.
 
Not embarassing because I have no sense of embarassment,but in my scrub days,I was stuck in a pm for a month,I had no clue what to do.Massive is complicated in the first few months.

Maybe even worse was doing the nooby Assassin's Creed jumping on roofs and such.

Oh gosh, those were some good times.
 
I made up some magic rock for my first character that alerted you to someone being in danger or something like that.
Then when I watched MonMarty building the docks with W/E and later told him IC he did a good job directing construction... XD
How I tried to rp as my Faction's king and reason about how the Emporor's right to rule was divine, or something like that.
I learned how to roleplay reasonably quickly though, so don't have many of these.
 
I had a faction member ignored for some reason, and for an hour I thought they were just being quiet when they might've been talking to me. Also @65jes89 makes me embarrassed.
 
I was walking around the tavern after my character had woken up and gotten out of her house after celebrating the night before only to realize that the reason why people kept turning towards me was because i have forgotten to put my clothes of my 1.8 skin back on and was in my bra and underwear trying to talk to people and get in on an rp...

I once spent an hour on a tigran skin, used it and realized it didn't have clothes on.

XD The classical missing clothes. I have had that happen with ears on an Ur.
 
That moment when you realize you're walking down the streets of Regalia as a derby qadir sporting nothing but his underpants,an absurd shade of brown and eyes above his eyebrows
Also that time when I ran into two guys wearing the same identical ultra popular lame medieval rouge skin.And tried to subtly guide them into an identical triplets plot.If we're being liberal in the definition of "subtly" and possibly "guide"…And "Plot"

Hey, hey, Ebony was awesome in a cringe way. I can say that about all our early characters. (Even though for me it was a earlier version of Joseph.)

It's good to laugh at your beginnings.

Haha thanks. Ohgolly. XD Joseph was a bit of a mess in the beginning. I was a huge mess in the beginning. haha.
 
When another faction told me I should change my flag because it was the same as theirs, so then we had a war and killed a bunch of people... and it turned out that we actually had different flags.

A mess? How can being one of the only people to see Baver's house burn down be a mess? And how I had that amulet which would lead me to fame! I thought off werewolves in a burning tavern, wolves in a flooded bank. How is that a mess?

I can't say I've had many from the 3.7 years I've played but I'll share one from late 2012. I remember, my old friend "Milo" would constantly make fun of my sister and one day I grew tired of it. He always talked about using X-RAY, so I went and reported him to the staff. They asked where the tunnels that he dug were at. I told them and of course they went searching. The next day I log on to be interrogated by a staff member for them finding my X-RAY tunnels, and he ended up not getting caught and I got banned from November 2012 till January 2013 for being caught using hacks. Ah memories...
 
There was a time when I was heavily involved with faction relations, I remember one particular event. I think it was around two years ago when it had happened. There was this guy named PurpleMustard, A soon to be enemy of my most trusted ally. I had joined his faction to gather intel and rig their portals so that multiple factions could teleport inside his base allowing his enemies to attack from the inside.

Since perms were restricted, I built trust in the faction and had gotten to the member position in the faction. A few days later I talked to the leader, he said that he was willing to make me officer in his faction. Right afterwards he went AFK on the TeamSpeak server muting his headphones and turning off his mic, and since my trusted ally was allied with PurpleMustard (Soon to backstab him for various appropriate reasons). I invited that Ally to join the chat and talk to me. He had joined the channel along with my AFK leader for a few minutes, then had to switch from using my PC to using my iPhone for TeamSpeak so I could prepare my dinner. We were about 20 minutes in conversation and I brought up the topic of PurpleMustard making me an Officer and how it would enable me to expose his portals letting people nonstop raid his faction. Allowing for the most successful backstabbing I would've seen in the game.

Erm.... this is where it gets a little awkward. While I was talking to this ally, I did not realise that my leader (PurpleMustard) had unmuted his headphones and his mic (Apparently my ally hadn't noticed either). Hearing first hand about our plan to Backstab him, I was kicked from the faction and killed. Followed by a good minute or two of obscene cursing and him leaving the teamspeak channel. Needless to say... my efforts were wasted, I ended up factionless, my biggest ally wouldn't speak to me for weeks and I wasted about two weeks of espionage.

That's my most embarrassing moment on Massivecraft haha
 
How about that time I got rekt in full enchanted dia armor by an unarmed guy in a speedo skin... Yeah. He had no armor either. In my defense I was typing. XD I did kill him before that though.
 
I was 12. I played an arachne that knew perfect common, could spit projectile acid, was immortal, and could go through prison bars. i was at greygate and caused a terrible commotion with countless accounts of god rp and powergame and monmarty told us to enjoy our terribad roleplay. lmao

One time I accidently told an abortion joke in general chat. But my entire massive craft life is an embarrassment.
