• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

Theres a lot of useless lore items that mobs drop so my idea is to make custom recipes for them like using them in alchemy potions or something.

Ex. Sheeps drop Pure Wool sometimes. Maybe there can be a custom recipe so you can craft a few Pure Wool into a special lore armor.
or you can craft lore potions but you need to specifically use the purple lored items. Or you can change the custom recipes that Massive already has to include lore items. so the rarer items like beacons or saddles will need to be crafted with mob drops.

And maybe it could be like you need to combine different mob drops to make other items. like for example if pigmen dropped a gold nugget lore item and witches drop a apple lore item, you can craft them into a special lored gold apple (but it doesnt work like a vanilla gapple) that can be used to make a lore potion.

That would take a lot of coding, and may not be a priority, but you have my support.
+1 on this.

One alternative that should be possible would be to use a more unconventional crafting method. For example, you could click on an npc and a menu would open. This menu would have multiple items listed and you would see the crafting requirements listed under the item. Clicking on an item with all ingredients in your inventory would prompt you with a crafting confirmation. Could something like this be implemented in the foreseeable future?

It could be implemented. But not in the foreseeable future.

This whole suggestion goes into the topic of rewriting item behavior, crafting and other cosmetic aspects. A plugin which would handle all this (and could technically allow crafting with lore items) would need a lot of time to develop and thought put into.

As Madus has put it, we are not able to work on such a plugin in the foreseeable future.

At this time, based on the responses from Tech Staff, this suggestion is rejected.

Thank you for taking the time to propose something new for the server though!
