• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

The Lore Nublet panel is a decisively deceptively named panel that will in fact, not be occupied by noobs, but certainly helpful for the continued implementation of new/rewritten lore. On the average, I myself release the most lore on the running go when it comes to restructures/rewrites, but I (and other Lore Staff) tend to have a verbose manner of writing, and we are also blindsided by our own expertise of the lore. Things that sound logical or normal to us, might sound extremely complicated to the average roleplayers on the server. As such, I would like to create a "Nublet Panel", a skype group chat with a bunch of average MassiveCraft Roleplayers who would like to help out by pre-checking new lore releases/rewrites for any confusing content.

The basic job would be to do the following:

  1. I post a Google Document Link in the Skype chat.
  2. For 24 hours, that link will remain valid and open for members to open.
  3. When opened, the members of the chat are asked to read it thoroughly.
  4. When done reading, the members are asked to use the google doc feature comment on parts that they found confusing or need further explanation upon, or where they want to ask more questions about.
  5. When done reading, the members are asked to use the google doc feature comment on parts that they deem unfair, unnecessary or just plain not-fun in roleplay, and suggest potential alternatives.
  6. The document will then be taken offline and pulled back into the Lore staff for further improvement.
These are the requirements for this skype chat:
  1. You need to be 16 years old at least.
  2. You need to have a skype account you log onto every day.
  3. You need to be prepared to help by reading new lore releases or rewrites.
  4. You need to NOT have a "buff" understanding of the lore. That means to say, you need to not read the wiki daily or have a super intricate understanding of our lore.
These are the limitations:
  1. You are expected to remain helpful and somewhat active. Inactive members will be removed.
  2. You are expected to care for all documents equally within reasonable amount time. it's fine if you skip a few, or are too busy with school or private matters, but if I see you only review documents to do with your Elf character, I will remove you.
  3. You are expected to keep information of writing secret to only the Lore Staff and the members of the group. Lore writing that is not on the wiki yet is not canon or valid in-game and spreading of pre-release information will often only confuse players unnecessarily. You receive the ability to get an early scoop of lore releases and the ability to help us make lore easier to understand to the average player, but in return you are asked to not publicize every little detail about a future release. I will not beat down on you sharing some scoops with your close friends, but don't start boasting on the server or forum about the upcoming lore.
  4. You will not receive official recognition for being a member of the Lore Nublet Panel, nor will you receive any ranks. Maybe in the future I will consider granting rare lore items to reward players for assistance, but this is just an early prototype and I want to see how it works out.
How to apply:
  • Contact me on Skype if I have you already. (if I show up as not-added, do not message me. I have messages from non-contacts disabled for security reasons).
  • If you do not have me on skype, send me a PM over the forum with your Skype username.
Keep in mind this panel is currently not official. I will be the only Lore Staff member making use of it, but others may join me in the future if this test is successful.

I reserve the right to bar individuals from the Nublet Panel for the following reasons:
  • Past server offenses
  • Past disrespectful cooperation/interaction with staff.
  • Your lacking English skills.

I am closing this thread. Due to overwhelming interest I have enough members now.

First iteration of the nublet panel has failed due to uncontrolled leaking of information. I will reboot it at a later time with increased criteria and restrictions.
