In 308 AC, House Latimer was ennobled by the emperor for their efforts as owners of land. Shortly afterwards, due to a run in with an aberrant who threatened the life of the patriarch, Abelhard Latimer, the Red Leopard Houseguard was established to combat the threat, and keep the family safe.

- Nobility may have a House Guard utilizing half plate armor but no helmet and non-military grade weapons.
- The House Guard must defend the lives and keep safe the nobles they serve from harm.
- The House Guard may detain any attackers that attempt to harm the nobles they serve and transfer them to the Violet Order.
- The House Guard must act to defend, not to attack others. They may not draw swords for any reason but for defense of their noble patron.

Most of the Red Leopards are aware that they were chosen from jobs and duties which either already afforded them combat experience or another fearsome reputation, because the group primarily exists for show. Discipline is strict, but combat is often neglected due to the backgrounds the Red Leopards are plucked from. The main goal of the Red Leopards is to protect their Nobles from the harm of reputation first and foremost, followed by secondary goal of ensuring no physical harm reaches them in the first place. There is no commander of the guard yet.
