Well, I guess Ill introduce myself then.
My name is Arda and I hail from the beautiful landscape of Turkey. I adore fantasy, especially medieval or LotR type of fantasy and I fancy myself somewhat of a roleplayer. I randomly came across this server while browsing, and I decided to give it a try! After a few hours of devouring the lore on the wiki and a few minutes in-game, Im full of excitement, and more importantly, questions. If any veteran player or staff could spare a few minutes of their time to answer these questions, I would very much appreciate it!

• So, first off I want to ask if multiple characters are allowed. I like experimenting, and it would be very inconvenient if I had to give up my previous character to try out a new style.
• Ive come across a phrase in the wiki saying that lightning mages are rare/uncommon. Would it stand out too much to have the ability?
• I see there are 2 Character Application Review sub-forums, namely the Peer Review and the Staff Review. Are threads posted in the former also approved and made official? Or is it just for discussion?
• Is there a calendar? Do months, weeks and days have special names? How many days are there in a week, in a month and in a year?
• Persons of power and high nobility characters are granted by permission, but I havent seen anything about minor nobility. Can someone clarify?
• On the wiki page on the Cataclysm it is mentioned that a mage can only learn and master a single school of magic. ("their magic became limited to one school") This could mean a single category, like Elemental Magic, or a single type like Fire Magic. Can someone clarify?

Im sorry if any of my questions have already been answered somewhere on the wiki or the forums. I couldnt read everything and in that case dropping a link would suffice. Thanks!

Yes.

I don't think so, or it would be hidden. The reason they're "rare" is because Regalia isn't very welcoming of them.

Peer review is just that. Other players can give you tips and stuff. Staff review is where you can get them approved.

• Is there a calendar? Do months, weeks and days have special names? How many days are there in a week, in a month and in a year?

Don't trust me on this, but I think it's the same as IRL. Not sure, though.

Again, not sure. I think I have heard of a character knowing both strings and light, but still, don't take my word for it.

If you want a lightning mage, go for it.

Peer Review is for your friends and buddies to review your character application. It won't be approved though. If you submit it through Staff Review, then a staff person will look at it and make corrections so you can edit. Once you make the corrections, you will be approved, unless if further corrections are needed. Approved applications means that they are lore compliant to this server.

So far, I don't think there is a calendar. I may be wrong however, so you'd have to ask someone if you want to indulge yourself into calendars and time. Right now, it'd be August 1, 303 A.C.

Regalia follows an aristocratic system, ( http://wiki.massivecraft.com/Aristocracy ). 'Commoner' families, as in, families without titles, can be made an played by almost anyone. You can get your family approved to get them officially canonized in the lore. However, nobility are the families that have at least a Marchdom. There are varying types, from the lowest (Marchdom) to the highest (Lordship). These also include Duchies and etc. To become a noble, you must apply for an existing one, or start as a commoner family and slowly build your way up through the ranks.

A mage can learn a single 'school', with 'school' being a specific type. There are subtypes of magic. For example, Light Magic has three subtypes - Blinding, Healing, and Barrier. It is generally most accepted to pick one school, and one specialization, though I'm fairly sure you can take two specializations, though you will hardly be as powerful in either.
