Established in early August, 309 AC by Imperial Master of Prowess, Duke Stålvinge Nordhjem, the Imperial Fighter's Guild (also called the Regalian Fighter's Guild) incorporates the best parts of armed and unarmed combat in a social environment. Indiscriminate in methods of hiring, the Guild attempts to incorporate the seasoned and most elite of duelists alongside underdogs with decent potential. Naturally, competitors will win a champion's purse per victory in friendly competitions, and betting amongst the Nobility by making use of the Imperial Betting Society will prove lucrative for any who have a keen eye for fighting potential.

The Guild is to be housed near the Arena Court, home to a fighting ring, gym and even a medical ward for fighters that exert themselves too far. Any and all members of the guild will be given free access to these facilities, though use of the ring should preferably be booked, to save your fellow competitors any disappointment. Betting is limited to one competitor per tournament, whether it be the noble's House Champion or any other competitor they believe is destined to win.

Guild Rules
  • Fighters must abide by all Regalian Laws
    • Any and all members of the Guild should strive to follow Regalian Law both in and out of the ring, as members that garner a poor reputation in the eyes of the state or Imperial Court will be barred from competing until such a time as they seek to redeem themselves.
  • Sorcery is prohibited, while aberrants are barred from joining the guild.
    • Any and all use of Sorcery or Magicks is strictly prohibited within the Guild halls, to maintain the Emperor's peace within what is to be a respectable establishment. Further to this point, any Abberants will be denied membership in the Guild due to potential unfair advantages.
  • Guild fees, such as membership & betting should be paid in a timely manner.
    • Procurement of a membership within the Guild is the first step to competing for the pleasure of the peerage, fees thereafter are mostly at the leisure of betting clients. All bets placed and lost must be transferred to the Imperial Betting Society for redistribution amongst winning betters.
  • Respect should be upheld between Guild Members and House Champions.
    • Any and all House Champions and Guild Members should strive to maintain a modicum of decency within the Guild Halls, this means that any conflict that goes on outside of the ring between Guild Members will lead to an inquest, leading up to suspension and potential dismissal from the guild.
  • Regarding Gentlemen's Boxing:
    • Gentlemen's boxing is a sporting tradition amongst the peerage, a display of both prowess and control of one's temper in the ring. Any competing nobles must be members of the Guild and should wear suitable sporting outfits for the occasion.
    • Guild approved hand-wraps must always be worn when taking part in a boxing tournament or training, to ensure any potential damage is kept to a minimum. Boxers are not required to wear outfits that are currently outlined by hotiers whilst in the ring, due to the necessity for free movement and ample cooling as to not overheat in the ring.
    • Suitable boxing attire may consist of shorts and a flowing shirt, though boxers may choose to fight without a shirt, should they deem it necessary to remain cool during their match. No jewelry is to be worn in the ring, under any circumstances. Jewelry can be left with family members or in lockboxes with Guild Staff.

House Champions

House Champions are the elite combatants sponsored by noble houses to fight in their honor, coming from every corner of the Empire and every walk of life, whether their methods are unorthodox or the Champion happens to be from a Knightly Order, seeking glory and good image for his fellow Knights. Each Noble House is encouraged to announce a preferably lowborn champion to represent them in Imperial Tournaments hosted by the Fighter's Guild. Provided a House Champion claimed victory in a tournament, the Noble House sponsoring said Champion will also bask in the glory, earning a heightened reputation amongst the Imperial Prowess and the Guild. If a house wishes to replace their current champion, or any issues arise, they may speak to the Guildmaster or a Master of Prowess.

The Imperial Betting Society

The Imperial Betting Society serves as a healthy form of competition between the noble houses of Regalia. The society will allow betting on a projected winner of a single fight, be it a common brawl, a knightly duel, or an Imperial tournament, using their family's wealth tokens. Wagers must always be placed with a Warden or Bookie prior to a fight, and sealed in a handshake.
  • A member of the peerage should always seek permission from their family head before placing any bets with wealth tokens. Bets may also be placed with objects, favors, or anything of worth.
  • A wager must always be met with a similar offer from an opposing house.
  • Once the fight has concluded, the losing house must pay the winners the exact offer owed. Failure to do this will result in expulsion from the guild, a public statement dishonoring the house, and a warrant issued under Regalian Low Law #12.
  • If there are multiple bets placed on each side, the wagers shall be dispensed evenly to the opposing side.
  • If a bout ends in a draw or another unforeseen event arises, the wager shall still be taken from the noble houses, and instead deposited into 'The Pot'. The Pot shall continue to grow until the next Imperial Tournament, where it shall be evenly spread amongst the final round's winning wagers (if there are any).

Leaderboard

A leaderboard will be posted within the Guild and regularly maintained, with monthly rewards going to individuals with the most tournament victories, most downed opponents and the crowd favourite. Further to the in-house leaderboard, a summary list will be written up by the Master of Prowess each month, to provide insights into upcoming talent and fighters falling from grace, as well as picking out the best sports from the boxing tournaments each month.

Current Leaderboard:
-

Guild Membership
An initial membership fee of Two-Hundred and Fifty Regals will be charged to new guild members, granting use of the indoor fighting ring, gym and bunks. Further benefits include 50% off all drinks served within Guild premises, as well as the use of specialist blunted weaponry for use in both training sessions and tournaments. Any House Champions sponsored by Noble Houses are expected to have their membership fee paid for them by said sponsors, though further charges incurred by the Champion will be paid by the Champion themselves.
