• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

Hello, folks. I've been trying to gather up some ideas regarding the layout of a medieval town. While it isn't going to be a terribly large area, it should have a variety of shops and general buildings to fill in the space I've got envisioned. If anyone's got thoughts on what sort of shops they'd see in a medieval, fantasy town, feel free to drop a comment below-- I'd really appreciate it! Here's some information on the location:
  • It's a coastal town, one that focuses on imports and exports for its main income.
  • The climate is akin to Wales.
  • Magic is an essential part to the town, so perhaps bear that in mind.
  • A lot of travelers come and go, making it an opportune location for lodging and the like.
Other than that, I suppose I'm pretty flexible. I hope to hear back from some of you; it'd really help me out. Thanks!

Since it's coastal, you could build certain buildings off the coast to be reached via Freeze. Perhaps a mage's establishment of some sort?

i think a bunch of floating lamp structures would be cool, with a bunch of little wick creatures that run around a night making sure the place is nice n lit TO KEEP THOSE HECKING BANDITS AWAY
oh and did i forget to say to WATCH OUT ISIS IM COMING 4 U OK

If it's coastal, a big fancy dock fits and sea-related shops seems natural; fishing shops, sailing equipment, restaurants and hotels, maybe a travel office, maybe casinos.

Thanks for all the great ideas, folks!! I really appreciate all the help. [: Means a lot! These are all super neat suggestions.~

A big statue of me in the center of your town would definitely attract tourists

I'm not quite sure how you would be able to achieve this through a minecraft build, but since magic is essential to the town you could come up with a design to make it look like magic is used to transport imports and exports on and off ships. However lore wise the only magics I can think of that would perform such actions would be Ghost Grip magic or Ellon magic, both requiring individuals of course. So I hope you aren't making this lore based if you don't wanna use a bunch of armor stands and player heads. If staff are okay with it you could also build levitating lights about to look like magic orbs lighting the town too.

OH OH they could put like, small floating slabs-platforms in the air with crates tied down (using rails) then use stained glass panes to make trails of color "magic" slightly under and behind them dissipating to make it look like the build is in motion.

I guess you can decorate the ground with magic circles, runes, and other magical-looking symbols and signage, kinda like magical guide lights.

Don't quote me on this, but small levitating lights should be fine. The no-floating-builds rule is mostly concerned with larger, more obnoxious builds like floating platforms and such.
