Summarized History
Located in the province capital of Castro Carcel, the House del Puente is a Daendroque family of San Vèlen origins, though immigrated to Girobalda after being rewarded land by Emperor Henri I. House del Puente has flown under the radar for time immemorial, and simply regarded in the past as Anahera loyalists. As the Counts of Castro Carcel later on, House del Puente served as small time landowners in the Girobalda and San Vèlen regions. During this time, the del Puente dynasty worked diligently to create economic ventures to solidify their power structure. Through their efforts, grew establishments such as "El Estándar Plateado", one of the many prominent del Puente banks. Through shrewd economic action, the house grew, but ensured they brought little unwanted attention to themselves from their Anahera and Wodenstaff neighbors. Following the Anahera Dictatorship, and said house's subsequent fall from grace, the House del Puente abandoned the Anahera dynasty in totality, taking a firm stance against them. Nowadays, under Nobleman Cesare del Puente, the family seeks to revive faith in the crippled Daendroque culture, and achieve a better future for a seemingly lost people.Alfonso I | 102 AC - 123 AC
The House del Puente originates from the small stretch of land of Ciudad del Puente within the San Vèlen Lordship. Classically Anahera land, it's only natural that the family's origins begin as loyal servants to the infamous Daen dynasty. At the time, House del Puente had been simply bannermen without land, and filled different roles in the massive Anahera conglomerate, as guards, stewards, gardeners, and so on and so forth. Alfonso was the current "head" of the family, if you call it such a role at the time. He was simply the oldest, being 45, and received the province of Castro Carcel from Emperor Henri I for his work as a field commander during the Skagger Wars.Alfonso II | 123 AC - 130 AC
The first son of Alfonso, named directly after him, received Castro Carcel at the late age of 43 years old, and in a dire state of health. Alfonso, despite being sick, took to his duties with relative enthusiasm, ensuring to accomplish as much as he could before his death would come for him. Named "The Defiant" for his stubbornness to allow himself to die before he achieved anything, Conde Alfonso II was the man known for establishing the first del Puente operated bank, one still open to this day. His knowledge of banking enabled him to build finances for the del Puente house to work off of.Fernando I | 130 AC - 152 AC

Sigil
The Sisters of the Poppy Field
Three Silent Sisters trampling a poppy field.
The sigil is usually featured on a shield with a squared top and rounded bottom, to represent the peninsula which the Ciudad del Puente is on. The sigil comes from both del Puente legend, as well a contemporary take on geopolitical Daendroque satire. The del Puentes of today believe their founding membe to be nothing shy of humble, being a simple Unionist Silent Sister who worked as a gardener at a monastery. She was a sister of three siblings, and allegedly trimmed the bushes there daily, and eventually was coaxed out of her religious role to wed a local landowner, a man who fawned over her beauty. The two produced children; children who would come to be the founders of the del Puente bloodline, or so the stories say. It is not known which sister represents the main one to this day, and that inspires many tales and theories that the family enjoys sharing. The poppies being trampled was an added addition to the sigil following the Anahera Dictatorship, and signifies the need for the Daen people to abandon the terrible reputation forced onto them by their previous Anahera overlords.

Political Compass
Republican-Particularists
House del Puente is a family interested in attachment to its own cultural group, as well as decentralizing the state in favour of noble republican rule. Likewise, House del Puente has a lax view on gender and race, though such doesn't take away from their stern political views.
Religion
Sanchellist Unionist
(Aspect of Knowledge usually, if any.)
Business/Trade
House del Puente owns multiple banks either directly or through subsidiary companies in order to fund their ventures. Likewise, taxes, naval construction, and dyes tend to make up the difference as normal exports from the lands.
Base
The capital of the del Puente territory is Castro Carcel, in Girobalda.
Physical Traits
Puentes are typically tanned in a range of passibly Regalian to light brown, as typical of their Daendroque roots, but never close to Qadir tones though. Black hair is the most common, though some have auburn. All manners of eye color are seen, it simply depends on parentage. With the family focus on self-ambition and making your way in the world, there are all kinds of different body builds in the family, from lanky to strongman, skinny to obese, but generally the del Puentes tend to be naturally athletic, in that they find building muscle and shedding fat easier than usual.
Conde Alfonso I (Left); Conde Fernando II (Right)
Male del Puente Description
Males in the del Puente household have the commanding role in most things, though not so much as an Alt-Regalian or Leutz house would, for example. Simply put, the majority of power is invested into their hands as the sole and preferred holders of Castro Carcel. Many members find themselves funneled into roles as bankers or heads of the many del Puente subsidiary companies under its umbrella. However, the military is still pursued as a small route in the family, even if said military is by a member heading a privately funded mercenary band. That being said, while the del Puentes are famous for their bankers, diplomats, and stewards, they've made a name for themselves with the various tacticians that have emerged from the family, such as Juan Carlos I, for example. House del Puente has a hobby for sailing, traditionally, and while very little has come of their naval pursuits, the males often find some time for such by recreational standards.House del Puente (dell-Pwen-teh)

Conde Alfonso I (Left); Conde Fernando II (Right)

Male del Puente Description
Male Appearance
It is most common for a male del Puente to be some shade of tanned, more often than not. Despite this, they are often considered to be fairer skinned than their Daendroque and Lusitian counterparts, and male never reach the dark, near-Qadir shades that some of their culture tend to. Puente members come in all shapes and sizes, from the skinniest to the fattest. Though there is one unifying trend, and such being that members of the house tend to find themselves able to produce muscle quite easy, should they wish to. Hair and eye colors are typically quite random, but most of the time a del Puente male is black or auburn-haired, with brown or green being the most common eye colors.

"The men rule the day, and the patriarch reigns supreme in Castro Carcel. But in the parlors, us women take the reigns to serve this dynasty. A dress is not a chain in our family, but wings, in order to soar and be a woman of ambition and purpose. That is what makes Castro Carcel great, mis hijas." - Consorte-Condesa delivers a rousing speech to a workshop of hired women during the reign of Fernando IV. (290 AC)

Consorte-Condesa Isabel (Left); Dama Catarina (Right)

Female del Puente Description
Female Appearance
Females, like the males, often possess the tanned hues natural to a Daendroque Ailor, yet again, like the males, tend to be on the fairer side of the spectrum. The women have been known to have notoriously darker hair and eyes than the men, with few sporting the occasionally-seen auburn hair color. This applies to eyes equally, as females are seen with typically brown eyes. Women del Puentes tend to have equally elegant facial structures to the males, possessing high cheekbones, but rounder-styled faces featuring straight noses. These women tend to naturally have womanly bodies, as is usual for the Daen culture, and don't tend to over or under-eat in order to remain presentable at court.

El Grand Consejo advises Conde Fernando IV within the halls of El Palacio de Juan Carlos. (280 AC)

El Gran Consejo (The Grand Council)
"El Gran Consejo" is the underbody of the del Puente governmental structure. They serve at the behest of the Patriarch and family, ensuring the proper running of lands, companies, and so on. While the council is typically manned by members of the family directly, it is not uncommon to see bannermen of the del Puente family to be employed onto the council, especially the closest ones. Houses like de Balletero and Morcillo, for example, have held longtime, traditional positions in the council even to this day. While holding usually no executive authority, the Grand Council is the patriarch's principle advisory board, often lending much needed guidance and prime issues.

Juan Carlos del Puente is chosen to succeed Fernando III. (233 AC)
"All men must join together in harmonious song in order to create a famous A Capella, and so, all men must put minds together as one single organism, to create better ideas, better solutions, and a better tomorrow. " - Juan Carlos del Puente's speech to El Gran Consejo shortly after the military's takeover of Fernando III's regime. (233 AC)

Secretario Diplomático (Diplomatic Secretary)
Sitting Member: Vacant
The Diplomatic Secretary is responsible for all manner of diplomatic advisement. He/She is required to help the patriarch decide on a diplomatic direction for the family to go, as well as confer choice political onto the family and council as a whole.
Secretario Economico (Economic Secretary)
Sitting Member: Ferdinand del Puente
The Economic Secretary is responsible for all manner of economic advisement. He/She are in charge of overseeing the del Puente companies and subsidiaries, as well as keep the patriarch up-to-date on all commercial, banking, and economic situations of the family. Likewise, the secretary is the number cruncher, and oversees the financial situation of House del Puente, keeping track of debts, loans, payments, taxes, etc.
Secretario Religioso (Religious Secretary)
Sitting Member: Secretario Julian Luys del Puente
The Religious Secretary is the chief religious advisor to not only the patriarch, but also the family as a unit. While dealing with small jobs such as conducting private mass for the family, confessions, and offering advice, the secretary is required to represent the Daen people in the Synod.
Mariscal Supremo (Supreme Marshal)
Sitting Member: Mariscal Augusto Juan-Carlos del Puente
The Supreme Marshal acts as the chief commander of The del Puente levies. The Mariscal Supremo holds ultimate authority, only second to that of The Patriarch, in terms of: troop movements, within The Archipelago; Levy dedications, to The State or other entities; and, Marshalship of del Puente Private Armies. The Mariscal Supremo, despite being overlooked in preference to more economically oriented posts, is vital for the defence of Casa del Puente's assets and holdings.
Almirante Supremo (Supreme Admiral)
Sitting Member: Mariscal Alfonso Fernando del Puente
The Supreme Admiral is the commander of the prestigious navy of the del Puente household. During peacetime, the Admiral is typically needed to constantly observe the naval situation of the family, and often gets shuffled back into commanding state fleets for the Empire. His duties generally come during war, where is he is expected to engage enemy fleets, both at home, and abroad, in the name of The Empire and Casa del Puente.
Maestro de Espías (Spymaster)
Sitting Member: Maestro Monferriz de Balleteros
The Spymaster is a unique position within the del Puente complex. Primarily, he/she is in charge of obtaining choice information on other noble families, organizations, charters, individuals, etc. This person is also made to be the chief investigator of any and all threats against the patriarch and his kin/councillors, protecting and safeguarding their positions, prestige, well-being, and state-of-mind.
Maestro de Armas (Master-at-Arms)
Sitting Member: Maestro José Ramon Morcillo
The Master-at-Arms is different from the Captain of the Guard due to his rather niche position in the court. While the Guard Captain oversees training and deployment of the retainers and armed men of the del Puente house, the Master-at-Arms is solely responsible for the training of the family members of the house. Trained in multiple forms of combat, he often assists in the combat training of all del Puentes who need it, and is also in charge of direct retainers to the patriarch.
Capitán de la Guardia (Captain of the Guard)
Sitting Member: Vacant
The Captain of the Guard is the top man of the del Puente house guard, The Golden Gauntlet. While obviously he oversees the broad scope of physical protection of the family, the Captain is equally responsible for training, managing, and overseeing the Gauntlet to the best of his abilities. This is done though sparring, training, mock-tourneys, and drilling of the guard on a regular basis.
El Pequeño Consejo (The Minor Council)
"El Pequeño Consejo" is actually directly translated to "The Little Council", but is often referred to as simply the Minor Council, or the Court. This court often is entitled to smaller, less intricate tasks, but serve a flavourful and crucial role in the de Puente machine nevertheless. They are often seen as the stepping stool between servant and councillor, but not as low or high as either one. With their prime access to the family's personal lives, the people of the Minor Council actually have a unique opportunity to lobby for their choice political goals.
Chamberlain, Courtist, Steward(s), Courtiers,
Gran Chambelán (Grand Chamberlain)
Held by: Vacant
The Grand Chamberlain is the person responsible for overseeing the court. Usually, this is held by a male, due to the fact he sometimes doubles for duties such as: Picking out the patriarch's fashion, overseeing his dressing if applicable, grooming for events, etc. Which would be awkward if held by a female, as well as inappropriate. The Grand Chamberlain, however, is directly responsible for the Event Masters, Courtiers, and Debutantes. While the Event Masters design and create new events and court ideas, he approves and signs off on them for the patriarch. He approves/denies applicants to the Court, directs and manages them, removes them if need be, and even advises the Grand Council on related matters to his duties.
Maestros de los Eventos (Masters of the Events)
Held by: Vacant
The Masters of the Events is a title possibly held by multiple individuals. These people, both male and/or female, design, create, and oversee new events for the family to host, though usually ones hosted at the family's place of living. This does not exclude them from creating events outside such, like jousts or tournaments, but it simply is not their main focus, usually. These Event Masters, sometimes referred to as "Cabecillas" (Ringleaders), answer only to the family, and the Grand Chamberlain, the latter being their direct superior. Likewise, the Grand Chamberlain also dictates if Event Masters are doing a sufficient amount of work and events to justify keeping their lucrative position.
Cortesano (Courtier)
Members: N/A
The Courtiers are on the lower rung of the Minor Council, but are in a unique, lucrative position. These men and women often have political goals, and are in a prime position to advertise them to the patriarch and family. This is due to having direct access, as well as receiving personal invitations to all del Puente events, even if not a noble themselves. Courtiers are a catch-all, and are often deemed as "Friends of the Family", holding little to no specific jobs other than to exist and socialize.
Debutante (Débutante)
Members: N/A
Debutantes have many of the same rewards and expectations as the Courtiers, but are seperated for a single reason: They are unmarried women. The Debutantes consist of young women seeking marriage (usually with the del Puente family or their friends/allies), and are either considered for or sponsored by the family.
Bannermen
The Bannermen are families, always commoners, who historically or recently come to serve the del Puente through various means. Bannermen often are treated very fondly by the family, and come to serve in choice, lucrative positions in both Councils. These are different than vassals, obviously, in that they are universally not possessing of nobility, and of course have no tax or manpower dedication to the family. For these families, only their loyalty is needed, and is always given, due to the amount of rewards bestowed upon them.
House Morcillo
Head: José Ramon Morcillo (Unplayed Currently)
Members: Multiple Unplayed
House Morcillo, represented on their sigil by the Chestnut Dredger horse, is one of the oldest bannermen to the del Puente house. In the past, their role has always been mostly military-focused, meaning that they tend to send sons and nephews to the del Puentes as retainers, soldiers, trainers, generals, admirals, you name it. For their loyalty, they're often rewarded with a marriage deal. Currently, House Morcillo is headed by José Ramon Morcillo, who is not only wedded to Ferdinand del Puente's daughter, but also is the Maestro de Armas of the house.
House de Balleteros
Head: Monferriz de Balleteros (Unplayed Currently)
Members: Multiple Unplayed
House de Balleteros flies the Red Fairfin upon their banner, the flag being a common sight beside that of a del Puente sigil. House de Balleteros are the traditional keepers of the seat of Maestro de Espiás, that is, they are typically Spymasters of House del Puente. The Balleteros have maintained the seat of Maestro de Espiás for many decades uninterrupted, having only ever failed to firmly grasp the position once, when Carlos Balleteros was fired from the post for opiate and alcohol addiction; to be swiftly replaced thereafter by his much more eligible son. The most recent patriarch, Monferriz de Balleteros, is described as having outshone his forefathers in his work, and as such, is held to be a shining example of exactly why Casa de Balleteros has remained Spymasters for so many decades. For his effort, Monferriz was wed to Illeana del Puente, his dutiful wife.

Imperial Ser of Castro Carcel Held by Nobleman Cesare I del Puente
Bordered by Miramonte to the north, and Wodenstaff to the south-west, Castro Carcel is a port city featuring numerous lucrative businesses built up over the course of nearly two centuries by the dynasty. Castro Carcel is the main base of del Puente operations, featuring Daendroquen estates and architecture, and being a general showcase of the culture's roots and interests. The capital of such land is the old port city of Cudillero, which was founded after the original capital, Casares, fell into disrepair due to multiple plague infestations about eighty years ago.

La Unión de Oro is a conglomerate headed by House del Puente. The conglomerate is an umbrella organization, which heads a number of banks, firms, and subsidiary companies which drive del Puente financial infrastructure. While Cesare del Puente is the Director Ejecutivo, he diverts much of his control to the individual, del Puente loyal, supervisors of the various companies. However, some, such as El Estándar Plateado, are directly ran by del Puentes, or sometimes the Economic Secretary, who still oversees much of their organization and income for the family.
The Golden Gauntlet Headed by el Capitán de la Guardia (Currently Vacant)
The Golden Gauntlet, sometimes referred to as simply "The Gauntlet" or "Goldens", is the formalized house guard of House del Puente. While the main force in the city of Regalia is designated as the main "Familia" branch, there are other branches with various other duties back in Castro Carcel, and abroad. However, the main duty of the house guard is to protect the del Puente family.
