"I don't want serial killers and psychopaths working under me."
It had been months since she witnessed it, a good yet terrible act. She saw so many Arken fall and she didn't bat an eye, but when Cora died by beheading...she felt cold and broken. Maybe it was because she was no more than a small child...or maybe it was something else digging into her mind. Someone else. After she finished this little event she went home...tortured by dreams of the small corpse in front of her, blood spewing from the new hole in its head... before a loud singing voice filled her mind.
It told her that "All will be fine, if you follow me, and do as I say whilst I am away. You can and will fly high. Follow the route to the fire. Follow and find my followers, and join them. Serve me, and I will grant you the freedom...perhaps even your father back from death, or the memories you seek." Before falling silent.
She woke, sitting upright, sweat heading down her face...cold and clammy. She looked outside...it will still night. But the urge dragged her in, a new feeling of confidence. She got her clothes on and followed the directions, even when she didn't want to, put into the woodland. The force of the song had changed her, made her...feel better.
She wandered a trail out of the city, spotting the fire mentioned, with men and women in familiar armour. They turned to her, welcomingly, and handed her a new skin of metal where she could hide what the song had done to her. How it changed her, warped her mind right. She slid it on slowly, and praised her new Goddess with them for the rest of the night, drinking and having fun in all the the ways she could think of.
As the sun rose above her, she looked up at the orange sky. She thought. She knew that the Goddess would be away for a while...but that didn't mean they were any less needed in guiding the people to the truth path. It was time to redeem herself in the eyes of Rikkira, for the lives of the, now, fellow Cultists which she took. And it was time for her to use her Azure contacts to help her work towards the rise to power of the True Dragon.
It was time for Lyal'amna to get working, evil smile on her face.
