• Inventory Split Incoming

    MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

    Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

    Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

I am a pretty basic rper though I am a barelly 1% factions player and 0% pvp player. I log on once a week to get some roleplay in on my character. I have memorized several pages atm and written near 11 character apps. I don't pvp at all and find the pvp community pretty barbaric and I don't really check into pvp community content much but have been following the recent rp/pvp conflicts. What I have seen of pvp isn't great and I don't think that I am willing to rp as I have absolutely no skill or reputation into the community that could get me into a faction that would teach me the ways. I pvped once or twice about 6 months ago and didn't find it very fun. I don't think it takes much skill to pvp besides having good reflexes and being able to click 20 times a second. I play overwatch as a hobby but with a controller and I find that better than pvp because it takes teamwork and composition and a lot of complicated stuff. So, with all this complaint about too many people wasting time roleplaying when they could be pvping, I want you people to try your best to convince me that pvp could actually be enjoyable for me AND/OR make up some lies about pvp features/community (that could actually come true one day) to give some ideas for both pvp and rp communities.

@Chappers65 @Sevak @jes_ @PvP @Gethelp (also, I would love if a pvper did one of these for trying to convince pvpers to rp)
(note these aren't actually my opinions, this is just a mock up to get good ideas out of people)(this is not written from my perspective but that of a made up character with a made up set of opinions)

Do pvp for the adrenaline. Like when someone is chasing you through the mountains of Teled, it gets your heart beating. Even hunting newbs is fun (though it's considered kinda rude and probably is not a good first impression to give them about this server). Do it for the heart pumping adrenaline. So much fun.

Noooooo. You are not being productive.

You are trying to appeal to some sense of relevance by jumping onto a hot topic by injecting your opinion and status despite knowing next to nothing about the issue. You insult the other side of the community and then profess how little you actually engage in it while extracting a disproportionate amount of staff time without really contributing.

This isn't a productive narrative, it's an attempt at public relevance. Let the discussions form themselves on the threads that already exist, there is 0 need for any other threads to be made for personal appeals.

"I" is an unreal character. I added the apps on the end for a wee bit of bragging. I made up "I" as a set of opinions to try to get the community to convince "I" into pvping.
 
No idea why you bothered tagging me if you're just going to sit there and whine about how pvp sucks. If you don't want to pvp, whatever.

ok, this isn't me. This is just a survey, "I" is a made up character. This isn't from my perspective. "I" isn't going to comment back but is going to take in the information.
