• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

Dude nice meme did you find it on 4chan?

first off, togal is savage,
second off, how many of you play DnD. bc the rule system with the d20 sounds awfully similar,

for those who don't play, if you are more skilled, you get extra numbers to add to the dice, if you are in a bad situation, you get disadvantage, that means you roll twice and take the lower

for those who do
thumbs up

that is an interesting rule, but i prefer it DnD style.....probs because i had to spend a week learning the rules XD

I've always had a beef with both the dice method and the "3 rule", as you have it:
The 3 rule's problem is really, really clear. Generally speaking, when abiding by the three rule, there's basically no skill accounted for. The first person to swing will be, three tries later, the first to hit. Always.
As for the dice system, it was originally designed for games with a DM or GM (Dungeon Master or Game Master, respectively). Nearly all genuine "roleplaying games" designed with the dice system account for the presence of the DM/GM, who mediates gameplay and essentially makes sure things stay fair. Without that... You get things like five consecutive 20s in a row between a pacifist noble and Aloria's most skilled swordsman, and suddenly logic gets projected out the window.
TL;DR the dice system wasn't made for a situation where it's essentially "PVP", per-say. It was designed for GM-moderated PVE.

I agree. The dice system is great in situations where probability of a hit is equal, but I think that it's far more logical to use a system of reason and logic. For example, if you're surrounded by a group of guards with broken ribs, you're not going to be able to roll to safety, or even dodge, at all. But in some situations, like if you are an agile fighter who is extremely capable of dodging weapons, a heavily armored guard (or even lightly armored) coming at you with a longsword may have a tough time hitting you, and it's very reasonable to dodge his downward sweeping stroke. So it really just depends on the skillset of each fighter and the situation you're in.
