• Inventory Split Incoming

    MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

    Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

    Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

Pretty self explanatory -- I miss the skin showcase channel in the MassiveCraft discord :(

I'm all for skins being treated like art (because they are!!!) but as someone that skins a lot, I feel bad posting my skins 'over' other art pieces, and competing for space that way. I know it's not really that big of a deal, but I feel bad all the same :(

Seconded this. I don't skin as often as Bunemma but I have found when I do that I feel bad also posting over people's art so I make a note to not post yet then I forget to post :(
I would like skin-showcase to be re-implemented because of organizational purposes + we have a lot of people posting in art already, and also because I feel bad posting over people.

Gonna add my fourth for this one, It was a nice distinction in the discord between them.

fifthed, i don't think I'd ever feel comfy posting my skins in art showcase :(

Thirded.

PLEASEEEEEE.

Adding onto this very thought-out and compelling argument I made when I was sick (lol);

Whilst there is an argument could be made that we may post our skins in the general media-sharing channel instead, I feel like that would discredit skinning as a lone-standing artform.

The skin-showcase channel is also still publicly visible in the archive, and I'm sure newer players see this archived skin-showcase channel too, and will wonder why it was archived. If posting skins has become too narrow/niche of a thing to host a channel for, maybe it can be repurposed into a general minecraft/in-game-showcase channel instead, where skins, figura avatars, builds, screenshots and other works within the medium of minecraft may be showcased?
