• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

Greetings and good tidings people of the internet, I am Avemechanicus, resident petter of cats, lover of machinery, and slightly deranged writer of tabletop rpgs. Now for the actual introduction, I am referred to across the internet as Ave, but I am not the only one. As for myself behind the screen, I'm a simple little man, not very tall, oddly thin, and hobbling from a stroke with some cerebral-glandular damage. My intellect is slightly variable, but present. My locality of life is California at the moment, and I have become the Desert Rat. I am a college, or as I call it in European fashion (I am an Irish bastard) Uni student, and after screwing off my first semester Imma tryin' ta raise dat GPA. As to personality, I'm somewhat zen, but excitable, innately optimistic, (I hope) and prone to saying what I want to say. Be warned, I critique yet in turn expect critique. I'm also a vulgar bastard with no sense of writing structure yet somehow received awards for writing and !!SCIENCE!! As to my Massivecraft career, I came to Massive during a deep depression, and the innately friendly, mentally stimulating server assisted my recovery, by that slant I feel slightly indebted to the server and it's fine community. My first character, was a Scottish Sea Urchin Maiar with primitive eyes and the ability to alter bodily pressure, yes I was the novice. My next character was spawned from a mix of military fiction, and yakuza movies, leading to my (Originally Chi'i-Orc) samurai grunt Ash'na Rak, smoker of pipes, fighter in the rain, tachi swinging murderhobo. He's still my personal favourite character, and I've don't my best to keep him lore compliant with the ever changing server rp elements. My next sufficiently developed character would be my Orc-Jorrsund Ailor, Rerik Ulster, an oddly accented giant with a penchant for machines, and cats, (Oh I wonder why). Originally meant the villain, he quickly become what amounts to neutral good, slowly developing a selection of contacts and friends, all of witch he considers family, and some of the greatest rp I've ever had. As to the nature of my rp, I prefer to add a bit of fantasy, larger than life HEROES, over connivers or villainous anti-heroes.

As to my outside desires, I am a training anthropologist, and despite my grades, I certainly integrated the information. I am also an unabashedly arrogant man most of the time, my apologies beforehand. I tend to enjoy close groups of friends, but do my best not to ostracize anyone undeserving, and I forgive easily at that. I've run an assortment of rpgs over the years, and tabletop gaming is a pretty big part of my life, to the point where I've written and converted my own, twelve year old campaign setting from DnD to Pathfinder, I love tabletop rpgs, plain and simple. In regards to other interests, I'm very into philosophy, discourse, and writing, I write short stories of variable quality in my spare (Non-Massive/tabletop game) time. As to my goals, I want to move into the genetic sciences, or prosthetic developments, and alternative power methods such as superfluid batteries or tapping magnetic fields. Now to simplify this, I'll make a short list of what I like, and dislike.

What Ave loves: People, of all kinds, animals, philosophy space, meditation, ramen, food in general, forgiveness, kindness, elaborate word play, that feeling you get when an animal likes you, firearms and general military equipment, The Massive Community, Cultural studies, rain, the mood, cold air, clouds, nocturnal activities, creating things, GUNDAM, orcs, Industry, that fact that you may have read this far, it's honouring, Old people, bats, Space, anything sweet or savoury, making people happy, snow, those that have graced me with their friendship, coffee (The sweeter the better), vests, When I try to write something and laugh at how bad it is. Optimism, fencing, giant robots in general, those clever bastards behind instant coffee mix, Sci-Fi in general, medical technology, The fact that I am alive, the fact that there is a tomorrow, those who are no longer with us, faith, hope, taking time to smell the roses and look at the clouds.

What Ave does not love: Arachnids, insects from a direct observation standpoint, deep water, heights, politics of any sort, poorly written rpgs (So basically my own writings), elves, racism, self-entitlement, technological stasis, Wal-Mart, Tumblr, needles, small children, death, Driz'zt clones of any sort ( I've seen far too many of them), scimitars, when Yahoo hijacks your search engine, shrimp flavoured anything, parasites, cliques, pointless destruction, Solipism, Occam's razor, demonic anything, Mary Sues, those who hit the "I win" Button in rp situations, vampires, porn of any sort, sleeping, generally overpowered characters under any reason.

Ask anything, anything at all, spam as you wish (ignore the misspellings, I'm too lazy to edit)

Very relatable. Hear, hear.

Jeez, reading this made me smile. You sound like a fantastic guy, and I'm glad we have you on the server. I look forward to RPing with you sometime!

I'm picturing you as a giant Irish Orc with a limp walking a giant fluffy white cat.

Am I close?
I'm not that big, nor am I green, I'm more a lightly tanned white, while my canines are viciously sharp, they come no where near tusks, and my preference of cat, indeed my wee puss kitty, is a black muscley little monster I call Boo, or Voodoo. Good guess though.

You're an awesome-possum, Ave. <: We should totes-magoats write together sometime!
