• Aulikki is a Balten Pagan, survivor of Herebrand repression, and a former guerilla. She is legally a member of House Lahti-Viitanen, the Rulers of Ose, but only uses the Viitanen's name. She lives in self-imposed exile, and often works as a secretary.
• Before the Drixagh Revolt, the Viitanens were a recently ennobled commoner house that served on the Lahti's Privy Council. Aulikki managed the family's estates and held their council seat for several years. During this time Ose suffered from an oppressive Herebrand overlordship, which lead to her separating from the family to lead a guerilla warband in the early stages of the Drixagh Rebellion.
• While she was out in the sticks ambushing Herebrands, the two families merged through marriage, eventually joining the rebellion in its later stages where they helped expel the Herebrands. It is likely that if Aulikki had stayed with her family she would have prevented the houses from joining, something that upsets her to this day.
• The Count of Ose is in ill-health, and Aulikki is one of the major candidates to replace them upon their death. The Privy Council can elect anyone from the line of succession, and Aulikki represents the conservative faction that opposes the Lahtis for 'hiding' their paganism to better appeal to outsiders. She also dislikes their reconciliatory attitude towards Unionists, and attempts to rapidly modernize Ose.

• Aulikki is a smallish, pale woman with curly blonde hair and freckles. She is usually dressed in fine but somewhat plain outfits, befitting her role as a noble in exile.
