So this is my third art thread, and I'd like to say the best so far? Hopefully.
And as I've said before:
All of my art is to be considered non canon unless specified otherwise. Your character is not allowed to know anything in my drawings without my consent, not even skin, hair or eyecolor.

"Mom, can you read me a bedtime story?" Bree hadn't even closed the door to shut out the snowstorm before Ivar had walked in the hallway, clutching a book in his hands.
"I know you're tired but..." he continued, peering down on his toes that stuck out of the far too big pants he was wearing. Bree turned around as the door finally locked shut, the elf shining up in a wide smile. She took a quick step towards her son before falling to her knees, squeezing him tight and delivering icy kisses all over his face.
"Mom, stop it you're cold!" the boy giggled, squirming slightly in her arms despite the wide grin on his lips.
"Of course I will sunshine, I am never too tired to read to you"

Looked back at some 2016 drawing of Bree, and I just thought the amount of difference in style and all was too good not to redraw Bree in a similar pose. Sometimes we get stuck staring blindly at people better than us, but we often forget to look back and see how far we've come ourselves.
She is a 2 year old character after all, so she has had her fair share of rewrites and changed a fair bit, just like I've gotten better. I'd like to say it turned out really hecking good.

Bree walked down the basement stairs with yet another cup of tea, laying eyes on the desk. Her husband wasn't hunched over, writing obsessively anymore, instead he was leaning back in his seat, staring on the wall on the other side of the room. The desk was littered in empty cups, a half drunk glass of water, and a nearly empty plate. When she entered the room he peered up to her, following her with his gaze as she made her way around the desk.
"Out of ideas love? Made you more tea.." she started, setting down the teacup. She only had time to see a flash of a smile from the man before he had pulled her down into his lap, squeezing her closely as he kissed her. She chuckled, wrapping her arms around him.

A vampy version inspired by the abusive relationship between Rohesia and Chloe (Me and Scruffy's lesbian vampires a while back) where Chloe would use her shimmer mask turn into Rohesia when threatening her. Only with Bree as the character in this version.

Not something I talk about a lot, but I am a HUGE sucker for mythology and folklore, and I always adored Swedish folklore. Especially hulders, or in Swedish, huldror. Gorgeous women when under a spell, except they have a rotten hole as a back, and a tail. Depending on where she hails from, there's cows tails, fox tails etc. Seduces men and is pleasant if you please her, less pleasant if you don't.
Prompted by a specific writing I did about Bree.
As an elf that surrounds herself and love ailor, she has an understanding that her loved ones age at an entirely different speed than her, and has grown a rather strong distaste of being reminded of her neverchanging self. Including mirrors. Die mirrors, die.

I haven't been around a whole lot, nor created a lot lately because I am going through some rough times. Shit happens. I had long wanted to draw a representation of mental health and most of all, depression. And this came out of it. It didn't become even near what I had in mind, but I love it anyhow. I think for as different as it came out from my expectations, it is certainly everything I wanted it to portray.
I may go so far as to say that it is one of my favorite drawings that I have done this year.
