Should instant crafting of vanilla potions be re-enabled?

As of the last big armor and potion update to factions, the ability to instantly craft non-mcmmo potions (strength, speed, fire res, regen, etc.) was removed for no apparent reason that I am aware of. Setting up a brewer, and brewing itself takes a very long time, and may seem like a daunting task to new players. Having vanilla potions craftable was an easy way for everybody, new players especially, to make potions and fight back. Brewing and insta-crafting still cost the same amount of resources, yet it was decided to implement the one that takes longer. I would like to know what the motivation was behind making another barrier for players to pvp, when the whole focus as of late was to get people to defend and fight. I would like to hear everybody's opinion on this. @Tokuu @Sephite @Omnomivore @Synthesia @Viscar @hardname12 @Maytee

don't add this back. it's so bad and doesn't even work! honestly we should just remove pots completely since it gives such an unfair advantage to rpers who are new to the scene! please do not add this or i will report this!

I'll admit I have opposed reinstating craft-able potions for a while (mostly because of the hours on hours I've spent trying to perfect my brewer) but I see the advantages to this mechanic and would welcome it back.

Yea honestly don't really remember anyone asking for it to be removed, would be nice to see it back

Oh hey it's the dude who only plays to cap koth
completely irrelevant

just because I dont play with you in factions doesn't mean I don't play

I've played on this server for five years, it's completely idiotic to say all I do is play koth, hell when I first started playing I don't even think koth was a thing, at least I never remember seeing it if it was.

It never did in the first place

I never said it did, I said that because L_AA said something about it.

Takes meme seriously

Ye, dont brag about destroying facs tho
i wouldnt brag about using hack client if i did, but disbanding faction can be seen as part of faction, dude left perms in a vulnerable way, same way you might use allies doors or allies f home tp to raid them.
and can you ever not flame? this is a post about craftable pots, not whos worst at playing

I would argue that abusing perms shouldn't be a part of factions, although I understand the necessity. That's why I push for a MassiveSeige plugin... to make raiding less of looking for abuses and more of a fun process thats more like KOTH but with items lost (so no knockback sticks and respawning with them)

koth's already being changed fam

it's already likely going to happen after world deletion I already said this lmao
To my knowledge nothing has been said by staff on this being added back in. Would rather see staff say if its being re-implemented and why it was taken out in the first place rather than just a regular player. Players like to say a lot of things that will be implemented when they aren't a part of the staff team; it almost always is not implemented if there is no actual post from staff.

Source tho? I don't remember ever seeing that.
I've been told fam, I was in the ts when the staff acknowledged that removing craftable pots was a bad idea and that changes to PvP would happen AFTER the major project finished, which is world deletion.

Ask any game staff and they'll probably tell you something similar

We've not said anything concrete, just that certain ideas are being considered. This is one of those being considered, and we will look into PvP changes in depth in the weeks following Relocations. I ask that everyone interested formulates detailed opinions as to what changes should occur, and why. The better, more in depth arguments we have, the more likely we are of finding that "sweet spot" wherein the larger player base is happy, and we don't just cater to a specific few.

He did ask....

@Tokuu @Sephite @Omnomivore Player input has seemed overwhelming in favor of bringing back craftable potions. I would like to have some staff input and maybe the chances that this would get re-implemented?
