Crushed Flower.
Oh crushed flower, why does thou weep? Laid in the dirt where thine life blood seeps.
Oh crushed flower, why does thou cry, is it because you know you will soon die?
Oh crushed flower be calm this day, for because of you new life will enter the fray.
Oh crushed flower, your death has not brought glory nor gold, but instead it brought light to a world so cold.
My Friend.
I've had enough, through tears and sorrow I learned I did not have it rough. And yet my friend you refuse to see. For if we tried we could be anything we want to be. But because of this crippling pain; all that trying would be done in vain. I am sorry I could not save you from the knife you held in your hand, and you left me with only memories, like footprints in the sand. I am afraid that I will see you soon my friend, I fear my life will meet its end. But in the end I was wrong, for ironically you were the one who taught me to be strong. And that fear I once had is gone from my mind, and I am now not only strong but also kind. I will never forget you nor the things you have done, for your name is now my son's.
