Your Character With A Portal Gun

Title says it all. What would your character use the Portal Gun for (and when would they realize it's kinda like Shadow Magic)?

Adeline would use the Portal Gun to mess with random people, dropping them through walls and such.

Alex would create elaborate Navy tactics involving the use of a Portal.

Phillip would keep it in his basement behind the fake wall, in case he ever needs to escape from the guards or anyone.

Lloa would really have no use for a Portal Gun and would likely just use it to make traveling through the sewers safer.
