• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

If could please post your factions name and a brief history about it that would be great. I am trying to preserve all this history of all the factions. So please post below thanks :D

There is Sicarius :s. Formerly known as the Darkspire, then as Gwydren after being taken over by a dwarven king, then after that becoming Dargoroth a evil empire until the new king took control of his eldest brothers throne and created the new name Sicarius. (has been around for generally 1 year and 4 months)

Hmmm... I've been around a while... lets see what I remember, faction wise:

VSTC:
Part of the First Pristinian Empire under ItsNickBarry's younger sibling Bbgun99. Located on a mushroom island, possessed a cute style of building. Sadly, I was still such a noob back then I didn't know how to screenshot yet. I lived in a hole at first (literally, a hole in the ground that I dug out, complete with booby trapped mine and darkroom). I became an officer in that faction, eventually, and even helped a friend take it over for a short bit. Before that though I helped build a city (of cobble) that was amazing. It also had an undercity and my first attempt at running a business, I ran a shop down there. The faction collapsed when it's 2nd leader, Pidog10, went inactive. It disbanded about 12-14 months ago I think.
Max Population: 30 members or so.
Settlements: Ventari Town, Solitude City, Rosaric Islands
Empire(s): First Pristinian Empire
Leader(s): Bbgun99, Pidog10, ThomasOverMany(for a day or two).
Location: Old Ceardia
Osion:
Founded as a rebellion against VSTC, Osion eventually came to found an empire. It was founded by myself and ThomasOverMany, though Thomas was leader. The original settlement was called "Old Osion" and was basically a cobble town slum with walls. The 2nd settlement was Gran Laurona, one of the first cities in Deandroc, and still inhabited by the new faction JupusLaurona. Osion built many amazing buildings along the River Ren (or whatever I named it) during and after Thomas's leadership. Under me the town/city was abandoned due to lack of defensibility. The new location was originally owned by the faction Pristina, capitol of the Pristinian Empire, but all that remained when I claimed it were low walls. The new location became known as Fort Osion or Osion Fortress, and boasted an immense castle and nearly unbreachable walls. While it was Osion Fortress the faction founded an empire of sorts consisting of nearby factions and worked to expand it's size. The faction would eventually collapse due to griefing and the collapse of leadership (aka, I left) and finally disbanded some time after Ellador was released.
Max Population: 50-70 members
Settlements: Old Osion, Gran Laurona, Osion Fortress
Leader(s): ThomasOverMany, Mecharic, Maple8000
Location: Ceardia, Deandroc

Osai:
Osai started out as "TheRetreat" after I became overwhelmed by the Osion Griefing and Noob Committee. It was located in Deandroc, on the edge of the ocean, and became a major storage faction while I spent some time inactive. When I returned, Ellador was released and I dove in head first, using my 3 accounts to get 30 claim power (back when prem didn't do jack :P) and claimed the location I dubbed "Town at the Crossroads". I grew Osai there for a while, just me 'n my alts... but then I got all lonely and stoof, and thus went on to invite people. Some of those people have been forgotten (even by me) but others... well, others are remembered to this day for various achievements. Most notable was OctoberGwen, who would eventually turn my wussy little faction into one of the most loved/hated RP factions on the server. But we're still at the little town stage. As I added new members I expanded the town (twice), added some more fortifications (twice) added farms (thrice) and gave members freedom to build (which worked out awesomely). The faction was never as large under me as Osion or Hisoka were/would be, but it was peaceful, fun, and friendly... until one day, Argonia got a stick up their a$$ and decided, for no apparent reason, that Osai would make a wonderful target for raids. After surrendering into them and then leaving a bit later because of harassment, they warred us and forced us to leave our lovely town at the Crossroads. The ruin is still there if anyone wants to visit... anyway, after we left, we moved into a swamp, but I was broken and when the same person who forced us out of our old town followed us to the swamp I pretty much gave up on Massive for a bit and left the faction in OctoberGwens capable hands. She grew it into a notable roleplay faction located in Ithania, at the town of Hallows End, which was completely removed after the GwenTom incident. RP wise, it was claimed by the jungle with few survivors. The faction eventually disbanded when staff forced it to under the rule of... of.... someone can fill that in later I suppose.
Max Population: 40 or so.
Settlements: TheRetreat, Crossroads Town, The Town on the Water, Hallows End
Leader(s): Mecharic, OctoberGwen, Whatstheirname.
Location: Deandroc, Ellador, Ithania

Hisoka:
Originally named "TheEnclave" then "TheMirk", Hisoka was another one of my flimsy attempts at going inactive on MassiveCraft. I used it as a storage faction prior to moving into it with my primary account. This faction then moved to Ithania, into the center of a massive swamp (hence the name change "TheMirk") and there I built a small fort and claimed the swamp, because I was awesome like that. After a decent amount of time, I again grew lonely in my castle and started inviting people. And more people. And more people. We eventually maxed out at some 112 people at our largest, with our average being 80-90 members. The largest invite-only faction on MassiveCraft. As far as I know, it still holds that place. Anyway, the faction grew, expanded, became mighty in numbers. We built multiple towns in multiple worlds, and eventually we spread too thin - one faction could no longer sustain the ambitions of the 12 or so officers I had. Everyone wanted a town, but we didn't have the power to claim them, so I broke the faction down into the Collection of Factions, which are still technically called "Hisoka". The factions created out of the officers and members of Hisoka are: Docktown, Theradin, Enclave, JupusLaurona, and Suncrest. Theradin is the original faction, just renamed and reclaimed.
Max Population: 112 players, maybe more.
Settlements: Fort/Castle Mirk, Hagakure City, Seacrest, Sunna Tar, Wilderfend, Alteris Fortress, Enclave, Embassy, Bridgetown, Docktown, Gran Laurona, various smaller claims and outposts.
Leader(s): Mecharic, Cruallassar
Location: Deandroc, Ellador, Ithania, Gana Isha, Kelmoria

Docktown:
Docktown started out as, you guessed it, a Storage Faction. Anyone else see a pattern here? Anyway, after moving my bum arse to Docktown during "The Split" of Hisoka, I moved to New Ceardia. And then I built. I decided "Screw claiming, ima build a giant sandstone city!". So I did. And then I claimed it. Because I'm awesome like that. Docktown has it's own faction page and roleplay history and culture, though right now it sucks at meeting my ideal... whatever, it's fun :)
Max Population: 35-40 members and growing.
Settlements: Docktown, Forest Village, Miair Town
Leader(s): Mecharic
Location: Deandroc, New Ceardia, Fendarfall

And now, having swamped the forum with so many screenshots and thumbnails I fear it may crash... I bid you all flee before my might, with your feeble little factions and your feeble little towns and your feeble little management skills and your... ah, who am I kidding. Someone one-up me damnit!

I'm not the owner of Helvetica....but this is our history: http://helveticaempire.forumotion.eu/t3-helvetica-chronicle

piazza.png

The Helvetica Empire never set out to become an Empire. Much like the seedling cannot fathom the great tree it will once become, when the two founding fathers Heliat and Jonaethiel established themselves on that little island, they had no idea of the mighty empire that would spring forth. Little more than a ridge that protruded from the sea, the founding island was barren. It was bound to be, so close to the southern Tundra little spawned in the way of life.

As with any newborn, the pioneering voyage and exploration was tough and exhausting. Famine constantly plagued the forefathers. Wheat would not grow fast enough, fish would not bite.. all the while they sat on this rocky outcrop, battling the elements without a bed to call their own, without walls to stand in the chilling winds' way.

...

One thing was for certain though, the founders of Helvetica vouched never to be reduced to cowering in dugout caves and tunnels. One does not simply plan a great empire from within a hole in the ground! Jonaethiel and Heliat did not rest upon that wretched rock until a keep towered over them, sheltering them from the vile elements that roamed this edge of the wilderness.

Establishing the Keep

Once the bare essentials such as food and shelter had been established, our forefathers then turned their attention to

On the moving to the mainland

Upon establishing the island village and discovering the mainland close by, it was decided that expansion was inevitable. The small outcrop could never support a larger populous, and therefore an exodus occurred to the mainland. The original town hall (on the site of which now stands a bowyers) was founded on the shoreline.

The first new member

It was during this early expansion that it was realised that wool was an essential material. Helvetica thus was to make its first venture onto the world stage. After some initial bargaining a deal was struck with an unknown, independent mason called Deaconem to buy 2 sheep. Despite the help of Dea, the trek was too long and perilous for the animals; nevertheless Helvetica still profited as Dea, hounded by bandits, decided to join the nation for its protection. In return Dea offered his skills as a mason and designed the walls of Helvetica, and provided much material for the building of said structure.

On housing

One of the cornerstones of a happy populace is the provision of decent shelter. It was decided that in the interest of equality, a standard blueprint would be used for all new citizen housing. Built in a Western European renaissance style, the accommodation is spacious and free. Those who have proved themselves loyal and trustworthy were allowed to move up the housing ladder, building their own houses or buying upper class accommodation from the city authorities.

On food

Helvetica also marches on its stomach, and therefore a farming district was established early in the settlements history. Fields of wheat and herds of animals were established to prepare for the population boom. Granaries were to be built across the city to keep the people fed. In time vineyards and sugar plantations were also established, and most recently a cocoa bean farm, thus providing the nation with all possible living materials (excluding lumber)

The first conflict – the Helvetican-Osion War (+ the development of barns)

As the nation began to become established, Helvetica was declared war on by dissident members of Osion. Initial raids by rabid Osians exposed the weaknesses of leaving livestock in open fields, slaughtering every animal they could find. Therefore barns were developed to protect future generations of animals, and the products gathered from them.

After two raids in which casualties were sustained, heated debates between pro-war and anti-war groups ensued, over whether to continue the war try and gain revenge for the raids, or sign a treaty to ensue the safety of the nation from future attacks. In the end it was concluded that Helvetica was a peaceful nation, and thus grudges were forgotten and a treaty signed. The leader of Osion was a decent man and explained that it was not the real leadership of the nation who declared war. As reparations, those involved were to apologise and later exiled from Osion. Thus after treaty was signed, the leader of Osion visited Helvetica to seal the bond. Later the two nations would become allies. Peace had returned to Helvetica, yet it would not be the last conflict in its history.

On Helvetican society

All societies need a hierarchy, and in Helvetica a three tier system formed. At the top are the leaders of Helvetica, who plan the city and build its public buildings. Under them are the lords of Helvetica, each of whom owns a district. Each district has essential buildings such as a granary, yet the particulars of the buildings within it are left to the lord. Housing within these districts provide housing for the bottom rung of society, which consists of new citizens and manual labourers who either do not wish to be district owners.

I can't explain the history of my FACS but in everyone of them iv been an officer these factions were. Trigent. Olympus, westfall, Algaron, thaelyn ,arthain , blackhaven, and my current faction with banshee

TO fill in some holes (the ones you noted anyway), DezyPuppy became the leader after Gwen was... after Gwen left. And the "few survivors" would be characters I have created (two children who were told by their parents to leave).

Used to be an officer in Osion, Mecharic randomly gave me leadership of Zion after Spartan (The original officer that was given leadership) went inactive. I started screwing around in Zion, digging out a river through it, then before I knew it I was inviting more and more members, until Zion had become one of the most active factions on the server. After awhile we moved from our original desert base in Ceardia to an Ellador Mountain near the small(at least it was back then) faction of Osai. After a few months of high activity, I started running out of time to run Zion and the faction went into a gradual decline. I gave Zion to Xanderab, who's been doing a pretty good job with Zion, making it more active and getting a stable base of members. After that I basically became a mix between a tourist and a hobo, wandering around different factions and sightseeing. I joined Hisoka somewhere in the mix of things, and started settling down again. I invited a few dozen members to Wilderfend, accidentally making it a bit of a "noob town", then I gained leadership of Enclave during the Great Split of Hisoka. I invited a few members, then gave leadership to Venger200 due to my lack of available time on Massive.

How could you not mention me once? I mean... I was only the most fashionable officer we had, and the coolest..and the most helpful. Gosh, I am offended. Plus, I was the only one to not make you mad, since I never asked for a town, and paid for my own faction! Some People!

((This is a joke, for those of you who haven't caught on. Don't chide me for my arrogance :P))

heh... at least I remember you. I can't remember any of my first generation Hisokian Officers except Elkenator, and that's cause he ended up griefing the crap out of one of my builds... XD

In defense of my failed memory I say now "A man may forget his friends, but he will always remember his enemies." Consider yourselves lucky if I completely forgot about you in my little diddy, because that means you didn't piss me off enough to be remembered XD

J/k, I wuv you all! :)

Mech basically said everything about every faction I have ever been in, (which is Hisoka, and later Theridan as its leader) but I thought I would post a few more screenshots of Alteris as it is now, as those already posted are slightly outdated.

Also, we are recruiting elves, if any elf wants to join us! (-shamelessly uses this thread for personal gain and recruitment-:D)

I started out over a year ago, in global chat in Silveredge I saw a faction known as Zion was open to join so I joined it since I was knew. After a while I became active with the community with people such as Rabbits_Cry and favoured who was the leader in our Ceardian Base. Even though we were attacked a lot, I still enjoyed being in Zion and it never crossed my mind to quit. When we found out that Ceardia was getting deleted we had to move everything to Ellador and we settled in a cave. Over time we grew and shrunk but we never dissolved. We saw the rise, and the fall of Vectics, the joining and the inactivity of long known players like Cyberpumpkin and JudeFlame. Eventually Favoured retired and I was left with leadership, of course I know I never was or will be a good as leader as favoured but I will try to reinstate Zion to it's full purpose and order bringing pvp and rp in one faction. Here we are in our New Ceardia base where we will see how the tides will turn from here.

Oh this is neat. Haven started out about 6 months ago as "Mercenary," with the tagline, "Out for hire, totally not evil." We petered off pretty quick, not even a fizzle. About 3-ish months ago I came back with a vampire named Faust and changed the name to "Haven," with the purpose of making an unassuming little hamlet which would be used as a front to lure people in. Had a few slaves, but after the mutiny, the facade sorta became real.

I was Originally in a faction with BeeRando, was in there for about 5 months...
got bored and then left and worked as a spy,
saved up for a faction, made a faction called "The Corrupt" With shorkpeto.
After that I went inactive for about 10 months,
came back on joined a faction called myrmidons, which was led by yap and then later taken over by Homi4Real.
went inactive due to bordom,
became active again,
joined hisoka,
was accused of being a spy ( Go figure ),
was later released for my charges of being a "Spy",
Became officer, got my own faction in the split.
And now im here :D
