This suggestion is mainly to encourage a different direction in Vampire Roleplay. 80% of Vampires on the server seem to be "Virtuous Vampires", "Holy Vampires", or "Good-hearted Vampires". Maybe they want to play a "Vamp with a soul", If you've seen Buffy The Vampire Slayer. And if you have seen Buffy, you would know that maybe .01% of vampires in the world should be good. Vampires are evil. What I'm trying to get at is that Vampire are the result of a disease that corrupts one mentally and physically, turning them into a very embodiment of evil. It should be incredibly rare that a vampire is good, and can live in a faction with non-infected beings. Now, I know what all the vampires are thinking. "Alright, well I'll be that one vampire that is good, the others will be evil!" Well, It doesn't work that way, because everyone has that idea. If you are a vampire, (I myself am not), pretend to be your roleplay character. (Which you should be doing anyway :p) Consider this- I am a savage, unholy creature of darkness. So why am I farting around in this city, building houses with all of these good guys? Vampires, according to not just the lore of our world, but pretty much all lore, are creatures rejected from society that live in either dark caves with other vampires, or a house/castle off in the middle of nowhere. Skyrim portrayed vampires really well, with the many caves, as well as Castle Volkihar. I'm not saying we should be like Skyrim, that just happened to be a good example I thought of. Anyways, I digress. My point is that a vast majority of vampires choose to live in cities, instead of living in the wilderness with other vampires, or even factionless on their own. If you don't want to live that lifestyle, or un-lifestyle (heh heh), then you shouldn't be a vampire. I don't think the kind chaps who made this server intended it to be like this, in which all the vampires run around announcing their disease for all to hear, and, rather than treating Vampirism with role-play purposes, it is just a stat-change to many people. I understand this would make relations complicated, as many vampires would not want to leave their city homes, and even in the faction I live in, Osai, there are vampires living their as my friends. I like them, but from a roleplay perspective, my character doesn't. Does anybody agree? Let me know.

Too many average joe vampires in cities. I want more Political Vampires in cities. No one knows they're a vamp, or is too afraid to tell anyone because doing so would mean the full might of political sway that vampire has would come crashing down on the loud mouth. There should be more Vampire Counsels pulling strings in the large and darkened manors near the outskirts of cities.
Not 'all' vampires are savage monsters, that's not what makes the civil vampires rare, it's being good that does. Be a civil vampire, hang out with the bloodsacks during your downtime. But don't enjoy it, and don't forget they're still food. They're lesser beings than you and should be put in their place, beneath you. It's just that there's so many of them, you can't openly stand above them or they'll rise up like a wave of fire ants. Get into what they need to survive and put them down through that while openly complaining about it 'with' them. You're more intelligent than they are, you're more savvy than they are, and you have aeons of experience over them. (Long lived races like dwarves and elves don't apply there) Use it to your advantage.

That's your everyday politician, if I stand corrected.. Do you watch C-SPAN?

That's a very good point Draco, and I was thinking a similar thing, just hadn't developed it as much as you. Some vampires are tricksters, cunning and intelligent, who rather than using brute force to destroy opponents, they warp their minds around one individual victim, allowing them to live in a city, picking off victims as they choose. If that's the case though, they still should maintain some form of secrecy about their true intentions. However you play it out, whether you are the savage time, or the cunning civil vampire, the roleplay for vampires (Well, everyone really, but mostly vampires) needs to be amped up to provide more reasonable stories, and make it more realistic. Or at least as realistic as a fantasy world can be.

Although your idea does seem good, the possibilities of "picking people off one-by-one" is very slim, and not at all possible with protected areas or SafeZone.

Well I didn't mean literally picking them off one by one, It was just a roleplayish idea, and they would just be more subtle. Because obviously once he was killed he would just respawn and tell everybody that the guy was a vampire.

Vampires are a continuing source of concern and annoyance, but also of conceptual changes. We will change vampires at some point. Currently however, other plugins such as chat, minigames and other matters require more immediate attention.

Well this isn't just a suggestion for the admins, since I'm not necessarily suggesting any mechanical changes or rules. This should be heard by many normal members, to treat vampires more realistically.
