• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

Undead lore has been "undead" for quite a while. It was once a playable race on MassiveCraft, but later transitioned into an affliction of sorts that could be applied to any race. There had been numerous calls to re-integrate Undead into lore as something playable, but because we were having issues working out the specifics in the middle of Magic reworks and the Mutator release, this was put off a lot. Due to recent movements by players however, it was moved up in the priority listing, and now has been re-released, to make sure the information is available for the players who want to use it here and now.

What changed:
  • There are now four types of undead, Mortis Daël, Mortis Käl, Mortis Kul, Mortis Javalis and Mortis Sul.
  • Mortis Daël and Käl are mostly Altalar based in preparation of the Altalar update.
  • Mortis Sul are the old "wandering sad undead" with a more final twist.
  • Mortis Kul are much of the same "evil" undead like the Mortis Kal were in the past.
  • Mortis Javalis are a new more "morally grey" undead who retain their own personality and behavior.
Needless to say, plenty of reading material. We've tried to make Undeadism as morally ambiguous as possible, while also creating venues for Undead creatures to not just be hated by literally everyone, but to have specific people which they can roleplay with. Undead are fairly easy to spot, but are certainly not shambling corpses so there is some room for subterfuge and deceit. Any character can become an undead and you don't need a character permission or application to play one.
