• Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

I've heard of a cure for it, but I'm not too sure. I was told it involves a high skill of alchemy. Can I just get my undead friend to drink every potion that a tier 8 alchemist can make, then have him change his race? This is for RP reasons, and I'd rather not have his character die off, so I'm just curious if maybe you guys have done anything different or heard of anything different. It'd be great to know of as many possible 'cures' as possible, so all ideas are accepted...unless they're make no sense what so ever.

You can't...cure undeadism in RP...I don't think...

There's only really one way, from what I know. You'd need to find a Soul Mage that was willing to take the soul from your rotting corpse and transfer it into a new body. But at this time, I don't think there are any regularly played Soul Mages. However, MonMarty does have a character that is adept in the art.

Let me explain this. If you were going to use a soul mage to transfer there soul to another body, there would have to be a person willing enough to let someone take control of there body and like possess them. Also, if a Undead didn't know this, then.... You can't cure death. It happen to them, and they are already dead. There is really no reason that a Undead should be desperate for a cure, they died, but came back. They got to live 40 more years until they finally die, which is a gift and they should accept it. This is what they get, even though they are rotting away, they should accept it.

Do you want to walk around, smelling like a corpse, having everyone hating you, and, no matter how much you wanted to, you could never die?

Well it is very selfish of them. Every gift comes with a curse. So, they should stop be children and just accept it. Or just throw themselves in fire and kill themselves, and another 40 years of rotting then dying again.

Can you just not. Stop criticizing the way our characters react to a freakin' dead people.

I hardly call walking around as a rotting corpse that's doomed to end up a mindless killer a "gift".

Some don't even get to live 'til 40 years... I think, considering mine lives outside of Regalia, and has trouble breathing (Strangled to death *aka; choked), has about 2-3 years left tops to live... I'm pretty sure. My sources/estimation might be wrong.

No, you can't cure yourself of being dead, just like vampirism. Your organs are probably already been rotting away past functionality.
Mmm, but are their painkillers? Like that sort of thing... And how long does an Undead have in their un-life? Do they need organs? Blood?

Also just saying... shouldn't this be in Lore Q and A thread? Just wondering since it seems like a lore based question.

That's actually not entirely true. Undead rot and decay, their body does just like their mind does. At the time someone becomes undead, they tend not to "exist" longer than 40 years before their mind goes completely down the drain, and they are effectively only grunting zombies.

Also on the subject of the thread: There is a workaround method to turning an undead into a living person, but that is usually reserved to special right by the RP staff. It has been done twice since it's inception, in both cases the characters of the respective individuals contributed much to the roleplay scene, and we decided having them killed would be a shame.

What are people on about?
Undead and vampires are curable O_o
Undead - Soul Mage + Willing Host
Vampire - Pray to an Altar of Light [Vampires rotting away? They're not dead.]
[Your mind doesn't heal though I don't think, but it does stop its path to madness as soon as you're cured, so if you were about to go mad, you're still about to go mad, but you're not actually approaching it.]

In the words of my character, Bart, "Ain't no way t' change the past, best t' just go an' forget about it. All y' need t' know is that life's gotten worse, everyone around hates ya, an' no amount a bathin'll clean off the stench. It's best we just stay down 'ere where we ain't hurtin' no-one, an' they ain't got no reasons to hurt us."

Do you need special permission to rp as a soul mage?
