  • Inventory Split Incoming

MassiveCraft will be implementing an inventory split across game modes to improve fairness, balance, and player experience. Each game mode (Roleplay and Survival) will have its own dedicated inventory going forward. To help players prepare, we’ve opened a special storage system to safeguard important items during the transition. For full details, read the announcement here: Game Mode Inventory Split blog post.

Your current inventories, backpacks, and ender chest are in the shared Medieval inventory. When the new Roleplay inventory is created and assigned to the roleplay world(s) you will lose access to your currently stored items.

    Important Dates

    • April 1: Trunk storage opens.
    • May 25: Final day to submit items for storage.
    • June 1: Inventories are officially split.

Please make sure to submit any items you wish to preserve in the trunk storage or one of the roleplay worlds before the deadline. After the split, inventories will no longer carry over between game modes.

In anticipation of the confirmation hearing of markmarshals this evening, the War Ministry publishes lingering thoughts of ethos toward pursuing conflict against dissidents within Aloria.

It is this War Ministry's firm conviction that all battle should be waged in a dignified fashion observant of the Everwatcher's vocation, understanding that if Ailor will someday guide Aloria to piety and paradise, that it should be done with in mind that those who are to be conquered should not be treated as the foreign dissidents of today, but rather, the proud Regalian tomorrow.

Let it be clear: The War Ministry views armed conflict as a means to the Everwatcher's end; and not an end in of itself, that conquest be had for the sake of bettering one's own standing, or indeed, wanton slaughter.

For indeed, to conquer a territory by ways of subverted combat, salting their farms, murdering civilians and devastating existing infrastructure, is a temporary bandage to a permanent problem of enlightening the world to the Emperor's love. Indeed, generating resentment during and in the aftermath of conquest only perpetuates disloyalty, and does not resolve it.

It is the disregard of satellites—those such as Torse and Arlora, who have for years sat abraded by the Bone Horrors with little interference from the marshal's cabinet—that erodes confidence in the Empire. After all, what is the point of peacefully submitting to Regalia when there is little confidence one will be protected?

I propose we right wrongs and prove to the world the Everwatcher loves, but He does indeed protect; and as the arms of the Emperor, we must secure the Empire from external threats with our militaries.

In another vein of thought, it should also be noted the callous apathy with which former administrations treated the common Regalian soldier; mashing numbers against objectives, hoping sheer volume shall overwhelm the enemy. This is a figment of the past. The generals and admirals of today shall seek to demonstrate dignity to the Regalian soldier, veering from treating them as expendable numbers in a ledger and toward treating their lives as valuable and dignified, understanding that where there is bravery in the hearts of a Regalian soldier, there is also a trust in one's generals to show calculated restraint—to avoid sending soldiers to their deaths as "honorable sacrifices in the name of the greater good."

And not only should the Regalian Tenpenny not be shuffled into losing battles with so little regard for their lives; so, too, should the inevitable and unavoidable loss of life not be in vain—That every victory not be taken for granted with impulsive glory-seeking that sees individuals of high-value captured in fruitless endeavors for fame and prestige.

Yet furthermore, in this new system of governance, new considerations need to be made; that there are four markmarshals, and six foreign consuls, in addition to a War Minister. It is this War Ministry's conviction that an ethos of "no surprises" be adhered, keeping in mind what one appendage of the Empire does affects all the Empire, and that each one's competencies must not only be respected, but utilized for the good of the Empire.

Communication and collaboration will be paramount moving forward, that no wing of the government shall work toward one outcome, and another wing work toward a completely different one. An old addage of my mentor knight, Paladin Galdebrand, was that a bad plan executed perfectly is better than a good plan that falls apart to disunity. Regular meetings, communication by letters and affirmation of responsibilities is a must moving toward resolution of the problems the government faces.

I write these words as a prelude to the campaign of the War Ministry. Good luck to all who seek appointments.
