The Order Of Batius - Regalian Bloodsports

The Order of Batius is an organization that has provided entertainment and work for the Vladno settlers in Etosil for generations. It deals in legal quasi-Slavery in accordance to the Tyat law, where the slaves are trained to combat each other to the death for the entertainment of a crowd. The Gladiators, as they are called, are men and women down on their luck who have been given a second chance at redemption by serving under a Lityel as a slave; their lives are often short and glorious, with the promise of riches and freedom as well as death and ridicule awaiting them in the arena.

OOC Information

The Order of Batius is an avenue for Regalian Gladiator roleplay, where the contestants participate in duels, skirmishes and other such events for glory and honor. Players are allowed to sign up with both existing characters, as well as new characters made exclusively for the order. Winning and losing a fight does not mean death necessarily, and characters lives will be spared as often as possible. In the few rare circumstances where a death would be necessary, your consent to said death will be asked, and if you refuse then your refusal will be respected.
The Order of Batius utilizes the villas next to the Arena in regalia as their training grounds and general home. All Gladiators are permitted to stay in these villas, and use them however they wish. Gladiators are also allowed free reign to walk around the city, and engage in all its pleasantries, but should they break any laws they will be harshly punished by their Lityel.

There are few restrictions on what races can become Gladiators, though Haat-Maraya and all forms of Sanguine are barred from service; curiously enough, mages are not though, and are actively encouraged to join the order.

It is also possible to apply for other roles such as Slave Medic, or Slave Servant. If you wish to apply for such a role, specify that in the application.
