The Lord Commander's Edict - On Rumors, Hawks And Roses

Denizens of Old Town and New,

Much has occured over the last couple of weeks since the Diet of Old Town that I feel is my prerogative to address. Firstly, the salacious rumors that have been festering on the mouths of the wretched of the Old Town gangs. My House has been one that has risen to any challenge at any time to put down corruption, anarchism and revolution both inside and out of Old Town and the Undercity. Insulting my dignity by assuming camaraderie between myself and the criminal element in Old Town is paramount to Regalian Insult Law and will prompt a response, as was exampled on the Sovereign of the Kathar, Nace of Kinverla and various members of Old Town Gangs this last week. To the gangs of Old Town, I heed you this. I keep my word, keep testing me and it wont just be Rose Court my men will involve themselves in. Continue prodding the wolf forward and your future will be very Violet. Throughout /all/ of Old Town.

Furthermore, in light of recent confusion it must be said that the Violet Order will be continuing its regular patrols on the Rose Court route to enforce a Violet Neutrality. By that we mean that in this district, the guards will not arrest anyone, known criminal or not, unless they themselves commit a criminal act within said district. I pray this clears any lasting stupefaction.

Lastly, on the topic of the Blackhawks and their current edicts. Nace of Kinverla is being given a chance to keep his written swill and his ideologies to Old Town. Continued badgering of the Violet Order and its guardsmen in the wake of their duties will be met with lethal force for him and those who would call themselves his ally. My patience is running thin, one more act against the City Guard, one more act against House Howlester or the Inquisition, and I will see your head mounted on a wall outside the Prison and your allies and friends in chains for assisting you in this jacobin and treasonous nonsense. For any of you who care to believe his degenerate mutterings, I would like to remind you that the Guards themselves are not immune from legal punishment. The Grand Magistrate of the Violet Order is available to form an official complaint with against corruption within the Order, and all complaints will be dealt with swiftly and severely.

TLDR - Violets are enforcing Neutrality in Rose Court for better integration of Guard RP and Old Town RP but will not be stopping gang takeovers throughout Old Town. They will respond only against threats to both the Violet Order, Nobility and the Government and are not meant to participate in the system.

Nace cast a hand over his scarred eye, the blurred visage as he sat slumped on the bed, looking down at the driftwood floor beneath him before throwing a shirt over himself, the mangy commoner made his way out into the streets, a place he was so familiar with- greetings came and went as he shuffled along toward the sewers. He wasn't a happy man, no, but he was a pleading one. The Gallovian, for once in his life had his tail between his legs and he truly was intoxicated by the feeling of life, true essence, something he'd never thought he'd admit to himself. He made his way toward his office before glancing down at the ruffled papers and spilled ink, marking several notices with an 'X' through them before crossing out his own name, 'Nace of Kinverla, Protector of the Blackhawks'. He grimaced before he finally sat down and painfully wrote his own notice to the public.

Dear Old Town,

There was a time and place for The Blackhawks, you see the were created in the light of the deaths of the common people. Folk who I grew up with, folk who I saw on a day-to-day occurance. These friends, even some family of mine have casted their own memory on this district. Furthermore, I've come to realize the signifigance of my actions against the state. You do not play with something bigger than you, something that will single-handedly put you in the ground. I've earned my reputation within these confines, I'm no stranger to conflict, dealing with those who find their way against me- as you all know. Though, on account of everything I will leave my title as a Blackhawk at the foot of the sewers to presue my own tasks in which I feel rise above the act of being a gang leader, and will equally treat the folk on the westside of the bridge with the respect they deserve. Hopefully insighting less conflict and ruckus without my head on the wanted board, for now.

Below the notice however would be an additional parchment of paper, which would have a scribbled drawing made of thick black ink, the drawing would be appear to be a rose with its petals wilting.

Azra had glanced past the Lord Commander's letter with ease, likely having already read the damn thing. What did catch her attention, though, was the ruffled notice from Nace. She squinted a moment, drawing close to the page to read it with her left eye shut.

"I'll be damned," murmured the shadowless woman. She folded her arms after reading, opening her Ailor blue eye once more. Then, after several moments of thought, the Qadir turned herself about and marched onwards. Visitation with a lost friend, it seems.

The muscled, armoured bunkhouse owner merely looked to the message and shrugged. "As long as those fuckers don't come down to the sewers I will live peaceful and well."
The shadow however merely stared at the notice and copied it down. Perhaps the rumours were wrong. Most likely they were. After all they had worked with Howlester for a while and the one thing he wasn't was corrupt.
